Psalms 6

1 David's complaint in his sickness. 8 By faith he triumpheth over his enemies.

 6:1 [[For the choir director; with stringed instruments, upon an eight-string lyre. A Psalm of David.]] O LORD 3068, do not rebuke 3198 me in Your anger 639, Nor 408 chasten 3256 me in Your wrath 2534.

 6:2 Be gracious 2603a to me, O LORD 3068, for I [am] pining 536 away 536; Heal 7495 me, O LORD 3068, for my bones 6106 are dismayed 926.

 6:3 And my soul 5315 is greatly 3966 dismayed 926; But You, O LORD 3068—how 4970 long 5704 4970?

 6:4 ¶ Return 7725, O LORD 3068, rescue 2502a my soul 5315; Save 3467 me because 4616 of Your lovingkindness 2617a.

 6:5 For there 369 is no 369 mention 2143 of You in death 4194; In Sheol 7585 who 4310 will give 3034 You thanks 3034?

 6:6 ¶ I am weary 3021 with my sighing 585; Every 3605 night 3915 I make my bed 4296 swim 7811, I dissolve 4529 my couch 6210 with my tears 1832.

 6:7 My eye 5869 has wasted 6244 away 6244 with grief 3708a; It has become 6275 old 6275 because of all 3605 my adversaries 6887c.

 6:8 ¶ Depart 5493 from me, all 3605 you who do 6466 iniquity 205, For the LORD 3068 has heard 8085 the voice 6963 of my weeping 1065.

 6:9 The LORD 3068 has heard 8085 my supplication 8467, The LORD 3068 receives 3947 my prayer 8605.

 6:10 All 3605 my enemies 340 will be ashamed 954 and greatly 3966 dismayed 926; They shall turn 7725 back 7725, they will suddenly 7281 be ashamed 954.
