54:1 ¶
Sing, O barren, thou [that] didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou [that] didst not travail with child: for more [are] the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith Yahweh. |

the placeº
of thy tent,º
and let them stretch forthºº
the curtainsº
of thine habitations:º
spareºº
not,º
lengthenºº
thy cords,º
and strengthenºº
thy stakes;º |

Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; |

thou shalt break forthºº
on the right handº
and on the left;º
and thy seedº
shall inheritºº
the Gentiles,º
and make the desolateºº
citiesº
to be inhabited.ºº |

For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. |

thou shalt notº
be ashamed:ºº
neitherº
be thou confounded;ºº
forº
thou shalt notº
be put to shame:ºº
forº
thou shalt forgetºº
the shameº
of thy youth,º
and shalt notº
rememberºº
the reproachº
of thy widowhoodº

Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. |

For thy Maker [is] thine husband; Yahweh Tzevaoth [is] his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Yisrael; The Elohim of the whole earth shall he be called. |

hath calledºº
thee as a womanº
forsakenºº
and grievedºº
in spirit,º
and a wifeº
of youth,º
whenº
thou wast refused,ºº
saithºº
thy
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.º |

For Yahweh hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy Elohim. |

For a smallº
momentº
have I forsakenºº
thee; but with greatº
merciesº
will I gatherºº
thee. |

54:7
For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. |
|
54:8
In a littleº
wrathº
I hidºº
my faceº
fromº
thee for a moment;º
but with everlastingº
kindnessº
will I have mercyºº
on thee, saithºº

thy Redeemer.ºº |

In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith Yahweh thy Redeemer. |

unto me: forº
[as] I have swornºº
that the watersº
of
Nöåç
נֹחַº
should no moreº
goºº
overººº
the earth;º
soº
have I swornºº
that I would not be wrothººº

thee, nor rebukeººº
thee. |

For this [is as] the waters of Noach unto me: for [as] I have sworn that the waters of Noach should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. |

54:10
Forº
the mountainsº
shall depart,ºº
and the hillsº
be removed;ºº
but my kindnessº
shall notº
departºº
fromºº
thee, neitherº
shall the covenantº
of my peaceº
be removed,ºº
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
that hath mercyºº
on thee. |

54:10
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith Yahweh that hath mercy on thee. |

54:11 ¶
O thou afflicted,º
tossed with tempest,ºº
[and] notº
comforted,ºº
behold,º
Iº
will layºº
thy stonesº
with fair colours,º
and lay thy foundationsºº
with sapphires.º |
|
54:11 ¶
O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, [and] not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. |
|
54:12
And I will makeºº
thy windowsº
of agates,º
and thy gatesº
of carbuncles,ºº
and allº
thy bordersº
of pleasantº
stones.º |

54:12
And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. |
|
54:13
And allº
thy childrenº
[shall be] taughtº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה;º
and greatº
[shall be] the peaceº
of thy children.º |
|
54:13
And all thy children [shall be] taught of Yahweh; and great [shall be] the peace of thy children. |
|
54:14
In righteousnessº
shalt thou be established:ºº
thou shalt be farºº
from oppression;ºº
forº
thou shalt notº
fear:ºº
and from terror;ºº
forº
it shall notº
come nearººº
thee. |

54:14
In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. |

54:15
Behold,º
they shall surelyºº
gather together,ºº
[but] notº
byºº
me: whosoeverº
shall gather togetherºº
againstº
thee shall fallºº
forº
thy sake. |
|
54:15
Behold, they shall surely gather together, [but] not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. |

54:16
Behold,º
Iº
have createdºº
the smithº
that blowethºº
the coalsº
in the fire,º
and that bringeth forthºº
an instrumentº
for his work;º
and Iº
have createdºº
the wasterºº
to destroy.ºº |

54:16
Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. |

weaponº
that is formedºº
againstº
thee shall prosper;ºº
and everyº
tongueº
[that] shall riseºº
againstº
thee in judgmentº
thou shalt condemn.ºº
Thisº
[is] the heritageº
of the servantsº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
and their righteousnessº
[is] ofºº
me, saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

54:17 ¶
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of Yahweh, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith Yahweh. |
