Psalms 62

1 David, professing his confidence in God, discourageth his enemies. 5 In the same confidence he encourageth the godly. 9 No trust is to be put in worldly things. 11 Power and mercy belong to God.

 62:1 [[For the choir director; according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.]] My soul 5315 [waits] in silence 1747 for God 430 only 389; From Him is my salvation 3444.

 62:2 He only 389 is my rock 6697 and my salvation 3444, My stronghold 4869; I shall not be greatly 7227a shaken 4131.

 62:3 ¶ How 575 long 5704 will you assail 1956a a man 376, That you may murder 7523 [him], all 3605 of you, Like a leaning 5186 wall 1447, like a tottering 1760 fence 1447?

 62:4 They have counseled 3289 only 389 to thrust 5080 him down 5080 from his high 7613 position 7613; They delight 7521 in falsehood 3577; They bless 1288 with their mouth 6310, But inwardly 7130 they curse 7043. Selah 5542.

 62:5 ¶ My soul 5315, wait 1826a in silence 1826a for God 430 only 389, For my hope 8615b is from Him.

 62:6 He only 389 is my rock 6697 and my salvation 3444, My stronghold 4869; I shall not be shaken 4131.

 62:7 On God 430 my salvation 3468 and my glory 3519b [rest]; The rock 6697 of my strength 5797, my refuge 4268 is in God 430.

 62:8 Trust 982 in Him at all 3605 times 6256, O people 5971a; Pour 8210 out your heart 3824 before 6440 Him; God 430 is a refuge 4268 for us. Selah 5542.

 62:9 ¶ Men 1121 120 of low 1121 120 degree 1121 120 are only 389 vanity 1892 and men 1121 376 of rank 376 are a lie 3577; In the balances 3976 they go 5927 up; They are together 3162 lighter than 4480 breath 1892.

 62:10 Do not trust 982 in oppression 6233 And do not vainly 1891 hope 1891 in robbery 1498; If 3588 riches 2428 increase 5107, do not set 7896 [your] heart 3820 [upon them].

 62:11 ¶ Once 259 God 430 has spoken 1696; Twice 8147 I have heard 8085 this 2098: That power 5797 belongs to God 430;

 62:12 And lovingkindness 2617a is Yours, O Lord 136, For You recompense 7999a a man 376 according to his work 4639.
