Isaiah 64

1 The Church prayeth for the illustration of God's power. 5 Celebrating God's mercy, it maketh confession of their natural corruptions. 9 It complaineth of their affliction.

 64:1 Oh 3863, that You would rend 7167 the heavens 8064 [and] come 3381 down 3381, That the mountains 2022 might quake 2151a at Your presence 6440—

 64:2 As fire 784 kindles 6919 the brushwood 2003, [as] fire 784 causes water 4325 to boil 1158— To make 3045 Your name 8034 known 3045 to Your adversaries 6862c, [That] the nations 1471 may tremble 7264 at Your presence 6440!

 64:3 When You did 6213a awesome 3372a things 3372a which we did not expect 6960a, You came 3381 down 3381, the mountains 2022 quaked 2151a at Your presence 6440.

 64:4 For from days 5769 of old 5769 they have not heard 8085 or 3808 perceived 238 by ear 238, Nor 408 has the eye 5869 seen 7200 a God 430 besides 2108 You, Who acts 6213a in behalf of the one who waits 2442 for Him.

 64:5 You meet 6293 him who rejoices 7797 in doing 6213a righteousness 6664, Who remembers 2142 You in Your ways 1870. Behold 2005, You were angry 7107, for we sinned 2398, [We continued] in them a long 5769 time 5769; And shall we be saved 3467?

 64:6 For all 3605 of us have become 1961 like one who is unclean 2931, And all 3605 our righteous 6666 deeds 6666 are like a filthy 5713c garment 899b; And all 3605 of us wither 5034b like a leaf 5929, And our iniquities 5771, like the wind 7307, take 5375 us away.

 64:7 There 369 is no 369 one 369 who calls 7121 on Your name 8034, Who arouses 5782 himself to take 2388 hold 2388 of You; For You have hidden 5641 Your face 6440 from us And have delivered 4042 us into the power 3027 of our iniquities 5771.

 64:8 ¶ But now 6258, O LORD 3068, You are our Father 1, We are the clay 2563a, and You our potter 3335; And all 3605 of us are the work 4639 of Your hand 3027.

 64:9 Do not be angry 7107 beyond 5704 measure 3966, O LORD 3068, Nor 1755 remember 2142 iniquity 5771 forever 5703; Behold 2005, look 5027 now 4994, all 3605 of us are Your people 5971a.

 64:10 Your holy 6944 cities 5892b have become 1961 a wilderness 4057b, Zion 6726 has become 1961 a wilderness 4057b, Jerusalem 3389 a desolation 8077.

 64:11 Our holy 6944 and beautiful 8597 house 1004, Where 834 our fathers 1 praised 1984b You, Has been 1961 burned 8316 [by] fire 784; And all 3605 our precious 4261 things 4261 have become 1961 a ruin 2723.

 64:12 Will You restrain 662 Yourself at these 428 things 428, O LORD 3068? Will You keep 2814 silent 2814 and afflict 6031a us beyond 5704 measure 3966?
