וַיִּשָּׂא יַעֲקֹב עֵינָיו וַיַּרְא וְהִנֵּה עֵשָׂו בָּא וְעִמּוֹ אַרְבַּע מֵאוֹת אִישׁ וַיַּחַץ אֶת־הַיְלָדִים עַל־לֵאָה וְעַל־רָחֵל וְעַל שְׁתֵּי הַשְּׁפָחוֹת

 33:1 waYiSä yaáqov ëynäyw waYar' w'hiNëh ësäw Bä w'iMô ar'Ba mëôt iysh waYachatz et-hay'lädiym al-lëäh w'al-rächël w'al sh'Tëy haSH'fächôt

 33:1 ¶ And Ya`áköv יַעֲקֹב 3290 lifted up 5375 z8799 his eyes, 5869 and looked, 7200 z8799 and, behold, x2009 `Ëŝäw עֵשָׂו 6215 came, 935 z8802 and with x5973 him four 702 hundred 3967 men. 376 And he divided 2673 z8799 x853 the children 3206 unto x5921 Lë´à לֵאָה, 3812 and unto x5921 Räçël רָחֵל, 7354 and unto x5921 the two 8147 handmaids. 8198

וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־הַשְּׁפָחוֹת וְאֶת־יַלְדֵיהֶן רִאשֹׁנָה וְאֶת־לֵאָה וִילָדֶיהָ אַחֲרֹנִים וְאֶת־רָחֵל וְאֶת־יוֹסֵף אַחֲרֹנִים

 33:2 waYäsem et-haSH'fächôt w'et-yal'dëyhen rishonäh w'et-lëäh wiylädeyhä achároniym w'et-rächël w'et-yôšëf achároniym

 33:2 And he put 7760 z8799 x853 the handmaids 8198 and their children 3206 foremost, 7223 and Lë´à לֵאָה 3812 and her children 3206 after, 314 and Räçël רָחֵל 7354 and Yôsëf יוֹסֵף 3130 hindermost. 314

וְהוּא עָבַר לִפְנֵיהֶם וַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ אַרְצָה שֶׁבַע פְּעָמִים עַד־גִּשְׁתּוֹ עַד־אָחִיו

 33:3 w'hû ävar lif'nëyhem waYish'Tachû ar'tzäh sheva P'ämiym ad-Gish'Tô ad-ächiyw

 33:3 And he x1931 passed over 5674 z8804 before x6440 them, y6440 and bowed himself 7812 z8691 to the ground 776 seven 7651 times, 6471 until x5704 he came near 5066 z8800 to x5704 his brother. 251

וַיָּרָץ עֵשָׂו לִקְרָאתוֹ וַיְחַבְּקֵהוּ וַיִּפֹּל עַל־צַוָּארָו וַיִּשָּׁקֵהוּ וַיִּבְכּוּ

 33:4 waYärätz ësäw liq'rätô way'chaB'qëhû waYiPol al-tzaûäräw waYiSHäqëhû waYiv'Kû

 33:4 And `Ëŝäw עֵשָׂו 6215 ran 7323 z8799 to meet x7125 him, y7125 z8800 and embraced 2263 z8762 him, and fell 5307 z8799 on x5921 his neck, 6677 and kissed x5401 him: y5401 z8799 and they wept. 1058 z8799

וַיִּשָּׂא אֶת־עֵינָיו וַיַּרְא אֶת־הַנָּשִׁים וְאֶת־הַיְלָדִים וַיֹּאמֶר מִי־אֵלֶּה לָּךְ וַיֹּאמַר הַיְלָדִים אֲשֶׁר־חָנַן אֱלֹהִים אֶת־עַבְדֶּךָ

 33:5 waYiSä et-ëynäyw waYar' et-haNäshiym w'et-hay'lädiym waYomer miy-ëLeh Läkh' waYomar hay'lädiym ásher-chänan élohiym et-av'Dekhä

 33:5 And he lifted up 5375 z8799 x853 his eyes, 5869 and saw 7200 z8799 x853 the women 802 and the children; 3206 and said, 559 z8799 Who x4310 [are] those 428 with thee? And he said, 559 z8799 The children 3206 which x834 ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 hath graciously given 2603 z8804 x853 thy servant. 5650

וַתִּגַּשְׁןָ הַשְּׁפָחוֹת הֵנָּה וְיַלְדֵיהֶן וַתִּשְׁתַּחֲוֶיןָ

 33:6 waTiGash'nä haSH'fächôt hëNäh w'yal'dëyhen waTish'Tacháweynä

 33:6 Then the handmaidens 8198 came near, 5066 z8799 they x2007 and their children, 3206 and they bowed themselves. 7812 z8691

וַתִּגַּשׁ גַּם־לֵאָה וִילָדֶיהָ וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּ וְאַחַר נִגַּשׁ יוֹסֵף וְרָחֵל וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּ

 33:7 waTiGash Gam-lëäh wiylädeyhä waYish'Tacháwû w'achar niGash yôšëf w'rächël waYish'Tacháwû

