1 David prayeth to be delivered from his enemies. 6 He complaineth of their cruelty. 8 He trusteth in God. 11 He prayeth against them. 16 He praiseth God.
59:1
[[For the choir director; [set to] Al-tashheth. A Mikhtam of David, when Saul sent [men] and they watched the house in order to kill him.]] Deliver 5337 me from my enemies 340, O my God 430; Set 7682 me [securely] on high 7682 away from those who rise 6965 up against me.
59:2
Deliver 5337 me from those who do 6466 iniquity 205 And save 3467 me from men 376 of bloodshed 1818.
59:3
For behold 2009, they have set 693 an ambush 693 for my life 5315; Fierce 5794 men 5794 launch 1481b an attack 1481b against 5921 me, Not for my transgression 6588 nor 3808 for my sin 2403b, O LORD 3068,
59:4
For no 1097 guilt 5771 of [mine], they run 7323 and set 3559 themselves against me. Arouse 5782 Yourself to help 7122 me, and see 7200!
59:5
You, O LORD 3068 God 430 of hosts 6635, the God 430 of Israel 3478, Awake 7019a to punish 6485 all 3605 the nations 1471; Do not be gracious 2603a to any 3605 [who are] treacherous 898 in iniquity 205. Selah 5542.

They return 7725 at evening 6153, they howl 1993 like a dog 3611, And go 5437 around 5437 the city 5892b.
59:7
Behold 2009, they belch 5042 forth 5042 with their mouth 6310; Swords 2719 are in their lips 8193, For, [they say], “Who 4310 hears 8085?”
59:8
But You, O LORD 3068, laugh 7832 at them; You scoff 3932 at all 3605 the nations 1471.
59:9
¶ [Because of] his strength 5797 I will watch 8104 for You, For God 430 is my stronghold 4869.
59:10
My God 430 in His lovingkindness 2617a will meet 6923 me; God 430 will let me look 7200 [triumphantly] upon my foes 7796b.
59:11
Do not slay 2026 them, or 6435 my people 5971a will forget 7911; Scatter 5128 them by Your power 2428, and bring 3381 them down 3381, O Lord 136, our shield 4043.
59:12
[On account of] the sin 2403b of their mouth 6310 [and] the words 1697 of their lips 8193, Let them even be caught 3920 in their pride 1347b, And on account 4480 of curses 423 and lies 3585 which they utter 5608.
59:13
Destroy 3615 [them] in wrath 2534, destroy 3615 [them] that they may be no 369 more 369; That [men] may know 3045 that God 430 rules 4910 in Jacob 3290 To the ends 657 of the earth 776. Selah 5542.

They wander 5128 about for food 398 And growl 3885b if 518 they are not satisfied 7646.

¶ But as for me, I shall sing 7891 of Your strength 5797; Yes, I shall joyfully 7442 sing 7442 of Your lovingkindness 2617a in the morning 1242, For You have been 1961 my stronghold 4869 And a refuge 4498 in the day 3117 of my distress 6862b.
59:17
O my strength 5797, I will sing 2167 praises 2167 to You; For God 430 is my stronghold 4869, the God 430 who shows me lovingkindness 2617a.
