 1:1 ¶ And Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה 8010 the son 1121 of Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 was strengthened 2388 z8691 in x5921 his kingdom, 4438 and Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 his ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 [was] with x5973 him, and magnified 1431 z8762 him exceedingly. 4605

וַיֵּלְכוּ שְׁלֹמֹה וְכָל־הַקָּהָל עִמּוֹ לַבָּמָה אֲשֶׁר בְּגִבְעוֹן כִּי־שָׁם הָיָה אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד הָאֱלֹהִים אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה מֹשֶׁה עֶבֶד־יְהוָה בַּמִּדְבָּר

וַיַּעַל שְׁלֹמֹה שָׁם עַל־מִזְבַּח הַנְּחֹשֶׁת לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר לְאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וַיַּעַל עָלָיו עֹלוֹת אָלֶף

בַּלַּיְלָה הַהוּא נִרְאָה אֱלֹהִים לִשְׁלֹמֹה וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ שְׁאַל מָה אֶתֶּן־לָךְ

וַיֹּאמֶר שְׁלֹמֹה לֵאלֹהִים אַתָּה עָשִׂיתָ עִם־דָּוִיד אָבִי חֶסֶד גָּדוֹל וְהִמְלַכְתַּנִי תַּחְתָּיו

עַתָּה יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים יֵאָמֵן דְּבָרְךָ עִם דָּוִיד אָבִי כִּי אַתָּה הִמְלַכְתַּנִי עַל־עַם רַב כַּעֲפַר הָאָרֶץ

וַיֹּאמֶר־אֱלֹהִים לִשְׁלֹמֹה יַעַן אֲשֶׁר הָיְתָה זֹאת עִם־לְבָבֶךָ וְלֹא־שָׁאַלְתָּ עֹשֶׁר נְכָסִים וְכָבוֹד וְאֵת נֶפֶשׁ שֹׂנְאֶיךָ וְגַם־יָמִים רַבִּים לֹא שָׁאָלְתָּ וַתִּשְׁאַל־לְךָ חָכְמָה וּמַדָּע אֲשֶׁר תִּשְׁפּוֹט אֶת־עַמִּי אֲשֶׁר הִמְלַכְתִּיךָ עָלָיו

הַחָכְמָה וְהַמַּדָּע נָתוּן לָךְ וְעֹשֶׁר וּנְכָסִים וְכָבוֹד אֶתֶּן־לָךְ אֲשֶׁר לֹא־הָיָה כֵן לַמְּלָכִים אֲשֶׁר לְפָנֶיךָ וְאַחֲרֶיךָ לֹא יִהְיֶה־כֵּן

 1:12 Wisdom 2451 and knowledge 4093 [is] granted 5414 z8803 unto thee; and I will give 5414 z8799 thee riches, 6239 and wealth, 5233 and honour, 3519 such as x834 x3651 none x3808 of the kings 4428 have had x1961 that x834 [have been] before 6440 thee, neither x3808 shall there any after 310 thee have x1961 the like. x3651

וַיָּבֹא שְׁלֹמֹה לַבָּמָה אֲשֶׁר־בְּגִבְעוֹן יְרוּשָׁלִַם מִלִּפְנֵי אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וַיִּמְלֹךְ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל פ

 1:13 ¶ Then Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה 8010 came 935 z8799 [from his journey] to the high place 1116 that x834 [was] at Giv`ôn גִּבעוֹן 1391 to Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם, 3389 from before 6440 x4480 the tabernacle 168 of the congregation, 4150 and reigned 4427 z8799 over x5921 Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל. 3478

וַיֶּאֱסֹף שְׁלֹמֹה רֶכֶב וּפָרָשִׁים וַיְהִי־לוֹ אֶלֶף וְאַרְבַּע־מֵאוֹת רֶכֶב וּשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂר אֶלֶף פָּרָשִׁים וַיַּנִּיחֵם בְּעָרֵי הָרֶכֶב וְעִם־הַמֶּלֶךְ בִּירוּשָׁלִָם

 1:14 waYeéšof sh'lomoh rekhev ûfäräshiym way'hiy-lô elef w'ar'Ba-mëôt rekhev ûsh'nëym-äsär elef Päräshiym waYaNiychëm B'ärëy härekhev w'im-haMelekh' Biyrûshäläim

 1:14 And Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה 8010 gathered 622 z8799 chariots 7393 and horsemen: 6571 and he had x1961 a thousand 505 and four 702 hundred 3967 chariots, 7393 and twelve 8147 6240 thousand 505 horsemen, 6571 which he placed y3240 z8686 x5117 in the chariot 7393 cities, 5892 and with x5973 the king 4428 at Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם. 3389

וַיִּתֵּן הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת־הַכֶּסֶף וְאֶת־הַזָּהָב בִּירוּשָׁלִַם כָּאֲבָנִים וְאֵת הָאֲרָזִים נָתַן כַּשִּׁקְמִים אֲשֶׁר־בַּשְּׁפֵלָה לָרֹב

 1:15 And the king 4428 made 5414 z8799 x853 silver 3701 and gold 2091 at Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם 3389 [as plenteous] as stones, 68 and cedar trees 730 made 5414 z8804 he as the sycomore trees 8256 that x834 [are] in the vale 8219 for abundance. 7230

וּמוֹצָא הַסּוּסִים אֲשֶׁר לִשְׁלֹמֹה מִמִּצְרָיִם וּמִקְוֵא סֹחֲרֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ מִקְוֵא יִקְחוּ בִּמְחִיר

 1:16 And Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה 8010 had horses 5483 brought y4161 out x4161 of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם, 4714 x4480 and linen yarn: 4723 the king's 4428 merchants 5503 z8802 received 3947 z8799 the linen yarn 4723 at a price. 4242

וַיַּעֲלוּ וַיּוֹצִיאוּ מִמִּצְרַיִם מֶרְכָּבָה בְּשֵׁשׁ מֵאוֹת כֶּסֶף וְסוּס בַּחֲמִשִּׁים וּמֵאָה וְכֵן לְכָל־מַלְכֵי הַחִתִּים וּמַלְכֵי אֲרָם בְּיָדָם יוֹצִיאוּ
