Isaiah 50

1 Christ sheweth that the dereliction of the Jews is not to be imputed to him, by his ability to save, 5 by his obedience in that work, 7 and by his confidence in that assistance. 10 An exhortation to trust in God, and not in ourselves.

 50:1 Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, “Where 335 is the certificate 5612 of divorce 3748 By which 834 I have sent 7971 your mother 517 away 7971? Or 176 to whom 4310 of My creditors 5383 did I sell 4376 you? Behold 2005, you were sold 4376 for your iniquities 5771, And for your transgressions 6588 your mother 517 was sent 7971 away 7971.

 50:2 “Why 4069 was there 369 no 369 man 376 when I came 935? When I called 7121, [why] was there 369 none 369 to answer 6030a? Is My hand 3027 so 4480 short 7114a that it cannot 4480 ransom 6304? Or 518 have 369 I no 369 power 3581b to deliver 5337? Behold 2005, I dry 2717a up the sea 3220 with My rebuke 1606, I make 7760 the rivers 5104 a wilderness 4057b; Their fish 1710 stink 887 for lack 369 of water 4325 And die 4191 of thirst 6772.

 50:3 “I clothe 3847 the heavens 8064 with blackness 6940 And make 7760 sackcloth 8242 their covering 3682.”

 50:4 ¶ The Lord 136 GOD 3068 has given 5414 Me the tongue 3956 of disciples 3928, That I may know 3045 how to sustain 5790 the weary 3287 one 3287 with a word 1697. He awakens 5782 [Me] morning 1242 by morning 1242, He awakens 5782 My ear 241 to listen 8085 as a disciple 3928.

 50:5 The Lord 136 GOD 3068 has opened 6605a My ear 241; And I was not disobedient 4784 Nor 3808 did I turn 5472 back 268.

 50:6 I gave 5414 My back 1460a to those who strike 5221 [Me], And My cheeks 3895 to those who pluck 4803 out the beard 4803; I did not cover 5641 My face 6440 from humiliation 3639 and spitting 7536.

 50:7 For the Lord 136 GOD 3068 helps 5826 Me, Therefore 5921 3651, I am not disgraced 3637; Therefore 5921 3651, I have set 7760 My face 6440 like flint 2496, And I know 3045 that I will not be ashamed 954.

 50:8 He who vindicates 6663 Me is near 7138; Who 4310 will contend 7378 with Me? Let us stand 5975 up to each 3162 other 3162; Who 4310 has a case 1167 4941 against Me? Let him draw 5066 near 5066 to Me.

 50:9 Behold 2005, the Lord 136 GOD 3068 helps 5826 Me; Who 4310 is he who condemns 7561 Me? Behold 2005, they will all 3605 wear 1086 out like a garment 899b; The moth 6211 will eat 398 them.

 50:10 Who 4310 is among you that fears 3372a the LORD 3068, That obeys 8085 the voice 6963 of His servant 5650, That walks 1980 in darkness 2825 and has 369 no 369 light 5051? Let him trust 982 in the name 8034 of the LORD 3068 and rely 8172 on his God 430.

 50:11 Behold 2005, all 3605 you who kindle 6919 a fire 784, Who encircle 247 yourselves with firebrands 2131, Walk 1980 in the light 217 of your fire 784 And among the brands 2131 you have set 1197a ablaze 1197a. This 384 you will have 1961 from My hand 3027: You will lie 7901 down 7901 in torment 4620.
