 9:1 waYiq'rä v'äz'nay qôl Gädôl lëmor qär'vû P'quDôt häiyr w'iysh K'liy mash'chëtô B'yädô

 9:1 ¶ He cried 7121 z8799 also in mine ears 241 with a loud 1419 voice, 6963 saying, 559 z8800 Cause them that have charge 6486 over the city 5892 to draw near, 7126 z8804 even every man 376 [with] his destroying 4892 weapon 3627 in his hand. 3027

וְהִנֵּה שִׁשָּׁה אֲנָשִׁים בָּאִים מִדֶּרֶךְ־שַׁעַר הָעֶלְיוֹן אֲשֶׁר מָפְנֶה צָפוֹנָה וְאִישׁ כְּלִי מַפָּצוֹ בְּיָדוֹ וְאִישׁ־אֶחָד בְּתוֹכָם לָבֻשׁ בַּדִּים וְקֶסֶת הַסֹּפֵר בְּמָתְנָיו וַיָּבֹאוּ וַיַּעַמְדוּ אֵצֶל מִזְבַּח הַנְּחֹשֶׁת

וּכְבוֹד אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל נַעֲלָה מֵעַל הַכְּרוּב אֲשֶׁר הָיָה עָלָיו אֶל מִפְתַּן הַבָּיִת וַיִּקְרָא אֶל־הָאִישׁ הַלָּבֻשׁ הַבַּדִּים אֲשֶׁר קֶסֶת הַסֹּפֵר בְּמָתְנָיו ס

 9:3 And the glory 3519 of the ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 was gone up 5927 z8738 from x4480 x5921 the cherub, 3742 whereupon x834 x5921 he was, x1961 to x413 the threshold 4670 of the house. 1004 And he called 7121 z8799 to x413 the man 376 clothed 3847 z8803 with linen, 906 which x834 [had] the writer's 5608 z8802 inkhorn 7083 by his side; 4975

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה *אֵלוֹ [אֵלָיו] עֲבֹר בְּתוֹךְ הָעִיר בְּתוֹךְ יְרוּשָׁלִָם וְהִתְוִיתָ תָּו עַל־מִצְחוֹת הָאֲנָשִׁים הַנֶּאֱנָחִים וְהַנֶּאֱנָקִים עַל כָּל־הַתּוֹעֵבוֹת הַנַּעֲשׂוֹת בְּתוֹכָהּ

 9:4 And Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Go through 5674 z8798 the midst 8432 of the city, 5892 through the midst 8432 of Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם, 3389 and set 8427 z8689 a mark 8420 upon x5921 the foreheads 4696 of the men y582 x376 that sigh 584 z8737 and that cry 602 z8737 for x5921 all x3605 the abominations 8441 that be done 6213 z8737 in the midst 8432 thereof.

וּלְאֵלֶּה אָמַר בְּאָזְנַי עִבְרוּ בָעִיר אַחֲרָיו וְהַכּוּ *עַל־ [אַל־]תָּחֹס *עֵינֵיכֶם [עֵינְכֶם] וְאַל־תַּחְמֹלוּ

 9:5 ûl'ëLeh ämar B'äz'nay iv'rû väiyr acháräyw w'haKû *al- [al-]Tächoš *ëynëykhem [ëyn'khem] w'al-Tach'molû

 9:5 ¶ And to the others 428 he said 559 z8804 in mine hearing, 241 Go 5674 z8798 ye after 310 him through the city, 5892 and smite: 5221 z8685 let not x408 your eye 5869 spare, 2347 z8799 neither x408 have ye pity: 2550 z8799

זָקֵן בָּחוּר וּבְתוּלָה וְטַף וְנָשִׁים תַּהַרְגוּ לְמַשְׁחִית וְעַל־כָּל־אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר־עָלָיו הַתָּו אַל־תִּגַּשׁוּ וּמִמִּקְדָּשִׁי תָּחֵלּוּ וַיָּחֵלּוּ בָּאֲנָשִׁים הַזְּקֵנִים אֲשֶׁר לִפְנֵי הַבָּיִת

וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵיהֶם טַמְּאוּ אֶת־הַבַּיִת וּמַלְאוּ אֶת־הַחֲצֵרוֹת חֲלָלִים צֵאוּ וְיָצְאוּ וְהִכּוּ בָעִיר

 9:7 And he said 559 z8799 unto x413 them, Defile 2930 z8761 x853 the house, 1004 and fill 4390 z8761 x853 the courts 2691 with the slain: 2491 go ye forth. 3318 z8798 And they went forth, 3318 z8804 and slew 5221 z8689 in the city. 5892

וַיְהִי כְּהַכּוֹתָם וְנֵאשֲׁאַר אָנִי וָאֶפְּלָה עַל־פָּנַי וָאֶזְעַק וָאֹמַר אֲהָהּ אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הֲמַשְׁחִית אַתָּה אֵת כָּל־שְׁאֵרִית יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּשָׁפְכְּךָ אֶת־חֲמָתְךָ עַל־יְרוּשָׁלִָם

וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלַי עֲוֹן בֵּית־יִשְׂרָאֵל וִיהוּדָה גָּדוֹל בִּמְאֹד מְאֹד וַתִּמָּלֵא הָאָרֶץ דָּמִים וְהָעִיר מָלְאָה מֻטֶּה כִּי אָמְרוּ עָזַב יְהוָה אֶת־הָאָרֶץ וְאֵין יְהוָה רֹאֶה

 9:9 waYomer ëlay áwon Bëyt-yis'räël wiyhûdäh Gädôl Bim'od m'od waTiMälë hääretz Dämiym w'häiyr mäl'äh muŢeh Kiy äm'rû äzav y'hwäh et-hääretz w'ëyn y'hwäh roeh

 9:9 Then said 559 z8799 he unto x413 me, The iniquity 5771 of the house 1004 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 and Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה 3063 [is] exceeding 3966 great, 1419 and the land 776 is full 4390 z8735 of blood, 1818 and the city 5892 full 4390 z8804 of perverseness: 4297 for x3588 they say, 559 z8804 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 hath forsaken 5800 z8804 x853 the earth, 776 and Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 seeth 7200 z8802 not. x369

וְגַם־אֲנִי לֹא־תָחוֹס עֵינִי וְלֹא אֶחְמֹל דַּרְכָּם בְּרֹאשָׁם נָתָתִּי

 9:10 w'gam-ániy lo-tächôš ëyniy w'lo ech'mol Dar'Käm B'roshäm nätäTiy

וְהִנֵּה הָאִישׁ לְבֻשׁ הַבַּדִּים אֲשֶׁר הַקֶּסֶת בְּמָתְנָיו מֵשִׁיב דָּבָר לֵאמֹר עָשִׂיתִי *כַאֲשֶׁר [כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר] צִוִּיתָנִי ס

 9:11 And, behold, x2009 the man 376 clothed 3847 z8803 with linen, 906 which x834 [had] the inkhorn 7083 by his side, 4975 reported 7725 z8688 the matter, 1697 saying, 559 z8800 I have done 6213 z8804 as x3605 x834 thou hast commanded 6680 z8765 me.
