 12:1 waYomer y'hwäh el-av'räm lekh'-l'khä mëar'tz'khä ûmiMôlad'T'khä ûmiBëyt äviykhä el-hääretz ásher ar'eKä

 12:1 ¶ Now Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 had said 559 z8799 unto x413 ´Avräm אַברָם, 87 Get thee out y3212 z8798 x1980 of thy country, 776 x4480 and from thy kindred, 4138 x4480 and from thy father's y1 house, 1004 x4480 x1 unto x413 a land 776 that x834 I will shew 7200 z8686 thee:

וְאֶעֶשְׂךָ לְגוֹי גָּדוֹל וַאֲבָרֶכְךָ וַאֲגַדְּלָה שְׁמֶךָ וֶהְיֵה בְּרָכָה

 12:2 w'ees'khä l'gôy Gädôl waávärekh'khä waágaD'läh sh'mekhä weh'yëh B'räkhäh

 12:2 And I will make x6213 of thee y6213 z8799 a great 1419 nation, 1471 and I will bless 1288 z8762 thee, and make y1431 z0 thy name y8034 great; 1431 z8762 x8034 and thou shalt be x1961 a blessing: 1293

וַאֲבָרֲכָה מְבָרְכֶיךָ וּמְקַלֶּלְךָ אָאֹר וְנִבְרְכוּ בְךָ כֹּל מִשְׁפְּחֹת הָאֲדָמָה

 12:3 waávärákhäh m'vär'kheykhä ûm'qaLel'khä äor w'niv'r'khû v'khä Kol mish'P'chot häádämäh

 12:3 And I will bless 1288 z8762 them that bless 1288 z8764 thee, and curse 779 z8799 him that curseth 7043 z8764 thee: and in thee shall all x3605 families 4940 of the earth 127 be blessed. 1288 z8738

וַיֵּלֶךְ אַבְרָם כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר אֵלָיו יְהוָה וַיֵּלֶךְ אִתּוֹ לוֹט וְאַבְרָם בֶּן־חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וְשִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה בְּצֵאתוֹ מֵחָרָן

 12:6 ¶ And ´Avräm אַברָם 87 passed through 5674 z8799 the land 776 unto x5704 the place 4725 of Šæȼem שְׁכֶם, 7927 unto x5704 the plain 436 of Môrè מוֹרֶה. 4176 And the Cæna`ánî כְּנַעֲנִי 3669 [was] then 227 in the land. 776

וַיֵּרָא יְהוָה אֶל־אַבְרָם וַיֹּאמֶר לְזַרְעֲךָ אֶתֵּן אֶת־הָאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת וַיִּבֶן שָׁם מִזְבֵּחַ לַיהוָה הַנִּרְאֶה אֵלָיו

 12:7 And Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 appeared 7200 z8735 unto x413 ´Avräm אַברָם, 87 and said, 559 z8799 Unto thy seed 2233 will I give 5414 z8799 x853 this 2063 land: 776 and there x8033 builded 1129 z8799 he an altar 4196 unto Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 who appeared 7200 z8737 unto x413 him.

וַיַּעְתֵּק מִשָּׁם הָהָרָה מִקֶּדֶם לְבֵית־אֵל וַיֵּט אָהֳלֹה בֵּית־אֵל מִיָּם וְהָעַי מִקֶּדֶם וַיִּבֶן־שָׁם מִזְבֵּחַ לַיהוָה וַיִּקְרָא בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה

וַיְהִי רָעָב בָּאָרֶץ וַיֵּרֶד אַבְרָם מִצְרַיְמָה לָגוּר שָׁם כִּי־כָבֵד הָרָעָב בָּאָרֶץ

וְהָיָה כִּי־יִרְאוּ אֹתָךְ הַמִּצְרִים וְאָמְרוּ אִשְׁתּוֹ זֹאת וְהָרְגוּ אֹתִי וְאֹתָךְ יְחַיּוּ

 12:12 Therefore it shall come to pass, x1961 when x3588 the Mixrîm מִצרִים 4713 shall see 7200 z8799 thee, that they shall say, 559 z8804 This x2063 [is] his wife: 802 and they will kill 2026 z8804 me, but they will save thee alive. 2421 z8762

אִמְרִי־נָא אֲחֹתִי אָתְּ לְמַעַן יִיטַב־לִי בַעֲבוּרֵךְ וְחָיְתָה נַפְשִׁי בִּגְלָלֵךְ

 12:13 Say, 559 z8798 I pray thee, 4994 thou x859 [art] my sister: 269 that 4616 it may be well 3190 z8799 with me for thy sake; x5668 and my soul 5315 shall live 2421 z8804 because of x1558 thee. y1558

וַיְהִי כְּבוֹא אַבְרָם מִצְרָיְמָה וַיִּרְאוּ הַמִּצְרִים אֶת־הָאִשָּׁה כִּי־יָפָה הִוא מְאֹד

 12:14 ¶ And it came to pass, x1961 that, when ´Avräm אַברָם 87 was come 935 z8800 into Mixrayim מִצרַיִם, 4714 the Mixrîm מִצרִים 4713 beheld 7200 z8799 x853 the woman 802 that x3588 she x1931 [was] very 3966 fair. 3303

וַיִּרְאוּ אֹתָהּ שָׂרֵי פַרְעֹה וַיְהַלְלוּ אֹתָהּ אֶל־פַּרְעֹה וַתֻּקַּח הָאִשָּׁה בֵּית פַּרְעֹה

וּלְאַבְרָם הֵיטִיב בַּעֲבוּרָהּ וַיְהִי־לוֹ צֹאן־וּבָקָר וַחֲמֹרִים וַעֲבָדִים וּשְׁפָחֹת וַאֲתֹנֹת וּגְמַלִּים

 12:16 And he entreated y3190 z0 ´Avräm אַברָם y87 well 3190 z8689 x87 for her sake: x5668 and he had x1961 sheep, 6629 and oxen, 1241 and he asses, 2543 and menservants, 5650 and maidservants, 8198 and she asses, 860 and camels. 1581

וַיְנַגַּע יְהוָה אֶת־פַּרְעֹה נְגָעִים גְּדֹלִים וְאֶת־בֵּיתוֹ עַל־דְּבַר שָׂרַי אֵשֶׁת אַבְרָם

וַיִּקְרָא פַרְעֹה לְאַבְרָם וַיֹּאמֶר מַה־זֹּאת עָשִׂיתָ לִּי לָמָּה לֹא־הִגַּדְתָּ לִּי כִּי אִשְׁתְּךָ הִוא

 12:18 And Par`ò פַּרעֹה 6547 called 7121 z8799 ´Avräm אַברָם, 87 and said, 559 z8799 What x4100 [is] this x2063 [that] thou hast done 6213 z8804 unto me? why x4100 didst thou not x3808 tell 5046 z8689 me that x3588 she x1931 [was] thy wife? 802

לָמָה אָמַרְתָּ אֲחֹתִי הִוא וָאֶקַּח אֹתָהּ לִי לְאִשָּׁה וְעַתָּה הִנֵּה אִשְׁתְּךָ קַח וָלֵךְ

וַיְצַו עָלָיו פַּרְעֹה אֲנָשִׁים וַיְשַׁלְּחוּ אֹתוֹ וְאֶת־אִשְׁתּוֹ וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ
