 40:2 B'yôm-hachodesh härishôn B'echäd lachodesh Täqiym et-mish'Kan ohel môëd

 40:2 On the first y7223 day 3117 x259 x2320 of the first y259 x7223 month 2320 shalt thou set up 6965 z8686 x853 the tabernacle 4908 of the tent 168 of the congregation. 4150

וְשַׂמְתָּ שָׁם אֵת אֲרוֹן הָעֵדוּת וְסַכֹּתָ עַל־הָאָרֹן אֶת־הַפָּרֹכֶת

 40:3 w'sam'Tä shäm ët árôn häëdût w'šaKotä al-hääron et-haPärokhet

 40:3 And thou shalt put 7760 z8804 therein 8033 x853 the ark 727 of the testimony, 5715 and cover 5526 z8804 x5921 the ark 727 with x854 the vail. 6532

וְהֵבֵאתָ אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן וְעָרַכְתָּ אֶת־עֶרְכּוֹ וְהֵבֵאתָ אֶת־הַמְּנֹרָה וְהַעֲלֵיתָ אֶת־נֵרֹתֶיהָ

 40:4 w'hëvëtä et-haSHul'chän w'ärakh'Tä et-er'Kô w'hëvëtä et-haM'noräh w'haálëytä et-nëroteyhä

 40:4 And thou shalt bring y935 z8689 in x935 x853 the table, 7979 and set in order 6186 z8804 x853 the things that are to be set in order 6187 upon it; and thou shalt bring y935 z8689 in x935 x853 the candlestick, 4501 and light 5927 z8689 x853 the lamps 5216 thereof.

וְנָתַתָּה אֶת־מִזְבַּח הַזָּהָב לִקְטֹרֶת לִפְנֵי אֲרוֹן הָעֵדֻת וְשַׂמְתָּ אֶת־מָסַךְ הַפֶּתַח לַמִּשְׁכָּן

 40:5 w'nätaTäh et-miz'Bach haZähäv liq'ţoret lif'nëy árôn häëdut w'sam'Tä et-mäšakh' haPetach laMish'Kän

 40:5 And thou shalt set 5414 z8804 x853 the altar 4196 of gold 2091 for the incense 7004 before 6440 the ark 727 of the testimony, 5715 and put 7760 z8804 x853 the hanging 4539 of the door 6607 to the tabernacle. 4908

וְנָתַתָּה אֵת מִזְבַּח הָעֹלָה לִפְנֵי פֶּתַח מִשְׁכַּן אֹהֶל־מוֹעֵד

 40:6 And thou shalt set 5414 z8804 x853 the altar 4196 of the burnt offering 5930 before 6440 the door 6607 of the tabernacle 4908 of the tent 168 of the congregation. 4150

וְנָתַתָּ אֶת־הַכִּיֹּר בֵּין־אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וּבֵין הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְנָתַתָּ שָׁם מָיִם

 40:7 w'nätaTä et-haKiYor Bëyn-ohel môëd ûvëyn haMiz'Bëªch w'nätaTä shäm mäyim

 40:7 And thou shalt set 5414 z8804 x853 the laver 3595 between x996 the tent 168 of the congregation 4150 and the altar, 4196 and shalt put 5414 z8804 water 4325 therein. x8033

וְשַׂמְתָּ אֶת־הֶחָצֵר סָבִיב וְנָתַתָּ אֶת־מָסַךְ שַׁעַר הֶחָצֵר

 40:8 w'sam'Tä et-hechätzër šäviyv w'nätaTä et-mäšakh' shaar hechätzër

 40:8 And thou shalt set up 7760 z8804 x853 the court 2691 round about, 5439 and hang up 5414 z8804 x853 the hanging 4539 at the court 2691 gate. 8179

וְלָקַחְתָּ אֶת־שֶׁמֶן הַמִּשְׁחָה וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־בּוֹ וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֹתוֹ וְאֶת־כָּל־כֵּלָיו וְהָיָה קֹדֶשׁ

 40:9 w'läqach'Tä et-shemen haMish'chäh ûmäshach'Tä et-haMish'Kän w'et-Käl-ásher-Bô w'qiDash'Tä otô w'et-Käl-Këläyw w'häyäh qodesh

 40:9 And thou shalt take 3947 z8804 x853 the anointing 4888 oil, 8081 and anoint 4886 z8804 x853 the tabernacle, 4908 and all x3605 that x834 [is] therein, and shalt hallow 6942 z8765 it, and all x3605 the vessels 3627 thereof: and it shall be x1961 holy. 6944

וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֶת־מִזְבַּח הָעֹלָה וְאֶת־כָּל־כֵּלָיו וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְהָיָה הַמִּזְבֵּחַ קֹדֶשׁ קָדָשִׁים

