Psalms 46

1 The confidence which the Church hath in God. 8 An exhortation to behold it.

 46:1 [[For the choir director. [A Psalm] of the sons of Korah, set to Alamoth. A Song.]] God 430 is our refuge 4268 and strength 5797, A very 3966 present 4672 help 5833 in trouble 6869a.

 46:2 Therefore 5921 3651 we will not fear 3372a, though the earth 776 should change 4171 And though the mountains 2022 slip 4131 into the heart 3820 of the sea 3220;

 46:3 Though its waters 4325 roar 1993 [and] foam 2560a, Though the mountains 2022 quake 7493 at its swelling 1346 pride 1346. Selah 5542.

 46:4 ¶ There is a river 5104 whose streams 6388 make 8055 glad 8055 the city 5892b of God 430, The holy 6918 dwelling 4908 places 4908 of the Most 5945b High 5945b.

 46:5 God 430 is in the midst 7130 of her, she will not be moved 4131; God 430 will help 5826 her when morning 1242 dawns 6437.

 46:6 The nations 1471 made 1993 an uproar 1993, the kingdoms 4467 tottered 4131; He raised 5414 His voice 6963, the earth 776 melted 4127.

 46:7 The LORD 3068 of hosts 6635 is with us; The God 430 of Jacob 3290 is our stronghold 4869. Selah 5542.

 46:8 ¶ Come 1980, behold 2372 the works 4659b of the LORD 3068, Who 834 has wrought 7760 desolations 8047 in the earth 776.

 46:9 He makes wars 4421 to cease 7673a to the end 7097a of the earth 776; He breaks 7665 the bow 7198 and cuts 7112 the spear 2595 in two 7112; He burns 8313 the chariots 5699 with fire 784.

 46:10 “Cease 7503 [striving] and know 3045 that I am God 430; I will be exalted 7311 among the nations 1471, I will be exalted 7311 in the earth 776.”
