Psalms 57

1 David in prayer fleeing unto God complaineth of his dangerous case. 7 He encourageth himself to praise God.

 57:1 [[For the choir director; [set to] Al-tashheth. A Mikhtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave.]] Be gracious 2603a to me, O God 430, be gracious 2603a to me, For my soul 5315 takes 2620 refuge 2620 in You; And in the shadow 6738 of Your wings 3671 I will take 2620 refuge 2620 Until 5704 destruction 1942 passes 5674a by.

 57:2 I will cry 7121 to God 430 Most 5945b High 5945b, To God 410 who accomplishes 1584 [all things] for me.

 57:3 He will send 7971 from heaven 8064 and save 3467 me; He reproaches 2778a him who tramples 7602b upon me. Selah 5542. God 430 will send 7971 forth His lovingkindness 2617a and His truth 571.

 57:4 ¶ My soul 5315 is among 8432 lions 3833a; I must lie 7901 among those who breathe 3857 forth 3857 fire 3857, [Even] the sons 1121 of men 120, whose teeth 8127 are spears 2595 and arrows 2671 And their tongue 3956 a sharp 2299 sword 2719.

 57:5 Be exalted 7311 above 5921 the heavens 8064, O God 430; [Let] Your glory 3519b [be] above 5921 all 3605 the earth 776.

 57:6 They have prepared 3559 a net 7568 for my steps 6471; My soul 5315 is bowed 3721 down 3721; They dug 3738a a pit 7882 before 6440 me; They [themselves] have fallen 5307 into the midst 8432 of it. Selah 5542.

 57:7 ¶ My heart 3820 is steadfast 3559, O God 430, my heart 3820 is steadfast 3559; I will sing 7891, yes, I will sing 2167 praises 2167!

 57:8 Awake 5782, my glory 3519b! Awake 5782, harp 5035b and lyre 3658! I will awaken 5782 the dawn 7837.

 57:9 I will give 3034 thanks 3034 to You, O Lord 136, among the peoples 5971a; I will sing 2167 praises 2167 to You among the nations 3816.

 57:10 For Your lovingkindness 2617a is great 1419 to the heavens 8064 And Your truth 571 to the clouds 7834.
