וַיִּצְמָא שָׁם הָעָם לַמַּיִם וַיָּלֶן הָעָם עַל־מֹשֶׁה וַיֹּאמֶר לָמָּה זֶּה הֶעֱלִיתָנוּ מִמִּצְרַיִם לְהָמִית אֹתִי וְאֶת־בָּנַי וְאֶת־מִקְנַי בַּצָּמָא

וַיִּצְעַק מֹשֶׁה אֶל־יְהוָה לֵאמֹר מָה אֶעֱשֶׂה לָעָם הַזֶּה עוֹד מְעַט וּסְקָלֻנִי

 17:4 waYitz'aq mosheh el-y'hwäh lëmor mäh eéseh lääm haZeh ôd m'aţ ûš'qäluniy

 17:4 And Möšè מֹשֶׁה 4872 cried 6817 z8799 unto x413 Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 saying, 559 z8800 What x4100 shall I do 6213 z8799 unto this x2088 people? 5971 they be almost 4592 ready x5750 to stone 5619 z8804 me.

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה עֲבֹר לִפְנֵי הָעָם וְקַח אִתְּךָ מִזִּקְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּמַטְּךָ אֲשֶׁר הִכִּיתָ בּוֹ אֶת־הַיְאֹר קַח בְּיָדְךָ וְהָלָכְתָּ

 17:5 And Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Möšè מֹשֶׁה, 4872 Go on 5674 z8798 before 6440 the people, 5971 and take 3947 z8798 with x854 thee of the elders 2205 x4480 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל; 3478 and thy rod, 4294 wherewith x834 thou smotest 5221 z8689 x853 the river, 2975 take 3947 z8798 in thine hand, 3027 and go. 1980 z8804

הִנְנִי עֹמֵד לְפָנֶיךָ שָּׁם עַל־הַצּוּר בְּחֹרֵב וְהִכִּיתָ בַצּוּר וְיָצְאוּ מִמֶּנּוּ מַיִם וְשָׁתָה הָעָם וַיַּעַשׂ כֵּן מֹשֶׁה לְעֵינֵי זִקְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל

וַיָּבֹא עֲמָלֵק וַיִּלָּחֶם עִם־יִשְׂרָאֵל בִּרְפִידִם

 17:9 And Möšè מֹשֶׁה 4872 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Yæhôšuå` יְהוֹשֻׁעַ, 3091 Choose us out 977 z8798 men, y582 x376 and go out, 3318 z8798 fight 3898 z8734 with `Ámälëk עֲמָלֵק: 6002 to morrow 4279 I x595 will stand 5324 z8737 on x5921 the top 7218 of the hill 1389 with the rod 4294 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 in mine hand. 3027

וַיַּעַשׂ יְהוֹשֻׁעַ כַּאֲשֶׁר אָמַר־לוֹ מֹשֶׁה לְהִלָּחֵם בַּעֲמָלֵק וּמֹשֶׁה אַהֲרֹן וְחוּר עָלוּ רֹאשׁ הַגִּבְעָה

 17:10 waYaas y'hôshuª Kaásher ämar-lô mosheh l'hiLächëm Baámälëq ûmosheh aháron w'chûr älû rosh haGiv'äh

 17:10 So Yæhôšuå` יְהוֹשֻׁעַ 3091 did 6213 z8799 as x834 Möšè מֹשֶׁה 4872 had said 559 z8804 to him, and fought 3898 z8736 with `Ámälëk עֲמָלֵק: 6002 and Möšè מֹשֶׁה, 4872 ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹן, 175 and Çûr חוּר 2354 went up 5927 z8804 to the top 7218 of the hill. 1389

וַיַּחֲלֹשׁ יְהוֹשֻׁעַ אֶת־עֲמָלֵק וְאֶת־עַמּוֹ לְפִי־חָרֶב פ

 17:13 waYachálosh y'hôshuª et-ámälëq w'et-aMô l'fiy-chärev f

 17:13 And Yæhôšuå` יְהוֹשֻׁעַ 3091 discomfited 2522 z8799 x853 `Ámälëk עֲמָלֵק 6002 and his people 5971 with the edge 6310 of the sword. 2719

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה כְּתֹב זֹאת זִכָּרוֹן בַּסֵּפֶר וְשִׂים בְּאָזְנֵי יְהוֹשֻׁעַ כִּי־מָחֹה אֶמְחֶה אֶת־זֵכֶר עֲמָלֵק מִתַּחַת הַשָּׁמָיִם

וַיֹּאמֶר כִּי־יָד עַל־כֵּס יָהּ מִלְחָמָה לַיהוָה בַּעֲמָלֵק מִדֹּר דֹּר פ
