וַיַּשִּׂגֵם וַיְדַבֵּר אֲלֵהֶם אֶת־הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה

וַיְמַהֲרוּ וַיּוֹרִדוּ אִישׁ אֶת־אַמְתַּחְתּוֹ אָרְצָה וַיִּפְתְּחוּ אִישׁ אַמְתַּחְתּוֹ

וַיֹּאמֶר לָהֶם יוֹסֵף מָה־הַמַּעֲשֶׂה הַזֶּה אֲשֶׁר עֲשִׂיתֶם הֲלוֹא יְדַעְתֶּם כִּי־נַחֵשׁ יְנַחֵשׁ אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר כָּמֹנִי

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוּדָה מַה־נֹּאמַר לַאדֹנִי מַה־נְּדַבֵּר וּמַה־נִּצְטַדָּק הָאֱלֹהִים מָצָא אֶת־עֲוֹן עֲבָדֶיךָ הִנֶּנּוּ עֲבָדִים לַאדֹנִי גַּם־אֲנַחְנוּ גַּם אֲשֶׁר־נִמְצָא הַגָּבִיעַ בְּיָדוֹ

 44:16 And Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה 3063 said, 559 z8799 What x4100 shall we say 559 z8799 unto my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן? 113 what x4100 shall we speak? 1696 z8762 or how x4100 shall we clear ourselves? 6663 z8691 ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 hath found out 4672 z8804 x853 the iniquity 5771 of thy servants: 5650 behold, x2009 we [are] my ´áđôn's אֲדוֹן 113 servants, 5650 both x1571 we, x587 and [he] also 1571 with whom 834 3027 the cup 1375 is found. 4672 z8738

 44:17 And he said, 559 z8799 God forbid 2486 that I should do 6213 z8800 x4480 so: 2063 [but] the man 376 in whose x834 hand 3027 the cup 1375 is found, 4672 z8738 he x1931 shall be x1961 my servant; 5650 and as for you, x859 get you up 5927 z8798 in peace 7965 unto x413 your father. 1

וַיִּגַּשׁ אֵלָיו יְהוּדָה וַיֹּאמֶר בִּי אֲדֹנִי יְדַבֶּר־נָא עַבְדְּךָ דָבָר בְּאָזְנֵי אֲדֹנִי וְאַל־יִחַר אַפְּךָ בְּעַבְדֶּךָ כִּי כָמוֹךָ כְּפַרְעֹה

 44:18 ¶ Then Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה 3063 came near 5066 z8799 unto him, x413 and said, 559 z8799 Oh 994 my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן, 113 let thy servant, 5650 I pray thee, x4994 speak 1696 z8762 a word 1697 in my ´áđôn's אֲדוֹן 113 ears, 241 and let not x408 thine anger 639 burn 2734 z8799 against thy servant: 5650 for x3588 thou [art] even as x3644 Par`ò פַּרעֹה. 6547

אֲדֹנִי שָׁאַל אֶת־עֲבָדָיו לֵאמֹר הֲיֵשׁ־לָכֶם אָב אוֹ־אָח

וַנֹּאמֶר אֶל־אֲדֹנִי יֶשׁ־לָנוּ אָב זָקֵן וְיֶלֶד זְקֻנִים קָטָן וְאָחִיו מֵת וַיִּוָּתֵר הוּא לְבַדּוֹ לְאִמּוֹ וְאָבִיו אֲהֵבוֹ

 44:20 And we said 559 z8799 unto x413 my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן, 113 We have 3426 a father, 1 an old man, 2205 and a child 3206 of his old age, 2208 a little one; 6996 and his brother 251 is dead, 4191 z8804 and he x1931 alone x905 is left 3498 z8735 of his mother, 517 and his father 1 loveth 157 z8804 him.

וַתֹּאמֶר אֶל־עֲבָדֶיךָ הוֹרִדֻהוּ אֵלָי וְאָשִׂימָה עֵינִי עָלָיו

 44:21 And thou saidst 559 z8799 unto x413 thy servants, 5650 Bring him down 3381 z8685 unto x413 me, that I may set 7760 z8799 mine eyes 5869 upon x5921 him.

