Psalms 68

1 A prayer at the removing of the Ark. 4 An exhortation to praise God for his mercies, 7 for his care of the Church, 19 for his great works.

 68:1 [[For the choir director. A Psalm of David. A Song.]] Let God 430 arise 6965, let His enemies 340 be scattered 6327a, And let those who hate 8130 Him flee 5127 before 4480 6440 Him.

 68:2 As smoke 6227 is driven 5086 away 5086, [so] drive 5086 [them] away 5086; As wax 1749 melts 4549 before 4480 6440 the fire 784, [So] let the wicked 7563 perish 6 before 4480 6440 God 430.

 68:3 But let the righteous 6662 be glad 8055; let them exult 5970 before 6440 God 430; Yes, let them rejoice 7797 with gladness 8057.

 68:4 Sing 7891 to God 430, sing 2167 praises 2167 to His name 8034; Lift 5549 up [a song] for Him who rides 7392 through the deserts 6160, Whose name 8034 is the LORD 3050, and exult 5937 before 6440 Him.

 68:5 ¶ A father 1 of the fatherless 3490 and a judge 1781 for the widows 490, Is God 430 in His holy 6944 habitation 4583.

 68:6 God 430 makes 3427 a home 1004 for the lonely 3173; He leads 3318 out the prisoners 615 into prosperity 3574, Only 389 the rebellious 5637 dwell 7931 in a parched 6707 land 6707.

 68:7 ¶ O God 430, when You went 3318 forth 3318 before 6440 Your people 5971a, When You marched 6805 through the wilderness 3452, Selah 5542.

 68:8 The earth 776 quaked 7493; The heavens 8064 also 637 dropped 5197 [rain] at the presence 6440 of God 430; Sinai 5514 itself 2088 [quaked] at the presence 6440 of God 430, the God 430 of Israel 3478.

 68:9 You shed 5130 abroad 5130 a plentiful 5071 rain 1653, O God 430; You confirmed 3559 Your inheritance 5159 when it was parched 3811.

 68:10 Your creatures 2421b settled 3427 in it; You provided 3559 in Your goodness 2899b for the poor 6041, O God 430.

 68:11 ¶ The Lord 136 gives 5414 the command 561; The women who proclaim 1319 the [good] tidings 1319 are a great 7227a host 6635:

 68:12 “Kings 4428 of armies 6635 flee 5074, they flee 5074, And she who 5116b remains 5116b at home 1004 will divide 2505a the spoil 7998!”

 68:13 When 518 you lie 7901 down 7901 among 996 the sheepfolds 8240a, [You are like] the wings 3671 of a dove 3123 covered 2645 with silver 3701, And its pinions 84 with glistening 3422 gold 2742d.

 68:15 ¶ A mountain 2022 of God 430 is the mountain 2022 of Bashan 1316; A mountain 2022 [of many] peaks 1386 is the mountain 2022 of Bashan 1316.

 68:16 Why 4100 do you look 7520 with envy 7520, O mountains 2022 with [many] peaks 1386, At the mountain 2022 which God 430 has desired 2530 for His abode 3427? Surely 637 the LORD 3068 will dwell 7931 [there] forever 5331.

 68:17 The chariots 7393 of God 430 are myriads 7239, thousands 8136 upon thousands 505; The Lord 136 is among them [as at] Sinai 5514, in holiness 6944.

 68:18 You have ascended 5927 on high 4791, You have led 7617 captive 7617 [Your] captives 7628b; You have received 3947 gifts 4979 among men 120, Even [among] the rebellious 5637 also 637, that the LORD 3050 God 430 may dwell 7931 [there].

 68:19 ¶ Blessed 1288 be the Lord 136, who daily 3117 bears 6006 our burden 6006, The God 410 [who] is our salvation 3444. Selah 5542.

 68:20 God 410 is to us a God 410 of deliverances 4190; And to GOD 3068 the Lord 136 belong escapes 8444 from death 4194.

 68:21 Surely 389 God 430 will shatter 4272 the head 7218 of His enemies 340, The hairy 8181 crown 6936 of him who goes 1980 on in his guilty 817 deeds 817.

 68:22 The Lord 136 said 559, “I will bring 7725 [them] back 7725 from Bashan 1316. I will bring 7725 [them] back 7725 from the depths 4688 of the sea 3220;

 68:23 That your foot 7272 may shatter 4272 [them] in blood 1818, The tongue 3956 of your dogs 3611 [may have] its portion 4521 from [your] enemies 340.”

 68:24 ¶ They have seen 7200 Your procession 1979, O God 430, The procession 1979 of my God 410, my King 4428, into the sanctuary 6944.

 68:25 The singers 7891 went 6923 on, the musicians 5059 after 310 [them], In the midst 8432 of the maidens 5959 beating 8608 tambourines 8608.

 68:26 Bless 1288 God 430 in the congregations 4721, [Even] the LORD 3068, [you who are] of the fountain 4726 of Israel 3478.

 68:27 There 8033 is Benjamin 1144, the youngest 6810, ruling 7287a them, The princes 8269 of Judah 3063 [in] their throng 7277, The princes 8269 of Zebulun 2074, the princes 8269 of Naphtali 5321.

 68:28 ¶ Your God 430 has commanded 6680 your strength 5797; Show 5810 Yourself strong 5810, O God 430, who 2098 have acted 6466 on our behalf.

 68:29 Because 4480 of Your temple 1964 at Jerusalem 3389 Kings 4428 will bring 2986 gifts 7862 to You.

 68:30 Rebuke 1605 the beasts 2421b in the reeds 7070, The herd 5712 of bulls 47 with the calves 5695 of the peoples 5971a, Trampling 7511 under foot 7511 the pieces 7518 of silver 3701; He has scattered 967 the peoples 5971a who delight 2654a in war 7128.

 68:31 Envoys 2831 will come 857 out of Egypt 4714; Ethiopia 3568a will quickly 7323 stretch 7323 out her hands 3027 to God 430.

 68:32 ¶ Sing 7891 to God 430, O kingdoms 4467 of the earth 776, Sing 2167 praises 2167 to the Lord 136, Selah 5542.

 68:33 To Him who rides 7392 upon the highest 8064 heavens 8064, which are from ancient 6924a times 6924a; Behold 2005, He speaks 5414 forth 5414 with His voice 6963, a mighty 5797 voice 6963.

 68:34 Ascribe 5414 strength 5797 to God 430; His majesty 1346 is over 5921 Israel 3478 And His strength 5797 is in the skies 7834.

 68:35 O God 430, [You are] awesome 3372a from Your sanctuary 4720. The God 410 of Israel 3478 Himself 1931 gives 5414 strength 5797 and power 8592 to the people 5971a. Blessed 1288 be God 430!