 40:10 ûmäshach'Tä et-miz'Bach häoläh w'et-Käl-Këläyw w'qiDash'Tä et-haMiz'Bëªch w'häyäh haMiz'Bëªch qodesh qädäshiym

 40:10 And thou shalt anoint 4886 z8804 x853 the altar 4196 of the burnt offering, 5930 and all x3605 his vessels, 3627 and sanctify 6942 z8765 x853 the altar: 4196 and it shall be x1961 an altar 4196 most y6944 holy. 6944

וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֶת־הַכִּיֹּר וְאֶת־כַּנּוֹ וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֹתוֹ

וְהִקְרַבְתָּ אֶת־אַהֲרֹן וְאֶת־בָּנָיו אֶל־פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְרָחַצְתָּ אֹתָם בַּמָּיִם

 40:12 w'hiq'rav'Tä et-aháron w'et-Bänäyw el-Petach ohel môëd w'rächatz'Tä otäm BaMäyim

 40:12 And thou shalt bring 7126 z8689 x853 ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹן 175 and his sons 1121 unto x413 the door 6607 of the tabernacle 168 of the congregation, 4150 and wash 7364 z8804 them with water. 4325

וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ אֶת־אַהֲרֹן אֵת בִּגְדֵי הַקֹּדֶשׁ וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֹתוֹ וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֹתוֹ וְכִהֵן לִי

 40:13 w'hil'Bash'Tä et-aháron ët Big'dëy haQodesh ûmäshach'Tä otô w'qiDash'Tä otô w'khihën liy

 40:13 And thou shalt put y3847 z8689 upon x3847 x853 ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹן 175 the x853 holy 6944 garments, 899 and anoint 4886 z8804 him, and sanctify 6942 z8765 him; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office. 3547 z8765

וְאֶת־בָּנָיו תַּקְרִיב וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ אֹתָם כֻּתֳּנֹת

 40:14 w'et-Bänäyw Taq'riyv w'hil'Bash'Tä otäm KuTónot

 40:14 And thou shalt bring 7126 z8686 his sons, 1121 and clothe 3847 z8689 them with coats: 3801

וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֹתָם כַּאֲשֶׁר מָשַׁחְתָּ אֶת־אֲבִיהֶם וְכִהֲנוּ לִי וְהָיְתָה לִהְיֹת לָהֶם מָשְׁחָתָם לִכְהֻנַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתָם

 40:15 ûmäshach'Tä otäm Kaásher mäshach'Tä et-áviyhem w'khihánû liy w'häy'täh lih'yot lähem mäsh'chätäm likh'huNat ôläm l'dorotäm

 40:15 And thou shalt anoint 4886 z8804 them, as x834 thou didst anoint 4886 z8804 x853 their father, 1 that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: 3547 z8765 for their anointing y4888 x4886 shall surely be 1961 an everlasting 5769 priesthood 3550 throughout their generations. 1755

וַיַּעַשׂ מֹשֶׁה כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֹתוֹ כֵּן עָשָׂה ס

 40:16 Thus did 6213 z8799 Möšè מֹשֶׁה: 4872 according to all x3605 that x834 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 him, so x3651 did 6213 z8804 he.

וַיְהִי בַּחֹדֶשׁ הָרִאשׁוֹן בַּשָּׁנָה הַשֵּׁנִית בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ הוּקַם הַמִּשְׁכָּן

וַיָּקֶם מֹשֶׁה אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן וַיִּתֵּן אֶת־אֲדָנָיו וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־קְרָשָׁיו וַיִּתֵּן אֶת־בְּרִיחָיו וַיָּקֶם אֶת־עַמּוּדָיו

 40:18 And Möšè מֹשֶׁה 4872 reared up 6965 z8686 x853 the tabernacle, 4908 and fastened 5414 z8799 x853 his sockets, 134 and set up 7760 z8799 x853 the boards 7175 thereof, and put y5414 z8799 in x5414 x853 the bars 1280 thereof, and reared up 6965 z8686 x853 his pillars. 5982

וַיִּפְרֹשׂ אֶת־הָאֹהֶל עַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־מִכְסֵה הָאֹהֶל עָלָיו מִלְמָעְלָה כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה ס

 40:19 And he spread abroad 6566 z8799 x853 the tent 168 over x5921 the tabernacle, 4908 and put 7760 z8799 x853 the covering 4372 of the tent 168 above 4605 x4480 upon x5921 it; as x834 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 x853 Möšè מֹשֶׁה. 4872

