Isaiah 34

1 The judgments wherewith God revengeth his Church. 11 The desolation of her enemies. 16 The certainty of the prophecy.

 34:1 Draw 7126 near 7126, O nations 1471, to hear 8085; and listen 7181, O peoples 3816! Let the earth 776 and all it contains 4393 hear 8085, and the world 8398 and all 3605 that springs 6631 from it.

 34:2 For the LORD’S 3068 indignation 7110a is against 5921 all 3605 the nations 1471, And [His] wrath 2534 against 5921 all 3605 their armies 6635; He has utterly 2763a destroyed 2763a them, He has given 5414 them over to slaughter 2874.

 34:3 So their slain 2491a will be thrown 7993 out, And their corpses 6297 will give 5927 off 5927 their stench 889, And the mountains 2022 will be drenched 4549 with their blood 1818.

 34:4 And all 3605 the host 6635 of heaven 8064 will wear 4743 away 4743, And the sky 8064 will be rolled 1556 up like a scroll 5612; All 3605 their hosts 6635 will also wither 5034b away 5034b As a leaf 5929 withers 5034b from the vine 1612, Or as [one] withers 5034b from the fig 8384 tree 8384.

 34:5 For My sword 2719 is satiated 7301 in heaven 8064, Behold 2009 it shall descend 3381 for judgment 4941 upon Edom 112b And upon the people 5971a whom I have devoted 2764a to destruction 4941.

 34:6 The sword 2719 of the LORD 3068 is filled 4390 with blood 1818, It is sated 1878 with fat 2459, with the blood 1818 of lambs 3733c and goats 6260, With the fat 2459 of the kidneys 3629 of rams 352a. For the LORD 3068 has a sacrifice 2077 in Bozrah 1224a And a great 1419 slaughter 2874 in the land 776 of Edom 112b.

 34:7 Wild 7214 oxen 7214 will also fall 3381 with them And young 6499 bulls 6499 with strong 47 ones 47; Thus their land 776 will be soaked 7301 with blood 1818, And their dust 6083 become 1878 greasy 1878 with fat 2459.

 34:8 For the LORD 3068 has a day 3117 of vengeance 5359, A year 8141 of recompense 7966 for the cause 7379 of Zion 6726.

 34:9 Its streams 5158a will be turned 2015 into pitch 2203a, And its loose 6083 earth 6083 into brimstone 1614, And its land 776 will become 1961 burning 1197a pitch 2203a.

 34:10 It will not be quenched 3518 night 3915 or day 3119; Its smoke 6227 will go 5927 up forever 5769. From generation 1755 to generation 1755 it will be desolate 2717b; None 369 will pass 5674a through it forever 5331 and ever 5331.

 34:11 But pelican 6893 and hedgehog 7090 will possess 3423 it, And owl 3244 and raven 6158 will dwell 7931 in it; And He will stretch 5186 over 5921 it the line 6957b of desolation 8414 And the plumb 68 line 68 of emptiness 922.

 34:13 Thorns 5518b will come 5927 up in its fortified 4013 towers 759, Nettles 7057 and thistles 2336 in its fortified 4013 cities 4013; It will also be a haunt 5116a of jackals 8565 [And] an abode 2681 of ostriches 3284.

 34:14 The desert 6716b creatures 6716b will meet 6298 with the wolves 338, The hairy 8163a goat 8163b also will cry 7121 to its kind 7453; Yes 389, the night 3917a monster 3917a will settle 7280b there 8033 And will find 4672 herself a resting 4494 place 4494.

 34:15 The tree 7091 snake 7091 will make 7077 its nest 7077 and lay 4422 [eggs] there 8033, And it will hatch 1234 and gather 1716 [them] under its protection 6738. Yes 389, the hawks 1772 will be gathered 6908 there 8033, Every 802 one 376 with its kind 7468.

 34:16 ¶ Seek 1875 from the book 5612 of the LORD 3068, and read 7121: Not one 259 of these 2007 will be missing 5737c; None 802 3808 will lack 6485 its mate 7468. For His mouth 6310 has commanded 6680, And His Spirit 7307 has gathered 6908 them.

 34:17 He has cast 5307 the lot 1486 for them, And His hand 3027 has divided 2505a it to them by line 6957b. They shall possess 3423 it forever 5704 5769; From generation 1755 to generation 1755 they will dwell 7931 in it.
