1 David shewing his confidence in God craveth his help. 7 He rejoiceth in his mercy. 9 He prayeth in his calamity. 19 He praiseth God for his goodness.

 31:1 [[For the choir director. A Psalm of David.]] In You, O LORD 3068, I have taken 2620 refuge 2620; Let me never 408 5769 be ashamed 954; In Your righteousness 6666 deliver 6403 me.

 31:2 Incline 5186 Your ear 241 to me, rescue 5337 me quickly 4120; Be to me a rock 6697 of strength 4581, A stronghold 4686b to save 3467 me.

 31:3 For You are my rock 5553 and my fortress 4686b; For Your name’s 8034 sake 4616 You will lead 5148 me and guide 5095 me.

 31:4 You will pull 3318 me out of the net 7568 which 2098 they have secretly 2934 laid 2934 for me, For You are my strength 4581.

 31:5 Into Your hand 3027 I commit 6485 my spirit 7307; You have ransomed 6299 me, O LORD 3068, God 410 of truth 571.

 31:6 ¶ I hate 8130 those who regard 8104 vain 7723 idols 1892, But I trust 982 in the LORD 3068.

 31:7 I will rejoice 1523 and be glad 8055 in Your lovingkindness 2617a, Because 834 You have seen 7200 my affliction 6040a; You have known 3045 the troubles 6869a of my soul 5315,

 31:8 And You have not given 5462 me over 5462 into the hand 3027 of the enemy 340; You have set 5975 my feet 7272 in a large 4800 place 4800.

 31:9 ¶ Be gracious 2603a to me, O LORD 3068, for I am in distress 6887a; My eye 5869 is wasted 6244 away 6244 from grief 3708a, my soul 5315 and my body 990 [also].

 31:10 For my life 2425b is spent 3615 with sorrow 3015 And my years 8141 with sighing 585; My strength 3581b has failed 3782 because of my iniquity 5771, And my body 6106 has wasted 6244 away 6244.

 31:11 Because 4480 of all 3605 my adversaries 6887c, I have become 1961 a reproach 2781, Especially 3966 to my neighbors 7934, And an object 6343 of dread 6343 to my acquaintances 3045; Those who see 7200 me in the street 2351 flee 5074 from me.

 31:12 I am forgotten 7911 as a dead 4191 man 4191, out of mind 3820; I am 1961 like a broken 6 vessel 3627.

 31:13 For I have heard 8085 the slander 1681 of many 7227a, Terror 4032 is on every 5439 side 5439; While they took 3245 counsel 3245 together 3162 against 5921 me, They schemed 2161 to take 3947 away my life 5315.

 31:14 ¶ But as for me, I trust 982 in You, O LORD 3068, I say 559, “You are my God 430.”

 31:15 My times 6256 are in Your hand 3027; Deliver 5337 me from the hand 3027 of my enemies 340 and from those who persecute 7291 me.

 31:16 Make Your face 6440 to shine 215 upon Your servant 5650; Save 3467 me in Your lovingkindness 2617a.

 31:17 Let me not be put 954 to shame 954, O LORD 3068, for I call 7121 upon You; Let the wicked 7563 be put 954 to shame 954, let them be silent 1826a in Sheol 7585.

 31:18 Let the lying 8267 lips 8193 be mute 481, Which speak 1696 arrogantly 6277 against 5921 the righteous 6662 With pride 1346 and contempt 937.

 31:19 ¶ How 4100 great 7227a is Your goodness 2898, Which 834 You have stored 6845 up for those who fear 3372a You, Which You have wrought 6466 for those who take 2620 refuge 2620 in You, Before 6440 the sons 1121 of men 120!

 31:20 You hide 5641 them in the secret 5643a place 5643a of Your presence 6440 from the conspiracies 7407 of man 376; You keep 6845 them secretly 6845 in a shelter 5521 from the strife 7379 of tongues 3956.

 31:21 Blessed 1288 be the LORD 3068, For He has made 6381 marvelous 6381 His lovingkindness 2617a to me in a besieged 4692 city 5892b.

 31:22 As for me, I said 559 in my alarm 2648, “I am cut 1629a off 1629a from before 6440 Your eyes 5869”; Nevertheless 403 You heard 8085 the voice 6963 of my supplications 8469 When I cried 7768 to You.

 31:23 ¶ O love 157 the LORD 3068, all 3605 you His godly 2623 ones 2623! The LORD 3068 preserves 5341 the faithful 539 And fully 5921 3499a recompenses 7999a the proud 1346 doer 6213a.

 31:24 Be strong 2388 and let your heart 3824 take 553 courage 553, All 3605 you who hope 3176 in the LORD 3068.
