1 The virtue of God's blessing. 3 Good children are his gift.

 127:1 [[A Song of Ascents, of Solomon.]] Unless 518 3808 the LORD 3068 builds 1129 the house 1004, They labor 5998 in vain 7723 who build 1129 it; Unless 518 3808 the LORD 3068 guards 8104 the city 5892b, The watchman 8104 keeps 8245 awake 8245 in vain 7723.

 127:2 It is vain 7723 for you to rise 6965 up early 7925, To retire 3427 late 309, To eat 398 the bread 3899 of painful 6089a labors 6089a; For He gives 5414 to His beloved 3039 [even in his] sleep 8142.

 127:3 ¶ Behold 2009, children 1121 are a gift 5159 of the LORD 3068, The fruit 6529 of the womb 990 is a reward 7939.

 127:4 Like arrows 2671 in the hand 3027 of a warrior 1368, So 3651 are the children 1121 of one’s youth 5271.

 127:5 How blessed 835 is the man 1397 whose 834 quiver 827 is full 4390 of them; They will not be ashamed 954 When 3588 they speak 1696 with their enemies 340 in the gate 8179.
