וְאֵל שַׁדַּי יְבָרֵךְ אֹתְךָ וְיַפְרְךָ וְיַרְבֶּךָ וְהָיִיתָ לִקְהַל עַמִּים

וְיִתֶּן־לְךָ אֶת־בִּרְכַּת אַבְרָהָם לְךָ וּלְזַרְעֲךָ אִתָּךְ לְרִשְׁתְּךָ אֶת־אֶרֶץ מְגֻרֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר־נָתַן אֱלֹהִים לְאַבְרָהָם

וַיֵּצֵא יַעֲקֹב מִבְּאֵר שָׁבַע וַיֵּלֶךְ חָרָנָה

 28:10 ¶ And Ya`áköv יַעֲקֹב 3290 went out 3318 z8799 from Bæ´ër Ševa` בְּאֵר־שֶׁבַע, 884 x4480 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 toward Çärän חָרָן. 2771

וַיִּפְגַּע בַּמָּקוֹם וַיָּלֶן שָׁם כִּי־בָא הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ וַיִּקַּח מֵאַבְנֵי הַמָּקוֹם וַיָּשֶׂם מְרַאֲשֹׁתָיו וַיִּשְׁכַּב בַּמָּקוֹם הַהוּא

וַיַּחֲלֹם וְהִנֵּה סֻלָּם מֻצָּב אַרְצָה וְרֹאשׁוֹ מַגִּיעַ הַשָּׁמָיְמָה וְהִנֵּה מַלְאֲכֵי אֱלֹהִים עֹלִים וְיֹרְדִים בּוֹ

 28:13 And, behold, x2009 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 stood 5324 z8737 above x5921 it, and said, 559 z8799 I x589 [am] Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 of ´Avrähäm אַברָהָם 85 thy father, 1 and the ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 of Yixçäk יִצחָק: 3327 the land 776 whereon x834 x5921 thou x859 liest, 7901 z8802 to thee will I give x5414 it, y5414 z8799 and to thy seed; 2233

וְהָיָה זַרְעֲךָ כַּעֲפַר הָאָרֶץ וּפָרַצְתָּ יָמָּה וָקֵדְמָה וְצָפֹנָה וָנֶגְבָּה וְנִבְרֲכוּ בְךָ כָּל־מִשְׁפְּחֹת הָאֲדָמָה וּבְזַרְעֶךָ

 28:14 And thy seed 2233 shall be x1961 as the dust 6083 of the earth, 776 and thou shalt spread abroad 6555 z8804 to the west, 3220 and to the east, 6924 and to the north, 6828 and to the south: 5045 and in thee and in thy seed 2233 shall all x3605 the families 4940 of the earth 127 be blessed. 1288 z8738

וְהִנֵּה אָנֹכִי עִמָּךְ וּשְׁמַרְתִּיךָ בְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר־תֵּלֵךְ וַהֲשִׁבֹתִיךָ אֶל־הָאֲדָמָה הַזֹּאת כִּי לֹא אֶעֱזָבְךָ עַד אֲשֶׁר אִם־עָשִׂיתִי אֵת אֲשֶׁר־דִּבַּרְתִּי לָךְ

וַיִּיקַץ יַעֲקֹב מִשְּׁנָתוֹ וַיֹּאמֶר אָכֵן יֵשׁ יְהוָה בַּמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה וְאָנֹכִי לֹא יָדָעְתִּי

 28:16 waYiyqatz yaáqov miSH'nätô waYomer äkhën yësh y'hwäh BaMäqôm haZeh w'änokhiy lo yädä'Tiy

 28:16 ¶ And Ya`áköv יַעֲקֹב 3290 awaked 3364 z8799 out of his sleep, 8142 x4480 and he said, 559 z8799 Surely 403 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 is 3426 in this x2088 place; 4725 and I x595 knew 3045 z8804 [it] not. x3808

וַיִּירָא וַיֹּאמַר מַה־נּוֹרָא הַמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה אֵין זֶה כִּי אִם־בֵּית אֱלֹהִים וְזֶה שַׁעַר הַשָּׁמָיִם

 28:18 And Ya`áköv יַעֲקֹב 3290 rose up early 7925 z8686 in the morning, 1242 and took 3947 z8799 x853 the stone 68 that x834 he had put 7760 z8804 [for] his pillows, 4763 and set it up 7760 z8799 x853 [for] a pillar, 4676 and poured 3332 z8799 oil 8081 upon x5921 the top x7218 of it. y7218

וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שֵׁם־הַמָּקוֹם הַהוּא בֵּית־אֵל וְאוּלָם לוּז שֵׁם־הָעִיר לָרִאשֹׁנָה

 28:19 waYiq'rä et-shëm-haMäqôm hahû Bëyt-ël w'ûläm lûz shëm-häiyr lärishonäh

 28:19 And he called 7121 z8799 x853 the name 8034 of that x1931 place 4725 Bêŧ ´Ël בֵּית־אֵל: 1008 but 199 the name 8034 of that city 5892 [was called] Lûz לוּז 3870 at the first. 7223

וַיִּדַּר יַעֲקֹב נֶדֶר לֵאמֹר אִם־יִהְיֶה אֱלֹהִים עִמָּדִי וּשְׁמָרַנִי בַּדֶּרֶךְ הַזֶּה אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי הוֹלֵךְ וְנָתַן־לִי לֶחֶם לֶאֱכֹל וּבֶגֶד לִלְבֹּשׁ

 28:20 And Ya`áköv יַעֲקֹב 3290 vowed 5087 z8799 a vow, 5088 saying, 559 z8800 If x518 ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 will be x1961 with x5973 me, and will keep x8104 me y8104 z8804 in this x2088 way 1870 that x834 I x595 go, 1980 z8802 and will give 5414 z8804 me bread 3899 to eat, 398 z8800 and raiment 899 to put on, 3847 z8800

וְשַׁבְתִּי בְשָׁלוֹם אֶל־בֵּית אָבִי וְהָיָה יְהוָה לִי לֵאלֹהִים

 28:21 w'shav'Tiy v'shälôm el-Bëyt äviy w'häyäh y'hwäh liy lëlohiym

 28:21 So that I come again 7725 z8804 to x413 my father's 1 house 1004 in peace; 7965 then shall Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 be x1961 my ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים: 430

וְהָאֶבֶן הַזֹּאת אֲשֶׁר־שַׂמְתִּי מַצֵּבָה יִהְיֶה בֵּית אֱלֹהִים וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר תִּתֶּן־לִי עַשֵּׂר אֲעַשְּׂרֶנּוּ לָךְ

 28:22 w'häeven haZot ásher-sam'Tiy maTZëväh yih'yeh Bëyt élohiym w'khol ásher TiTen-liy aSër áaS'reNû läkh'
