Isaiah 65

1 The calling of the Gentiles. 2 The Jews, for their incredulity, idolatry, and hypocrisy, are rejected. 8 A remnant shall be saved. 11 Judgments on the wicked, and blessings on the godly. 17 The blessed state of the new Jerusalem.

 65:1 “I permitted Myself to be sought 1875 by those who did not ask 7592 [for Me]; I permitted Myself to be found 4672 by those who did not seek 1245 Me. I said 559, ‘Here 2009 am I, here 2009 am I,’ To a nation 1471 which did not call 7121 on My name 8034.

 65:2 “I have spread 6566 out My hands 3027 all 3605 day 3117 long to a rebellious 5637 people 5971a, Who walk 1980 [in] the way 1870 which is not good 2896a, following 310 their own thoughts 4284,

 65:3 A people 5971a who continually 8548 provoke 3707 Me to My face 6440, Offering 2076 sacrifices 2076 in gardens 1593 and burning 6999 incense 6999 on bricks 3843;

 65:4 Who sit 3427 among graves 6913 and spend 3885a the night 3885a in secret 5341 places 5341; Who eat 398 swine’s 2386 flesh 1320, And the broth 4839 of unclean 6292 meat 6292 is [in] their pots 3627.

 65:5 “Who say 559, ‘Keep 7126 to yourself, do not come 5066 near 5066 me, For I am holier 6942 than you!’ These 428 are smoke 6227 in My nostrils 639, A fire 784 that burns 3344 all 3605 the day 3117.

 65:6 “Behold 2009, it is written 3789 before 6440 Me, I will not keep 2814 silent 2814, but I will repay 7999a; I will even repay 7999a into their bosom 2436,

 65:7 Both their own iniquities 5771 and the iniquities 5771 of their fathers 1 together 3164a,” says 559 the LORD 3068. “Because 834 they have burned 6999 incense 6999 on the mountains 2022 And scorned 2778a Me on the hills 1389, Therefore I will measure 4058 their former 7223 work 6468 into their bosom 2436.”

 65:8 ¶ Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, “As the new 8492 wine 8492 is found 4672 in the cluster 811, And one says 559, ‘Do not destroy 7843 it, for there is benefit 1293 in it,’ So 3651 I will act 6213a on behalf 4616 of My servants 5650 In order not to destroy 7843 all 3605 of them.

 65:9 “I will bring 3318 forth 3318 offspring 2233 from Jacob 3290, And an heir 3423 of My mountains 2022 from Judah 3063; Even My chosen 972 ones 972 shall inherit 3423 it, And My servants 5650 will dwell 7931 there 8033.

 65:10 “Sharon 8289 will be a pasture 5116a land 5116a for flocks 6629, And the valley 6010 of Achor 5911 a resting 7258 place 7258 for herds 1241, For My people 5971a who 834 seek 1875 Me.

 65:11 “But you who forsake 5800a the LORD 3068, Who 7913 forget 7913 My holy 6944 mountain 2022, Who 7913 set 6186a a table 7979 for Fortune 1409, And who fill 4390 [cups] with mixed 4469 wine 4469 for Destiny 4507,

 65:12 I will destine 4487 you for the sword 2719, And all 3605 of you will bow 3766 down 3766 to the slaughter 2874. Because 3282 I called 7121, but you did not answer 6030a; I spoke 1696, but you did not hear 8085. And you did 6213a evil 7451a in My sight 5869 And chose 977 that in which 834 I did not delight 2654a.”

 65:13 ¶ Therefore 3651, thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Behold 2009, My servants 5650 will eat 398, but you will be hungry 7456. Behold 2009, My servants 5650 will drink 8354, but you will be thirsty 6770. Behold 2009, My servants 5650 will rejoice 8055, but you will be put 954 to shame 954.

 65:14 “Behold 2009, My servants 5650 will shout 7442 joyfully 7442 with a glad 2898 heart 3820, But you will cry 6817 out with a heavy 3511 heart 3820, And you will wail 3213 with a broken 7665 spirit 7307.

 65:15 “You will leave 5117 your name 8034 for a curse 7621 to My chosen 972 ones 972, And the Lord 136 GOD 3068 will slay 4191 you. But My servants 5650 will be called 7121 by another 312 name 8034.

 65:16 “Because 834 he who is blessed 1288 in the earth 776 Will be blessed 1288 by the God 430 of truth 543; And he who swears 7650 in the earth 776 Will swear 7650 by the God 430 of truth 543; Because 3588 the former 7223 troubles 6869a are forgotten 7911, And because 3588 they are hidden 5641 from My sight 5869!

 65:17 ¶ “For behold 2009, I create 1254a new 2319 heavens 8064 and a new 2319 earth 776; And the former 7223 things 7223 will not be remembered 2142 or come 5927 to mind 3820.

 65:18 “But be glad 7797 and rejoice 1523 forever 5703 in what 834 I create 1254a; For behold 2009, I create 1254a Jerusalem 3389 [for] rejoicing 1525 And her people 5971a [for] gladness 4885.

 65:19 “I will also rejoice 1523 in Jerusalem 3389 and be glad 7797 in My people 5971a; And there will no 3808 longer 5750 be heard 8085 in her The voice 6963 of weeping 1065 and the sound 6963 of crying 2201.

 65:20 “No 3808 longer 5750 will there be in it an infant 5764 [who lives but a few] days 3117, Or an old 2205 man 2205 who 834 does not live 4390 out his days 3117; For the youth 5288 will die 4191 at the age 1121 of one hundred 3967 And the one who does not reach 2398 the age 1121 of one hundred 3967 Will be [thought] accursed 7043.

 65:21 “They will build 1129 houses 1004 and inhabit 3427 [them]; They will also plant 5193 vineyards 3754 and eat 398 their fruit 6529.

 65:22 “They will not build 1129 and another 312 inhabit 3427, They will not plant 5193 and another 312 eat 398; For as the lifetime 3117 of a tree 6086, [so will be] the days 3117 of My people 5971a, And My chosen 972 ones 972 will wear 1086 out the work 4639 of their hands 3027.

 65:23 “They will not labor 3021 in vain 7385b, Or bear 3205 [children] for calamity 928; For they are the offspring 2233 of those blessed 1288 by the LORD 3068, And their descendants 6631 with them.

 65:24 “It will also come 1961 to pass 1961 that before 2962 they call 7121, I will answer 6030a; and while they are still 5750 speaking 1696, I will hear 8085.

 65:25 “The wolf 2061 and the lamb 2924 will graze 7462a together 259, and the lion 743b will eat 398 straw 8401 like the ox 1241; and dust 6083 will be the serpent’s 5175 food 3899. They will do 7489a no 3808 evil 7489a or harm 7843 in all 3605 My holy 6944 mountain 2022,” says 559 the LORD 3068.