וַנֹּאמֶר אֶל־אֲדֹנִי לֹא־יוּכַל הַנַּעַר לַעֲזֹב אֶת־אָבִיו וְעָזַב אֶת־אָבִיו וָמֵת

 44:22 waNomer el-ádoniy lo-yûkhal haNaar laázov et-äviyw w'äzav et-äviyw wämët

 44:22 And we said 559 z8799 unto x413 my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן, 113 The lad 5288 cannot 3201 z8799 x3808 leave 5800 z8800 x853 his father: 1 for [if] he should leave 5800 z8804 x853 his father, 1 [his father] would die. 4191 z8804

וַתֹּאמֶר אֶל־עֲבָדֶיךָ אִם־לֹא יֵרֵד אֲחִיכֶם הַקָּטֹן אִתְּכֶם לֹא תֹסִפוּן לִרְאוֹת פָּנָי

וַיְהִי כִּי עָלִינוּ אֶל־עַבְדְּךָ אָבִי וַנַּגֶּד־לוֹ אֵת דִּבְרֵי אֲדֹנִי

 44:24 way'hiy Kiy äliynû el-av'D'khä äviy waNaGed-lô ët Div'rëy ádoniy

 44:24 And it came to pass x1961 when x3588 we came up 5927 z8804 unto x413 thy servant 5650 my father, 1 we told 5046 z8686 him x853 the words 1697 of my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן. 113

וַיֹּאמֶר אָבִינוּ שֻׁבוּ שִׁבְרוּ־לָנוּ מְעַט־אֹכֶל

 44:25 waYomer äviynû shuvû shiv'rû-länû m'aţ-okhel

 44:25 And our father 1 said, 559 z8799 Go again, 7725 z8798 [and] buy 7666 z8798 us a little 4592 food. 400

וַנֹּאמֶר לֹא נוּכַל לָרֶדֶת אִם־יֵשׁ אָחִינוּ הַקָּטֹן אִתָּנוּ וְיָרַדְנוּ כִּי־לֹא נוּכַל לִרְאוֹת פְּנֵי הָאִישׁ וְאָחִינוּ הַקָּטֹן אֵינֶנּוּ אִתָּנוּ

 44:26 waNomer lo nûkhal läredet im-yësh ächiynû haQäţon iTänû w'yärad'nû Kiy-lo nûkhal lir'ôt P'nëy häiysh w'ächiynû haQäţon ëyneNû iTänû

 44:26 And we said, 559 z8799 We cannot 3201 z8799 x3808 go down: 3381 z8800 if x518 our youngest 6996 brother 251 be 3426 with x854 us, then will we go down: 3381 z8804 for x3588 we may 3201 z8799 not x3808 see 7200 z8800 the man's 376 face, 6440 except 369 our youngest 6996 brother 251 [be] with x854 us.

וַיֹּאמֶר עַבְדְּךָ אָבִי אֵלֵינוּ אַתֶּם יְדַעְתֶּם כִּי שְׁנַיִם יָלְדָה־לִּי אִשְׁתִּי

 44:27 And thy servant 5650 my father 1 said 559 z8799 unto x413 us, Ye x859 know 3045 z8804 that x3588 my wife 802 bare 3205 z8804 me two 8147 [sons]:

וַיֵּצֵא הָאֶחָד מֵאִתִּי וָאֹמַר אַךְ טָרֹף טֹרָף וְלֹא רְאִיתִיו עַד־הֵנָּה

וּלְקַחְתֶּם גַּם־אֶת־זֶה מֵעִם פָּנַי וְקָרָהוּ אָסוֹן וְהוֹרַדְתֶּם אֶת־שֵׂיבָתִי בְּרָעָה שְׁאֹלָה

 44:29 ûl'qach'Tem Gam-et-zeh mëim Pänay w'qärähû äšôn w'hôrad'Tem et-sëyvätiy B'rääh sh'oläh

וְעַתָּה כְּבֹאִי אֶל־עַבְדְּךָ אָבִי וְהַנַּעַר אֵינֶנּוּ אִתָּנוּ וְנַפְשׁוֹ קְשׁוּרָה בְנַפְשׁוֹ

וְהָיָה כִּרְאוֹתוֹ כִּי־אֵין הַנַּעַר וָמֵת וְהוֹרִידוּ עֲבָדֶיךָ אֶת־שֵׂיבַת עַבְדְּךָ אָבִינוּ בְּיָגוֹן שְׁאֹלָה

 44:31 w'häyäh Kir'ôtô Kiy-ëyn haNaar wämët w'hôriydû ávädeykhä et-sëyvat av'D'khä äviynû B'yägôn sh'oläh

 44:31 It shall come to pass, x1961 when he seeth 7200 z8800 that x3588 the lad 5288 [is] not x369 [with us], that he will die: 4191 z8804 and thy servants 5650 shall bring down 3381 z8689 x853 the gray hairs 7872 of thy servant 5650 our father 1 with sorrow 3015 to the grave. 7585

כִּי עַבְדְּךָ עָרַב אֶת־הַנַּעַר מֵעִם אָבִי לֵאמֹר אִם־לֹא אֲבִיאֶנּוּ אֵלֶיךָ וְחָטָאתִי לְאָבִי כָּל־הַיָּמִים
