1 The prophet complaineth of the desolation of the sanctuary. 10 He moveth God to help in consideration of his power, 18 of his reproachful enemies, of his children, and of his Covenant.

 74:1 [[A Maskil of Asaph.]] O God 430, why 4100 have You rejected 2186a [us] forever 5331? Why does Your anger 639 smoke 6225 against the sheep 6629 of Your pasture 4830?

 74:2 Remember 2142 Your congregation 5712, which You have purchased 7069 of old 6924a, Which You have redeemed 1350 to be the tribe 7626 of Your inheritance 5159; [And] this 2088 Mount 2022 Zion 6726, where 2088 You have dwelt 7931.

 74:3 Turn 7311 Your footsteps 6471 toward the perpetual 5331 ruins 4876; The enemy 340 has damaged 7489a everything 3605 within the sanctuary 6944.

 74:4 Your adversaries 6887c have roared 7580 in the midst 7130 of Your meeting 4150 place 4150; They have set 7760 up their own standards 226 for signs 226.

 74:5 It seems 3045 as if one had lifted 935 up [His] axe 7134 in a forest 5441 of trees 6086.

 74:14 You crushed 7533 the heads 7218 of Leviathan 3882; You gave 5414 him as food 3978 for the creatures 5971a of the wilderness 6716b.

 74:15 You broke 1234 open 1234 springs 4599 and torrents 5158a; You dried 3001 up ever-flowing 386 streams 5104.

 74:16 Yours is the day 3117, Yours also 637 is the night 3915; You have prepared 3559 the light 3974 and the sun 8121.

 74:17 You have established 5324 all 3605 the boundaries 1367 of the earth 776; You have made 3335 summer 7019c and winter 2779.

 74:18 ¶ Remember 2142 this 384, O LORD 3068, that the enemy 340 has reviled 2778a, And a foolish 5036 people 5971a has spurned 5006 Your name 8034.

 74:19 Do not deliver 5414 the soul 5315 of Your turtledove 8449 to the wild 2421b beast 2421b; Do not forget 7911 the life 2421b of Your afflicted 6041 forever 5331.