וַיִּקַּח וַיִּתֵּן אֶת־הָעֵדֻת אֶל־הָאָרֹן וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־הַבַּדִּים עַל־הָאָרֹן וַיִּתֵּן אֶת־הַכַּפֹּרֶת עַל־הָאָרֹן מִלְמָעְלָה

 40:20 ¶ And he took 3947 z8799 and put 5414 z8799 x853 the testimony 5715 into x413 the ark, 727 and set 7760 z8799 x853 the staves 905 on x5921 the ark, 727 and put 5414 z8799 x853 the mercy seat 3727 above 4605 x4480 upon x5921 the ark: 727

וַיָּבֵא אֶת־הָאָרֹן אֶל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן וַיָּשֶׂם אֵת פָּרֹכֶת הַמָּסָךְ וַיָּסֶךְ עַל אֲרוֹן הָעֵדוּת כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה ס

 40:21 And he brought 935 z8686 x853 the ark 727 into x413 the tabernacle, 4908 and set up 7760 z8799 x853 the vail 6532 of the covering, 4539 and covered 5526 z8686 x5921 the ark 727 of the testimony; 5715 as x834 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 x853 Möšè מֹשֶׁה. 4872

וַיִּתֵּן אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד עַל יֶרֶךְ הַמִּשְׁכָּן צָפֹנָה מִחוּץ לַפָּרֹכֶת

 40:22 ¶ And he put 5414 z8799 x853 the table 7979 in the tent 168 of the congregation, 4150 upon x5921 the side 3409 of the tabernacle 4908 northward, 6828 without 2351 x4480 the vail. 6532

וַיַּעֲרֹךְ עָלָיו עֵרֶךְ לֶחֶם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה ס

 40:23 waYaárokh' äläyw ërekh' lechem lif'nëy y'hwäh Kaásher tziûäh y'hwäh et-mosheh š

 40:23 And he set y6187 x6186 the bread 3899 in order y6186 z8799 x6187 upon x5921 it before 6440 Yähwè יָהוֶה; 3068 as x834 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 had commanded 6680 z8765 x853 Möšè מֹשֶׁה. 4872

וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־הַמְּנֹרָה בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד נֹכַח הַשֻּׁלְחָן עַל יֶרֶךְ הַמִּשְׁכָּן נֶגְבָּה

 40:24 ¶ And he put 7760 z8799 x853 the candlestick 4501 in the tent 168 of the congregation, 4150 over against 5227 the table, 7979 on x5921 the side 3409 of the tabernacle 4908 southward. 5045

וַיַּעַל הַנֵּרֹת לִפְנֵי יְהוָה כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה ס

 40:25 waYaal haNërot lif'nëy y'hwäh Kaásher tziûäh y'hwäh et-mosheh š

 40:25 And he lighted 5927 z8686 the lamps 5216 before 6440 Yähwè יָהוֶה; 3068 as x834 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 x853 Möšè מֹשֶׁה. 4872

וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־מִזְבַּח הַזָּהָב בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד לִפְנֵי הַפָּרֹכֶת

וַיַּקְטֵר עָלָיו קְטֹרֶת סַמִּים כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה פ

 40:27 waYaq'ţër äläyw q'ţoret šaMiym Kaásher tziûäh y'hwäh et-mosheh f

 40:27 And he burnt 6999 z8686 sweet 5561 incense 7004 thereon; x5921 as x834 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 x853 Möšè מֹשֶׁה. 4872

וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־מָסַךְ הַפֶּתַח לַמִּשְׁכָּן

 40:28 waYäsem et-mäšakh' haPetach laMish'Kän

 40:28 ¶ And he set up 7760 z8799 x853 the hanging 4539 [at] the door 6607 of the tabernacle. 4908

וְאֵת מִזְבַּח הָעֹלָה שָׂם פֶּתַח מִשְׁכַּן אֹהֶל־מוֹעֵד וַיַּעַל עָלָיו אֶת־הָעֹלָה וְאֶת־הַמִּנְחָה כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה ס

 40:29 w'ët miz'Bach häoläh säm Petach mish'Kan ohel-môëd waYaal äläyw et-häoläh w'et-haMin'chäh Kaásher tziûäh y'hwäh et-mosheh š

 40:29 And he put 7760 z8804 the altar 4196 of burnt offering 5930 [by] the door 6607 of the tabernacle 4908 of the tent 168 of the congregation, 4150 and offered 5927 z8686 upon x5921 it x853 the burnt offering 5930 and the meat offering; 4503 as x834 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 x853 Möšè מֹשֶׁה. 4872

וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת־הַכִּיֹּר בֵּין־אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וּבֵין הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וַיִּתֵּן שָׁמָּה מַיִם לְרָחְצָה

