 53:1 ¶
[[To the chief Musician upon Machalath, Maskil, [A Psalm] of Dawid.]] The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no Elohim. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: [there is] none that doeth good. |
 53:2
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִיםº
looked downºº
from heavenºº
uponº
the childrenº
of men,º
to seeºº
if there wereº
[any] that did understand,ºº
that did seekººº
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.º |
 53:2
Elohim looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were [any] that did understand, that did seek Elohim. |
 53:3
Every oneº
of them is gone back:ºº
they are altogetherº
become filthy;ºº
[there is] noneº
that doethºº
good,º
no,º
notº
one.º |
 53:3
Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; [there is] none that doeth good, no, not one. |
 53:4
Have the workersºº
of iniquityº
noº

who eat upºº
my peopleº
[as] they eatºº
bread:º
they have notº
calledºº
uponº
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.º |
 53:4
Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people [as] they eat bread: they have not called upon Elohim. |
 53:5
Thereº
were they in greatº
fear,ººº
[where] noº
fearº
was:º
forº
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִיםº
hath scatteredºº
the bonesº
of him that encampethºº
[against] thee: thou hast put [them] to shame,ºº
becauseº
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִיםº
hath despisedºº
them. |
 53:5
There were they in great fear, [where] no fear was: for Elohim hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth [against] thee: thou hast put [them] to shame, because Elohim hath despised them. |
 53:6

Oh that the salvation of Yisrael [were come] out of Tziyyon! When Elohim bringeth back the captivity of his people, Yaaqov shall rejoice, [and] Yisrael shall be glad. |
