Isaiah 54

1 The prophet, for the comfort of the Gentiles, prophesieth the amplitude of their Church, 4 their safety, 6 their certain deliverance out of affliction, 11 their fair edification, 15 and their sure preservation.

 54:1 “Shout 7442 for joy 7442, O barren 6135 one 6135, you who have borne 3205 no 3808 [child]; Break 6476 forth 6476 into joyful 7440 shouting 7440 and cry 6670a aloud 6670a, you who have not travailed 2342a; For the sons 1121 of the desolate 8074 one [will be] more 4480 numerous 7227a Than 4480 the sons 1121 of the married 1166 woman,” says 559 the LORD 3068.

 54:2 “Enlarge 7337 the place 4725 of your tent 168; Stretch 5186 out the curtains 3407 of your dwellings 4908, spare 2820 not; Lengthen 748 your cords 4340 And strengthen 2388 your pegs 3489.

 54:3 “For you will spread 6555 abroad 6555 to the right 3225 and to the left 8040. And your descendants 2233 will possess 3423 nations 1471 And will resettle 3427 the desolate 8074 cities 5892b.

 54:4 ¶ “Fear 3372a not, for you will not be put 954 to shame 954; And do not feel 3637 humiliated 3637, for you will not be disgraced 2659; But you will forget 7911 the shame 1322 of your youth 5934, And the reproach 2781 of your widowhood 491 you will remember 2142 no 3808 more 5750.

 54:5 “For your husband 1166 is your Maker 6213a, Whose name 8034 is the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635; And your Redeemer 1350 is the Holy 6918 One 6918 of Israel 3478, Who is called 7121 the God 430 of all 3605 the earth 776.

 54:6 “For the LORD 3068 has called 7121 you, Like a wife 802 forsaken 5800a and grieved 6087a in spirit 7307, Even like a wife 802 of [one’s] youth 5271 when 3588 she is rejected 3988a,” Says 559 your God 430.

 54:7 “For a brief 6996b moment 7281 I forsook 5800a you, But with great 1419 compassion 7356 I will gather 6908 you.

 54:8 “In an outburst 7858 of anger 7110a I hid 5641 My face 6440 from you for a moment 7281, But with everlasting 5769 lovingkindness 2617a I will have 7355 compassion 7355 on you,” Says 559 the LORD 3068 your Redeemer 1350.

 54:9 ¶ “For this 384 is like the days 3117 of Noah 5146 to Me, When 834 I swore 7650 that the waters 4325 of Noah 5146 Would not flood 5674a the earth 776 again 5750; So 3651 I have sworn 7650 that I will not be angry 7107 with you Nor 4480 will I rebuke 1605 you.

 54:10 “For the mountains 2022 may be removed 4185 and the hills 1389 may shake 4131, But My lovingkindness 2617a will not be removed 4185 from you, And My covenant 1285 of peace 7965 will not be shaken 4131,” Says 559 the LORD 3068 who has 7355 compassion 7355 on you.

 54:11 ¶ “O afflicted 6041 one 6041, storm-tossed 5590, [and] not comforted 5162, Behold 2009, I will set 7257 your stones 68 in antimony 6320, And your foundations 3245 I will lay 3245 in sapphires 5601.

 54:12 “Moreover, I will make 7760 your battlements 8121 of rubies 3539, And your gates 8179 of crystal 688, And your entire 3605 wall 1366 of precious 2656 stones 68.

 54:13 “All 3605 your sons 1121 will be taught 3928 of the LORD 3068; And the well-being 7965 of your sons 1121 will be great 7227a.

 54:14 “In righteousness 6666 you will be established 3559; You will be far 7368 from oppression 6233, for you will not fear 3372a; And from terror 4288, for it will not come 7126 near 7126 you.

 54:15 “If 2005 anyone fiercely 1481b assails 1481b [you] it will not be from Me. Whoever 4310 assails 1481b you will fall 5307 because 5921 of you.

 54:16 “Behold 2005, I Myself 595 have created 1254a the smith 2796 who blows 5301 the fire 784 of coals 6352 And brings 3318 out a weapon 3627 for its work 4639; And I have created 1254a the destroyer 7843 to ruin 2254b.

 54:17 “No 3605 3808 weapon 3627 that is formed 3335 against 5921 you will prosper 6743b; And every 3605 tongue 3956 that accuses 6965 you in judgment 4941 you will condemn 7561. This 384 is the heritage 5159 of the servants 5650 of the LORD 3068, And their vindication 6666 is from Me,” declares 5002 the LORD 3068.
