Psalms 27
1 David sustaineth his faith by the power of God, 4 by his love to the service of God, 9 by prayer.
27:1
[[[A Psalm] of David.]] The LORD 3068 is my light 216 and my salvation 3468; Whom 4310 shall I fear 3372a? The LORD 3068 is the defense 4581 of my life 2425b; Whom 4310 shall I dread 6342?
27:2
When evildoers 7489a came 7126 upon me to devour 398 my flesh 1320, My adversaries 6862c and my enemies 340, they stumbled 3782 and fell 5307.
27:3
Though 518 a host 4264 encamp 2583 against 5921 me, My heart 3820 will not fear 3372a; Though 518 war 4421 arise 6965 against 5921 me, In [spite of] this 384 I shall be confident 982.
27:4
¶ One 259 thing 259 I have asked 7592 from the LORD 3068, that I shall seek 1245: That I may dwell 3427 in the house 1004 of the LORD 3068 all 3605 the days 3117 of my life 2425b, To behold 2372 the beauty 5278 of the LORD 3068 And to meditate 1239 in His temple 1964.
27:5
For in the day 3117 of trouble 7463a He will conceal 6845 me in His tabernacle 5520; In the secret 5643a place 5643a of His tent 168 He will hide 5641 me; He will lift 7311 me up on a rock 6697.
27:6
And now 6258 my head 7218 will be lifted 7311 up above 5921 my enemies 340 around 5439 me, And I will offer 2076 in His tent 168 sacrifices 2077 with shouts 8643 of joy 8643; I will sing 7891, yes, I will sing 2167 praises 2167 to the LORD 3068.
27:7
¶ Hear 8085, O LORD 3068, when I cry 7121 with my voice 6963, And be gracious 2603a to me and answer 6030a me.
27:8
[When You said], “Seek 1245 My face 6440,” my heart 3820 said 559 to You, “Your face 6440, O LORD 3068, I shall seek 1245.”
27:9
Do not hide 5641 Your face 6440 from me, Do not turn 5186 Your servant 5650 away 5186 in anger 639; You have been 1961 my help 5833; Do not abandon 5203 me nor 408 forsake 5800a me, O God 430 of my salvation 3468!
27:10
For my father 1 and my mother 517 have forsaken 5800a me, But the LORD 3068 will take 622 me up.
27:11
¶ Teach 3384 me Your way 1870, O LORD 3068, And lead 5148 me in a level 4334 path 734 Because 4616 of my foes 7796b.
27:12
Do not deliver 5414 me over to the desire 5315 of my adversaries 6862c, For false 8267 witnesses 5707 have risen 6965 against me, And such as breathe 3307 out violence 2555.
27:13
[I would have despaired] unless 3884a I had believed 539 that I would see 7200 the goodness 2898 of the LORD 3068 In the land 776 of the living 2416a.