וְרָחֲצוּ מִמֶּנּוּ מֹשֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן וּבָנָיו אֶת־יְדֵיהֶם וְאֶת־רַגְלֵיהֶם

 40:31 w'rächátzû miMeNû mosheh w'aháron ûvänäyw et-y'dëyhem w'et-rag'lëyhem

 40:31 And Möšè מֹשֶׁה 4872 and ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹן 175 and his sons 1121 washed 7364 z8804 x853 their hands 3027 and their feet 7272 thereat: x4480

בְּבֹאָם אֶל־אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וּבְקָרְבָתָם אֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַ יִרְחָצוּ כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה ס

 40:32 B'voäm el-ohel môëd ûv'qär'vätäm el-haMiz'Bëªch yir'chätzû Kaásher tziûäh y'hwäh et-mosheh š

 40:32 When they went 935 z8800 into x413 the tent 168 of the congregation, 4150 and when they came near 7126 z8800 unto x413 the altar, 4196 they washed; 7364 z8799 as x834 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 x853 Möšè מֹשֶׁה. 4872

וַיָּקֶם אֶת־הֶחָצֵר סָבִיב לַמִּשְׁכָּן וְלַמִּזְבֵּחַ וַיִּתֵּן אֶת־מָסַךְ שַׁעַר הֶחָצֵר וַיְכַל מֹשֶׁה אֶת־הַמְּלָאכָה פ

 40:33 And he reared up 6965 z8686 x853 the court 2691 round about 5439 the tabernacle 4908 and the altar, 4196 and set up 5414 z8799 x853 the hanging 4539 of the court 2691 gate. 8179 So Möšè מֹשֶׁה 4872 finished 3615 z8762 x853 the work. 4399

וַיְכַס הֶעָנָן אֶת־אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וּכְבוֹד יְהוָה מָלֵא אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן

 40:34 way'khaš heänän et-ohel môëd ûkh'vôd y'hwäh mälë et-haMish'Kän

 40:34 ¶ Then a cloud 6051 covered 3680 z8762 x853 the tent 168 of the congregation, 4150 and the glory 3519 of Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 filled 4390 z8804 x853 the tabernacle. 4908

וְלֹא־יָכֹל מֹשֶׁה לָבוֹא אֶל־אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד כִּי־שָׁכַן עָלָיו הֶעָנָן וּכְבוֹד יְהוָה מָלֵא אֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן

 40:35 w'lo-yäkhol mosheh lävô el-ohel môëd Kiy-shäkhan äläyw heänän ûkh'vôd y'hwäh mälë et-haMish'Kän

 40:35 And Möšè מֹשֶׁה 4872 was not x3808 able 3201 z8804 to enter 935 z8800 into x413 the tent 168 of the congregation, 4150 because x3588 the cloud 6051 abode 7931 z8804 thereon, x5921 and the glory 3519 of Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 filled 4390 z8804 x853 the tabernacle. 4908

וּבְהֵעָלוֹת הֶעָנָן מֵעַל הַמִּשְׁכָּן יִסְעוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּכֹל מַסְעֵיהֶם

 40:36 ûv'hëälôt heänän mëal haMish'Kän yiš'û B'nëy yis'räël B'khol maš'ëyhem

 40:36 And when the cloud 6051 was taken up 5927 z8736 from y5921 over x4480 x5921 the tabernacle, 4908 the children 1121 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 went onward 5265 z8799 in all x3605 their journeys: 4550

וְאִם־לֹא יֵעָלֶה הֶעָנָן וְלֹא יִסְעוּ עַד־יוֹם הֵעָלֹתוֹ

 40:37 w'im-lo yëäleh heänän w'lo yiš'û ad-yôm hëälotô

 40:37 But if x518 the cloud 6051 were not x3808 taken up, 5927 z8735 then they journeyed 5265 z8799 not x3808 till x5704 the day 3117 that it was taken up. 5927 z8736

כִּי עֲנַן יְהוָה עַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן יוֹמָם וְאֵשׁ תִּהְיֶה לַיְלָה בּוֹ לְעֵינֵי כָל־בֵּית־יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּכָל־מַסְעֵיהֶם

 40:38 Kiy ánan y'hwäh al-haMish'Kän yômäm w'ësh Tih'yeh lay'läh Bô l'ëynëy khäl-Bëyt-yis'räël B'khäl-maš'ëyhem

 40:38 For x3588 the cloud 6051 of Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 [was] upon x5921 the tabernacle 4908 by day, 3119 and fire 784 was x1961 on it by night, 3915 in the sight 5869 of all x3605 the house 1004 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל, 3478 throughout all x3605 their journeys. 4550
