Psalms 144

1 David blesseth God for his mercy both to him and to man. 5 He prayeth that God would powerfully deliver him from his enemies. 9 He promiseth to praise God. 11 He prayeth for the happy state of the kingdom.

 144:1 [[[A Psalm] of David.]] Blessed 1288 be the LORD 3068, my rock 6697, Who trains 3925 my hands 3027 for war 7128, [And] my fingers 676 for battle 4421;

 144:2 My lovingkindness 2617a and my fortress 4686b, My stronghold 4869 and my deliverer 6403, My shield 4043 and He in whom I take 2620 refuge 2620, Who subdues 7286 my people 5971a under 8478 me.

 144:3 O LORD 3068, what 4100 is man 120, that You take 3045 knowledge 3045 of him? Or the son 1121 of man 582, that You think 2803 of him?

 144:4 Man 120 is like 1819 a mere 1892 breath 1892; His days 3117 are like a passing 5674a shadow 6738.

 144:5 ¶ Bow 5186 Your heavens 8064, O LORD 3068, and come 3381 down 3381; Touch 5060 the mountains 2022, that they may smoke 6225.

 144:6 Flash 1299 forth 1299 lightning 1300 and scatter 6327a them; Send 7971 out Your arrows 2671 and confuse 2000 them.

 144:7 Stretch 7971 forth 7971 Your hand 3027 from on high 4791; Rescue 6475 me and deliver 5337 me out of great 7227a waters 4325, Out of the hand 3027 of aliens 1121 5236

 144:8 Whose 834 mouths 6310 speak 1696 deceit 7723, And whose right 3225 hand 3225 is a right 3225 hand 3225 of falsehood 8267.

 144:9 ¶ I will sing 7891 a new 2319 song 7892a to You, O God 430; Upon a harp 5035b of ten 6218 strings 6218 I will sing 2167 praises 2167 to You,

 144:10 Who gives 5414 salvation 8668 to kings 4428, Who rescues 6475 David 1732 His servant 5650 from the evil 7451a sword 2719.

 144:11 Rescue 6475 me and deliver 5337 me out of the hand 3027 of aliens 1121 5236, Whose 834 mouth 6310 speaks 1696 deceit 7723 And whose right 3225 hand 3225 is a right 3225 hand 3225 of falsehood 8267.

 144:12 ¶ Let our sons 1121 in their youth 5271 be as grown-up 1431 plants 5195, And our daughters 1323 as corner 2106 pillars fashioned 2404 as for a palace 1964;

 144:13 Let our garners 4200 be full 4392, furnishing 6329 every 2177 kind 2177 of produce, [And] our flocks 6629 bring 503 forth 503 thousands 505 and ten 7232a thousands 7232a in our fields 2351;

 144:14 Let our cattle 441a bear 5445 Without 369 mishap 6556 and without 369 loss 3318, [Let there be] no 369 outcry 6682 in our streets 7339!

 144:15 How blessed 835 are the people 5971a who 7945 are so 3602 situated; How blessed 835 are the people 5971a whose 7945 God 430 is the LORD 3068!
