Isaiah 39

1 Merodach-baladan, sending to visit Hezekiah because of the wonder, hath notice of his treasures. 3 Isaiah, understanding thereof, foretelleth the Babylonian captivity.

 39:1 At that time 6256 Merodach-baladan 4757 son 1121 of Baladan 1081, king 4428 of Babylon 894, sent 7971 letters 5612 and a present 4503 to Hezekiah 2396, for he heard 8085 that he had been 2470a sick 2470a and had recovered 2388.

 39:2 Hezekiah 2396 was pleased 8055 5921, and showed 7200 them [all] his treasure 5238 house 1004, the silver 3701 and the gold 2091 and the spices 1314 and the precious 2896a oil 8081 and his whole 3605 armory 1004 3627 and all 3605 that was found 4672 in his treasuries 214. There was nothing 3808 1697 in his house 1004 nor in all 3605 his dominion 4475 that Hezekiah 2396 did not show 7200 them.

 39:3 Then Isaiah 3470b the prophet 5030 came 935 to King 4428 Hezekiah 2396 and said 559 to him, “What 4100 did these 428 men 376 say 559, and from where 370 have they come 935 to you?” And Hezekiah 2396 said 559, “They have come 935 to me from a far 7350 country 776, from Babylon 894.”

 39:4 He said 559, “What 4100 have they seen 7200 in your house 1004?” So Hezekiah 2396 answered 559, “They have seen 7200 all 3605 that is in my house 1004; there is nothing 3808 1697 among my treasuries 214 that I have not shown 7200 them.”

 39:5 ¶ Then Isaiah 3470b said 559 to Hezekiah 2396, “Hear 8085 the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635,

 39:6 ‘Behold 2009, the days 3117 are coming 935 when all 3605 that is in your house 1004 and all that your fathers 1 have laid 686 up in store 686 to this 2088 day 3117 will be carried 5375 to Babylon 894; nothing 3808 1697 will be left 3498,’ says 559 the LORD 3068.

 39:7 ‘And [some] of your sons 1121 who 834 will issue 3318 from you, whom 834 you will beget 3205, will be taken 3947 away, and they will become 1961 officials 5631 in the palace 1964 of the king 4428 of Babylon 894.’”

 39:8 Then Hezekiah 2396 said 559 to Isaiah 3470b, “The word 1697 of the LORD 3068 which 834 you have spoken 1696 is good 2896a.” For he thought 559, “For there will be peace 7965 and truth 571 in my days 3117.”