 33:7 And Lë´à לֵאָה 3812 also x1571 with her children 3206 came near, 5066 z8799 and bowed themselves: 7812 z8691 and after 310 came y5066 z0 Yôsëf יוֹסֵף y3130 near 5066 z8738 x3130 and Räçël רָחֵל, 7354 and they bowed y7812 z8691 themselves. x7812

וַיֹּאמֶר מִי לְךָ כָּל־הַמַּחֲנֶה הַזֶּה אֲשֶׁר פָּגָשְׁתִּי וַיֹּאמֶר לִמְצֹא־חֵן בְּעֵינֵי אֲדֹנִי

 33:8 waYomer miy l'khä Käl-haMacháneh haZeh ásher Pägäsh'Tiy waYomer lim'tzo-chën B'ëynëy ádoniy

 33:8 And he said, 559 z8799 What x4310 [meanest] thou by all x3605 this x2088 drove 4264 which x834 I met? 6298 z8804 And he said, 559 z8799 [These are] to find 4672 z8800 grace 2580 in the sight 5869 of my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן. 113

וַיֹּאמֶר עֵשָׂו יֶשׁ־לִי רָב אָחִי יְהִי לְךָ אֲשֶׁר־לָךְ

 33:9 waYomer ësäw yesh-liy räv ächiy y'hiy l'khä ásher-läkh'

 33:9 And `Ëŝäw עֵשָׂו 6215 said, 559 z8799 I have 3426 enough, 7227 my brother; 251 keep x1961 that x834 thou hast unto thyself.

וַיֹּאמֶר יַעֲקֹב אַל־נָא אִם־נָא מָצָאתִי חֵן בְּעֵינֶיךָ וְלָקַחְתָּ מִנְחָתִי מִיָּדִי כִּי עַל־כֵּן רָאִיתִי פָנֶיךָ כִּרְאֹת פְּנֵי אֱלֹהִים וַתִּרְצֵנִי

 33:10 waYomer yaáqov al-nä im-nä mätzätiy chën B'ëyneykhä w'läqach'Tä min'chätiy miYädiy Kiy al-Kën räiytiy fäneykhä Kir'ot P'nëy élohiym waTir'tzëniy

 33:10 And Ya`áköv יַעֲקֹב 3290 said, 559 z8799 Nay, x408 I pray thee, x4994 if x518 now x4994 I have found 4672 z8804 grace 2580 in thy sight, 5869 then receive 3947 z8804 my present 4503 at my hand: 3027 x4480 for x3588 therefore x5921 x3651 I have seen 7200 z8804 thy face, 6440 as though I had seen 7200 z8800 the face 6440 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים, 430 and thou wast pleased x7521 with me. y7521 z8799

קַח־נָא אֶת־בִּרְכָתִי אֲשֶׁר הֻבָאת לָךְ כִּי־חַנַּנִי אֱלֹהִים וְכִי יֶשׁ־לִי־כֹל וַיִּפְצַר־בּוֹ וַיִּקָּח

 33:11 qach-nä et-Bir'khätiy ásher huvät läkh' Kiy-chaNaniy élohiym w'khiy yesh-liy-khol waYif'tzar-Bô waYiQäch

 33:11 Take, 3947 z8798 I pray thee, x4994 x853 my blessing 1293 that x834 is brought 935 z8717 to thee; because x3588 ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 hath dealt graciously x2603 with me, y2603 z8804 and because y3605 z0 x3588 I have 3426 enough. 3605 And he urged 6484 z8799 him, and he took 3947 z8799 [it].

וַיֹּאמֶר נִסְעָה וְנֵלֵכָה וְאֵלְכָה לְנֶגְדֶּךָ

 33:12 waYomer niš'äh w'nëlëkhäh w'ël'khäh l'neg'Dekhä

 33:12 And he said, 559 z8799 Let us take our journey, 5265 z8799 and let us go, y3212 z8799 x1980 and I will go y3212 z8799 x1980 before x5048 thee.

וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו אֲדֹנִי יֹדֵעַ כִּי־הַיְלָדִים רַכִּים וְהַצֹּאן וְהַבָּקָר עָלוֹת עָלָי וּדְפָקוּם יוֹם אֶחָד וָמֵתוּ כָּל־הַצֹּאן

 33:13 waYomer ëläyw ádoniy yodëª Kiy-hay'lädiym raKiym w'haTZon w'haBäqär älôt äläy ûd'fäqûm yôm echäd wämëtû Käl-haTZon

 33:13 And he said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, My ´áđôn אֲדוֹן 113 knoweth 3045 z8802 that x3588 the children 3206 [are] tender, 7390 and the flocks 6629 and herds 1241 with young 5763 z8802 [are] with x5921 me: and if men should overdrive 1849 z8804 them one 259 day, 3117 all x3605 the flock 6629 will die. 4191 z8804

יַעֲבָר־נָא אֲדֹנִי לִפְנֵי עַבְדּוֹ וַאֲנִי אֶתְנָהֲלָה לְאִטִּי לְרֶגֶל הַמְּלָאכָה אֲשֶׁר־לְפָנַי וּלְרֶגֶל הַיְלָדִים עַד אֲשֶׁר־אָבֹא אֶל־אֲדֹנִי שֵׂעִירָה

