1 An exhortation to a solemn praising of God. 4 God challengeth that duty by reason of his benefits. 8 God, exhorting to obedience, complaineth of their disobedience, which proveth their own hurt.

 81:1 [[For the choir director; on the Gittith. [A Psalm] of Asaph.]] Sing 7442 for joy 7442 to God 430 our strength 5797; Shout 7321 joyfully 7321 to the God 430 of Jacob 3290.

 81:2 Raise 5375 a song 2172, strike 5414 the timbrel 8596, The sweet 5273b sounding 5273b lyre 3658 with the harp 5035b.

 81:3 Blow 8628 the trumpet 7782 at the new 2320 moon 2320, At the full 3677 moon 3677, on our feast 2282 day 3117.

 81:4 For it is a statute 2706 for Israel 3478, An ordinance 4941 of the God 430 of Jacob 3290.

 81:5 He established 7760 it for a testimony 5715 in Joseph 3130 When he went 3318 throughout 5921 the land 776 of Egypt 4714. I heard 8085 a language 8193 that I did not know 3045:

 81:7 “You called 7121 in trouble 6869a and I rescued 2502a you; I answered 6030a you in the hiding 5643a place 5643a of thunder 7482; I proved 974 you at the waters 4325 of Meribah 4809. Selah 5542.

 81:8 “Hear 8085, O My people 5971a, and I will admonish 5749b you; O Israel 3478, if 518 you would listen 8085 to Me!

 81:9 “Let there be no 3808 strange 2114a god 410 among you; Nor 3808 shall you worship 7812 any foreign 5236 god 410.

 81:10 “I, the LORD 3068, am your God 430, Who brought 5927 you up from the land 776 of Egypt 4714; Open 7337 your mouth 6310 wide 7337 and I will fill 4390 it.

 81:11 ¶ “But My people 5971a did not listen 8085 to My voice 6963, And Israel 3478 did not obey 14 Me.

 81:12 “So I gave 7971 them over 7971 to the stubbornness 8307 of their heart 3820, To walk 1980 in their own devices 4156.

 81:13 “Oh 3863 that My people 5971a would listen 8085 to Me, That Israel 3478 would walk 1980 in My ways 1870!

 81:14 “I would quickly 4592 subdue 3665 their enemies 340 And turn 7725 My hand 3027 against 5921 their adversaries 6862c.

 81:15 “Those who hate 8130 the LORD 3068 would pretend 3584 obedience 3584 to Him, And their time 6256 [of punishment] would be forever 5769.

 81:16 “But I would feed 398 you with the finest 2459 of the wheat 2406, And with honey 1706 from the rock 6697 I would satisfy 7646 you.”
