Psalms 108

1 David encourageth himself to praise God. 5 He prayeth for God's assistance according to his promise. 11 His confidence in God's help.

 108:1 [[A Song, a Psalm of David.]] My heart 3820 is steadfast 3559, O God 430; I will sing 7891, I will sing 2167 praises 2167, even 637 with my soul 3519b.

 108:2 Awake 5782, harp 5035b and lyre 3658; I will awaken 5782 the dawn 7837!

 108:3 I will give 3034 thanks 3034 to You, O LORD 3068, among the peoples 5971a, And I will sing 2167 praises 2167 to You among the nations 3816.

 108:4 For Your lovingkindness 2617a is great 1419 above 4480 5921 the heavens 8064, And Your truth 571 [reaches] to the skies 7834.

 108:5 Be exalted 7311, O God 430, above 5921 the heavens 8064, And Your glory 3519b above 5921 all 3605 the earth 776.

 108:6 That Your beloved 3039 may be delivered 2502a, Save 3467 with Your right 3225 hand 3225, and answer 6030a me!

 108:7 ¶ God 430 has spoken 1696 in His holiness 6944: “I will exult 5937, I will portion 2505a out Shechem 7927 And measure 4058 out the valley 6010 of Succoth 5523.

 108:8 “Gilead 1568 is Mine, Manasseh 4519 is Mine; Ephraim 669 also is the helmet 4581 of My head 7218; Judah 3063 is My scepter 2710.

 108:9 “Moab 4124 is My washbowl 7366; Over 5921 Edom 112b I shall throw 7993 My shoe 5275; Over 5921 Philistia 6429 I will shout 7321 aloud 7321.”

 108:10 ¶ Who 4310 will bring 2986 me into the besieged 4013 city 5892b? Who 4310 will lead 5148 me to Edom 112b?

 108:11 Have not You Yourself, O God 430, rejected 2186a us? And will You not go 3318 forth 3318 with our armies 6635, O God 430?

 108:12 Oh give 3051 us help 5833 against 4480 the adversary 6862c, For deliverance 8668 by man 120 is in vain 7723.

 108:13 Through God 430 we will do 6213a valiantly 2428, And it is He who shall tread 947 down 947 our adversaries 6862c.