 33:14 yaávär-nä ádoniy lif'nëy av'Dô waániy et'näháläh l'iŢiy l'regel haM'läkhäh ásher-l'fänay ûl'regel hay'lädiym ad ásher-ävo el-ádoniy sëiyräh

 33:14 Let my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן, 113 I pray thee, x4994 pass over 5674 z8799 before 6440 his servant: 5650 and I x589 will lead on 5095 z8691 softly, 328 according as 7272 the cattle 4399 that x834 goeth before x6440 me y6440 and the children 3206 be able to endure, 7272 until x5704 x834 I come 935 z8799 unto x413 my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן 113 unto Ŝë`îr שֵׂעִיר. 8165

וַיֹּאמֶר עֵשָׂו אַצִּיגָה־נָּא עִמְּךָ מִן־הָעָם אֲשֶׁר אִתִּי וַיֹּאמֶר לָמָּה זֶּה אֶמְצָא־חֵן בְּעֵינֵי אֲדֹנִי

 33:15 waYomer ësäw aTZiygäh-Nä iM'khä min-hääm ásher iTiy waYomer läMäh Zeh em'tzä-chën B'ëynëy ádoniy

 33:15 And `Ëŝäw עֵשָׂו 6215 said, 559 z8799 Let me now x4994 leave 3322 z8686 with x5973 thee [some] of x4480 the folk 5971 that x834 [are] with x854 me. And he said, 559 z8799 What 4100 needeth it? x2088 let me find 4672 z8799 grace 2580 in the sight 5869 of my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן. 113

וַיָּשָׁב בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא עֵשָׂו לְדַרְכּוֹ שֵׂעִירָה

 33:16 waYäshäv BaYôm hahû ësäw l'dar'Kô sëiyräh

 33:16 ¶ So `Ëŝäw עֵשָׂו 6215 returned 7725 z8799 that x1931 day 3117 on his way 1870 unto Ŝë`îr שֵׂעִיר. 8165

וְיַעֲקֹב נָסַע סֻכֹּתָה וַיִּבֶן לוֹ בָּיִת וּלְמִקְנֵהוּ עָשָׂה סֻכֹּת עַל־כֵּן קָרָא שֵׁם־הַמָּקוֹם סֻכּוֹת ס

 33:17 w'yaáqov näša šuKotäh waYiven lô Bäyit ûl'miq'nëhû äsäh šuKot al-Kën qärä shëm-haMäqôm šuKôt š

 33:17 And Ya`áköv יַעֲקֹב 3290 journeyed 5265 z8804 to Succôŧ סֻכּוֹת, 5523 and built 1129 z8799 him an house, 1004 and made 6213 z8804 booths 5521 for his cattle: 4735 therefore x5921 x3651 the name 8034 of the place 4725 is called 7121 z8804 Succôŧ סֻכּוֹת. 5523

וַיָּבֹא יַעֲקֹב שָׁלֵם עִיר שְׁכֶם אֲשֶׁר בְּאֶרֶץ כְּנַעַן בְּבֹאוֹ מִפַּדַּן אֲרָם וַיִּחַן אֶת־פְּנֵי הָעִיר

 33:18 waYävo yaáqov shälëm iyr sh'khem ásher B'eretz K'naan B'voô miPaDan áräm waYichan et-P'nëy häiyr

 33:18 ¶ And Ya`áköv יַעֲקֹב 3290 came 935 z8799 to Šälëm שָׁלֵם, y8004 x8003 a city 5892 of Šæȼem שְׁכֶם, 7927 which x834 [is] in the land 776 of Cænä`an כְּנָעַן, 3667 when he came 935 z8800 from Paddan ´Áräm פַּדַּן־אֲרָם; 6307 x4480 and pitched his tent 2583 z8799 x853 before 6440 the city. 5892

וַיִּקֶן אֶת־חֶלְקַת הַשָּׂדֶה אֲשֶׁר נָטָה־שָׁם אָהֳלוֹ מִיַּד בְּנֵי־חֲמוֹר אֲבִי שְׁכֶם בְּמֵאָה קְשִׂיטָה

 33:19 waYiqen et-chel'qat haSädeh ásher näţäh-shäm ähólô miYad B'nëy-chámôr áviy sh'khem B'mëäh q'siyţäh

 33:19 And he bought 7069 z8799 x853 a parcel 2513 of a field, 7704 where x834 x8033 he had spread 5186 z8804 his tent, 168 at the hand 3027 x4480 of the children 1121 of Çámôr חֲמוֹר, 2544 Šæȼem's שְׁכֶם y7927 x7928 father, 1 for an hundred 3967 pieces of money. 7192

וַיַּצֶּב־שָׁם מִזְבֵּחַ וַיִּקְרָא־לוֹ אֵל אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל ס

 33:20 waYaTZev-shäm miz'Bëªch waYiq'rä-lô ël élohëy yis'räël š

 33:20 And he erected 5324 z8686 there x8033 an altar, 4196 and called x7121 it y7121 z8799 ´Élöhê אֱלֹהֵי-Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל. 415
