1 David prayeth for remission of sins, whereof he maketh a deep confession. 6 He prayeth for sanctification. 16 God delighteth not in sacrifice, but in sincerity. 18 He prayeth for the Church.
51:1
[[For the choir director. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.]] Be gracious 2603a to me, O God 430, according to Your lovingkindness 2617a; According to the greatness 7230 of Your compassion 7356 blot 4229a out my transgressions 6588.
51:2
Wash 3526 me thoroughly 7235a from my iniquity 5771 And cleanse 2891 me from my sin 2403b.
51:3
For I know 3045 my transgressions 6588, And my sin 2403b is ever 8548 before 5048 me.
51:4
Against You, You only 905, I have sinned 2398 And done 6213a what 7451a is evil 7451a in Your sight 5869, So 4616 that You are justified 6663 when You speak 1696 And blameless 2135 when You judge 8199.

¶ Behold 2005, I was brought 2342a forth 2342a in iniquity 5771, And in sin 2399 my mother 517 conceived 3179 me.

Behold 2005, You desire 2654a truth 571 in the innermost 2910 being 2910, And in the hidden 5640 part 5640 You will make me know 3045 wisdom 2451.
51:7
Purify 2398 me with hyssop 231, and I shall be clean 2891; Wash 3526 me, and I shall be whiter 3835a than 4480 snow 7950.
51:8
Make me to hear 8085 joy 8342 and gladness 8057, Let the bones 6106 which You have broken 1794 rejoice 1523.

Hide 5641 Your face 6440 from my sins 2399 And blot 4229a out all 3605 my iniquities 5771.

¶ Create 1254a in me a clean 2889 heart 3820, O God 430, And renew 2318 a steadfast 3559 spirit 7307 within 7130 me.
51:11
Do not cast 7993 me away 7993 from Your presence 6440 And do not take 3947 Your Holy 6944 Spirit 7307 from me.
51:12
Restore 2318 to me the joy 8342 of Your salvation 3468 And sustain 5564 me with a willing 5082 spirit 7307.
51:13
[Then] I will teach 3925 transgressors 6586 Your ways 1870, And sinners 2400 will be converted 7725 to You.

¶ Deliver 5337 me from bloodguiltiness 1818, O God 430, the God 430 of my salvation 8668; [Then] my tongue 3956 will joyfully 7442 sing 7442 of Your righteousness 6666.

For You do not delight 2654a in sacrifice 2077, otherwise I would give 5414 it; You are not pleased 7521 with burnt 5930a offering 5930a.

The sacrifices 2077 of God 430 are a broken 7665 spirit 7307; A broken 7665 and a contrite 1794 heart 3820, O God 430, You will not despise 959.

¶ By Your favor 7522 do 3190 good 3190 to Zion 6726; Build 1129 the walls 2346 of Jerusalem 3389.

Then 227 You will delight 2654a in righteous 6664 sacrifices 2077, In burnt 5930a offering 5930a and whole 3632 burnt 3632 offering 3632; Then 227 young 6499 bulls 6499 will be offered 5927 on Your altar 4196.
