Isaiah 29

1 God's heavy judgment upon Jerusalem. 7 The unsatiableness of her enemies. 9 The senselessness, 13 and deep hypocrisy of the Jews. 18 A promise of sanctification to the godly.

Your voice 6963 will also be like that of a spirit 178 from the ground 776, And your speech 565a will whisper 6850 from the dust 6083.

 29:5 ¶ But the multitude 1995 of your enemies 2114a will become 1961 like fine 1851 dust 80, And the multitude 1995 of the ruthless 6184 ones 6184 like the chaff 4671b which blows 5674a away 5674a; And it will happen 1961 instantly 6621, suddenly 6597.

 29:6 From the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635 you will be punished 6485 with thunder 7482 and earthquake 7494 and loud 1419 noise 6963, [With] whirlwind 5492a and tempest 5591b and the flame 3851 of a consuming 398 fire 784.

 29:7 And the multitude 1995 of all 3605 the nations 1471 who wage 6633 war 6633 against 5921 Ariel 740, Even all 3605 who wage 6633 war 6633 against her and her stronghold 4685d, and who distress 6693 her, Will be like a dream 2472, a vision 2377 of the night 3915.

 29:9 ¶ Be delayed 4102 and wait 8539, Blind 8173a yourselves and be blind 8173a; They become 7937 drunk 7937, but not with wine 3196, They stagger 5128, but not with strong 7941 drink 7941.

 29:10 For the LORD 3068 has poured 5258a over 5921 you a spirit 7307 of deep 8639 sleep 8639, He has shut 6105b your eyes 5869, the prophets 5030; And He has covered 3680 your heads 7218, the seers 2374.

 29:15 ¶ Woe 1945 to those who deeply 6009 hide 5641 their plans 6098 from the LORD 3068, And whose deeds 4639 are [done] in a dark 4285 place 4285, And they say 559, “Who 4310 sees 7200 us?” or “Who 4310 knows 3045 us?”

 29:16 You turn 2016 [things] around 2016! Shall the potter 3335 be considered 2803 as equal with the clay 2563a, That what 4639 is made 4639 would say 559 to its maker 6213a, “He did not make 6213a me”; Or what 3336 is formed 3335 say 559 to him who formed 3335 it, “He has no 3808 understanding 995”?

 29:22 ¶ Therefore 3651 thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, who 834 redeemed 6299 Abraham 85, concerning 413 the house 1004 of Jacob 3290: “Jacob 3290 shall not now 6258 be ashamed 954, nor 3808 shall his face 6440 now 6258 turn 2357 pale 2357;
