Isaiah 2

1 Isaiah prophesieth the coming of Christ's Kingdom. 6 Wickedness is the cause of God's forsaking. 10 He exhorteth to fear, because of the powerful effects of God's majesty.

 2:3 And many 7227a peoples 5971a will come 1980 and say 559, “Come 1980, let us go 5927 up to the mountain 2022 of the LORD 3068, To the house 1004 of the God 430 of Jacob 3290; That He may teach 3384 us concerning 4480 His ways 1870 And that we may walk 1980 in His paths 734.” For the law 8451 will go 3318 forth 3318 from Zion 6726 And the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 from Jerusalem 3389.

 2:4 And He will judge 8199 between 996 the nations 1471, And will render 3198 decisions 3198 for many 7227a peoples 5971a; And they will hammer 3807 their swords 2719 into plowshares 855a and their spears 2595 into pruning 4211 hooks 4211. Nation 1471 will not lift 5375 up sword 2719 against 413 nation 1471, And never 3808 again 5750 will they learn 3925 war 4421.

 2:5 ¶ Come 1980, house 1004 of Jacob 3290, and let us walk 1980 in the light 216 of the LORD 3068.

 2:6 For You have abandoned 5203 Your people 5971a, the house 1004 of Jacob 3290, Because 3588 they are filled 4390 [with influences] from the east 6924a, And [they are] soothsayers 6049a like the Philistines 6430, And they strike 5606 [bargains] with the children 3206 of foreigners 5237.

 2:11 The proud 1365 look 5869 of man 120 will be abased 8213 And the loftiness 7312 of man 376 will be humbled 7817, And the LORD 3068 alone 905 will be exalted 7682 in that day 3117.

 2:12 ¶ For the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635 will have a day 3117 [of reckoning] Against 5921 everyone 3605 who 1343 is proud 1343 and lofty 7311 And against 5921 everyone 3605 who is lifted 5375 up, That he may be abased 8213.

 2:13 And [it will be] against 5921 all 3605 the cedars 730 of Lebanon 3844 that are lofty 7311 and lifted 5375 up, Against 5921 all 3605 the oaks 437 of Bashan 1316,

 2:14 Against 5921 all 3605 the lofty 7311 mountains 2022, Against 5921 all 3605 the hills 1389 that are lifted 5375 up,

 2:15 Against 5921 every 3605 high 1364 tower 4026, Against 5921 every 3605 fortified 1219 wall 2346,

 2:16 Against 5921 all 3605 the ships 591 of Tarshish 8659 And against 5921 all 3605 the beautiful 2532 craft 7914b.

 2:17 The pride 1365 of man 120 will be humbled 7817 And the loftiness 7312 of men 376 will be abased 8213; And the LORD 3068 alone 905 will be exalted 7682 in that day 3117,

 2:18 But the idols 457 will completely 3632 vanish 2498.

 2:19 [Men] will go 935 into caves 4631 of the rocks 6697 And into holes 4247 of the ground 6083 Before 4480 6440 the terror 6343 of the LORD 3068 And the splendor 1926 of His majesty 1347b, When He arises 6965 to make 6206 the earth 776 tremble 6206.

 2:20 In that day 3117 men 120 will cast 7993 away 7993 to the moles 2663c and the bats 5847 Their idols 457 of silver 3701 and their idols 457 of gold 2091, Which 834 they made 6213a for themselves to worship 7812,

 2:21 In order to go 935 into the caverns 5366 of the rocks 6697 and the clefts 5585 of the cliffs 5553 Before 4480 6440 the terror 6343 of the LORD 3068 and the splendor 1926 of His majesty 1347b, When He arises 6965 to make 6206 the earth 776 tremble 6206.
