Psalms 72
1 David, praying for Solomon, sheweth the goodness and glory of his, in type, and in truth, of Christ's Kingdom. 18 He blesseth God.
72:1
[[[A Psalm] of Solomon.]] Give 5414 the king 4428 Your judgments 4941, O God 430, And Your righteousness 6666 to the king’s 4428 son 1121.
72:2
May he judge 1777 Your people 5971a with righteousness 6664 And Your afflicted 6041 with justice 4941.
72:3
Let the mountains 2022 bring 5375 peace 7965 to the people 5971a, And the hills 1389, in righteousness 6666.
72:4
May he vindicate 8199 the afflicted 6041 of the people 5971a, Save 3467 the children 1121 of the needy 34 And crush 1792 the oppressor 6231.
72:5
¶ Let them fear 3372a You while 5973 the sun 8121 [endures], And as long 6440 as the moon 3394, throughout all 1755 generations 1755.

¶ For he will deliver 5337 the needy 34 when he cries 7768 for help 7768, The afflicted 6041 also, and him who has 369 no 369 helper 5826.
72:13
He will have 2347 compassion 2347 on the poor 1800b and needy 34, And the lives 5315 of the needy 34 he will save 3467.
72:14
He will rescue 1350 their life 5315 from oppression 8496 and violence 2555, And their blood 1818 will be precious 3365 in his sight 5869;
72:15
So may he live 2421a, and may the gold 2091 of Sheba 7614 be given 5414 to him; And let them pray 6419 for him continually 8548; Let them bless 1288 him all 3605 day 3117 long.

¶ May there be abundance 6451 of grain 1250 in the earth 776 on top 7218 of the mountains 2022; Its fruit 6529 will wave 7493 like [the cedars of] Lebanon 3844; And may those from the city 5892b flourish 6692a like vegetation 6212a of the earth 776.

May his name 8034 endure 1961 forever 5769; May his name 8034 increase 5125 as long 6440 as the sun 8121 [shines]; And let [men] bless 1288 themselves by him; Let all 3605 nations 1471 call 833 him blessed 833.

¶ Blessed 1288 be the LORD 3068 God 430, the God 430 of Israel 3478, Who alone 905 works 6213a wonders 6381.
