Psalms 82

1 The psalmist, having exhorted the judges, 5 and reproved their negligence, 8 prayeth God to judge.

 82:1 [[A Psalm of Asaph.]] God 430 takes 5324 His stand 5324 in His own congregation 5712; He judges 8199 in the midst 7130 of the rulers 430.

 82:2 How 4970 long 5704 4970 will you judge 8199 unjustly 5766 And show 5375 partiality 6440 5375 to the wicked 7563? Selah 5542.

 82:3 Vindicate 8199 the weak 1800b and fatherless 3490; Do 6663 justice 6663 to the afflicted 6041 and destitute 7326.

 82:4 Rescue 6403 the weak 1800b and needy 34; Deliver 5337 [them] out of the hand 3027 of the wicked 7563.

 82:5 ¶ They do not know 3045 nor 3808 do they understand 995; They walk 1980 about in darkness 2825; All 3605 the foundations 4144 of the earth 776 are shaken 4131.

 82:6 I said 559, “You are gods 430, And all 3605 of you are sons 1121 of the Most 5945b High 5945b.

 82:7 “Nevertheless 403 you will die 4191 like men 120 And fall 5307 like [any] one 259 of the princes 8269.”

 82:8 Arise 6965, O God 430, judge 8199 the earth 776! For it is You who possesses 5157 all 3605 the nations 1471.
