Woe to the rebellious children, saith Yahweh, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: |

30:2
That walkºº
to go downºº
into
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם,º
and have notº
askedºº
at my mouth;º
to strengthenºº
themselves in the strengthº
of
Par`ò
פַּרעֹה,º
and to trustºº
in the shadowº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם!º |

30:2
That walk to go down into Mitzrayim, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Paroh, and to trust in the shadow of Mitzrayim! |

30:3
Therefore shall the strengthº
of
Par`ò
פַּרעֹהº
beº
your shame,º
and the trustº
in the shadowº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִםº
[your] confusion.º |

30:3
Therefore shall the strength of Paroh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Mitzrayim [your] confusion. |

For his princes were at Tzoan, and his ambassadors came to Chanes. |

They were allº
ashamedººº

a peopleº
[that] could notº
profitºº
them, norº
be an helpº
norº
profit,ºº
butº
a shame,º
and alsoº
a reproach.º |

30:5
They were all ashamed of a people [that] could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach. |
|
30:6
The burdenº
of the beastsº
of the south:º
into the landº
of troubleº
and anguish,º
fromº
whence [come] the youngº
and old lion,º
the viperº
and fieryºº
flyingºº
serpent,ºº
they will carryºº
their richesº
uponº
the shouldersº
of young asses,º
and their treasuresº
uponº
the bunchesº
of camels,º
toº
a peopleº
[that] shall notº
profitºº
[them]. |

The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence [come] the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people [that] shall not profit [them]. |

30:7
For the

[is] to sit still.º |

For the Mitzrim shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength [is] to sit still. |

a table,º

it inº
a book,º
that it may beº
for the timeº
to comeº
forº
everº
and ever:ºº |

Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: |

[is] a rebelliousº
people,º
lyingº
children,º

the lawº

That this [is] a rebellious people, lying children, children [that] will not hear the law of Yahweh: |

30:10
Whichº
sayºº
to the seers,ºº
Seeºº
not;º
and to the prophets,º
Prophesyºº
notº
unto us right things,º
speakºº
unto us smooth things,º
prophesyºº
deceits:º |

Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: |

you outºº

the way,º
turn asideºº
out ofº
the path,º
causeº
the Holy Oneº
of

יִשׂרָאֵלº
to ceaseºº
from beforeºº
us. |

Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Yisrael to cease from before us. |
|
30:12
Whereforeº
thusº
saithºº
the Holy Oneº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,º
Becauseº
ye despiseºº
thisº
word,º
and trustºº
in oppressionº
and perverseness,ºº
and stayºº
thereon:º |

30:12
Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Yisrael, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: |

30:13
Thereforeº
thisº
iniquityº
shall beº
to you as a breachº
ready to fall,ºº
swelling outºº
in a highºº
wall,º
whoseº
breakingº
comethºº
suddenlyº
at an instant.º |
|
30:13
Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant. |
|
30:14
And he shall breakºº
it as the breakingº
of the potters'ºº
vesselº
that is broken in pieces;ºº
he shall notº
spare:ºº
so that there shall notº
be foundºº
in the burstingº
of it a sherdº
to takeºº
fireº
from the hearth,ººº
or to takeºº
waterº
[withal] out of the pit.ºº |

30:14
And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water [withal] out of the pit. |

In returningº
and restº
shall ye be saved;ºº

and in confidenceº

your strength:º
and ye wouldºº

For thus saith Adonay Yahweh, the Holy One of Yisrael; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not. |

30:16
But ye said,ºº
No;º
forº
we will fleeºº
uponº
horses;º
thereforeºº
shall ye flee:ºº
and, We will rideºº
uponº
the swift;º
thereforeºº
shall they that pursueºº
you be swift.ºº |

30:16
But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift. |

30:17

shall ye flee:ºº

as a beaconº

the topº
of a mountain,º

One thousand [shall flee] at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill. |

30:18 ¶
And thereforeº
will

יָהוֶהº
wait,ºº
that he may be graciousºº
unto you, and thereforeº
will he be exalted,ºº
that he may have mercyºº
upon you: forº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
[is] an
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִיםº
of judgment:º
blessedº
[are] allº
they that waitºº
for him. |

30:18 ¶
And therefore will Yahweh wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for Yahweh [is] an Elohim of judgment: blessed [are] all they that wait for him. |

יְרוּשָׁלִַם:º
thou shalt weepºº
no more:ººº
he will be veryºº
graciousºº
unto thee at the voiceº
of thy cry;ºº
when he shall hearºº
it, he will answerºº

For the people shall dwell in Tziyyon at Yerushalaim: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee. |

30:20
And [though]

you the breadº
of adversity,º
and the waterº
of affliction,º
yet shall notº
thy teachersºº
be removed into a cornerºº
any more,º
but thine eyesº
shallº
seeººº
thy teachers:ºº |

And [though] Yahweh give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: |

30:21
And thine earsº
shall hearºº
a wordº
behindºº
thee, saying,ºº
Thisº
[is] the way,º
walkº
ye in it,ºº
whenº
ye turn to the right hand,ºº
and whenº
ye turn to the left.ºº |

30:21
And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This [is] the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. |

30:22
Ye shall defileºº
alsoº
the coveringº
of thy graven imagesº
of silver,º
and the ornamentº
of thy molten imagesº
of gold:º
thou shalt cast them awayºº
asº
a menstruous cloth;º
thou shalt sayºº
unto it, Get thee hence.ºº |

Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence. |

30:23
Then shall he giveºº
the rainº
of thy seed,º
thatº
thou shalt sowººº
the groundº
withal; and breadº
of the increaseº
of the earth,º
and it shall beº
fatº
and plenteous:º
in thatº
dayº
shall thy cattleº
feedºº
in largeºº
pastures.º |

Then shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures. |

30:24
The oxenº
likewise and the young assesº
that earºº
the groundº
shall eatºº
cleanº
provender,º
whichº
hath been winnowedºº
with the shovelº
and with the fan.º |

30:24
The oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan. |
|
30:25
And there shall beº
uponº
everyº
highº
mountain,º
and uponº
everyº
highºº
hill,º
riversº
[and] streamsº
of watersº
in the dayº
of the greatº
slaughter,º
when the towersº
fall.ºº |

30:25
And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers [and] streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall. |

30:26
Moreover the lightº
of the moonº
shall beº
as the lightº
of the sun,º
and the lightº
of the sunº
shall beº
sevenfold,º
as the lightº
of sevenº
days,º
in the dayº
that
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
bindeth upººº
the breachº
of his people,º
and healethºº
the strokeº
of their wound.º |

30:26
Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that Yahweh bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound. |

30:27 ¶
Behold,º
the nameº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
comethºº
from far,ºº
burningºº
[with] his anger,º
and the burdenº
[thereof is] heavy:º
his lipsº
are fullºº
of indignation,º
and his tongueº
as a devouringºº
fire:º |

30:27 ¶
Behold, the name of Yahweh cometh from far, burning [with] his anger, and the burden [thereof is] heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire: |
|
30:28
And his breath,º
as an overflowingºº
stream,º
shall reach to the midstºº
ofº
the neck,º
to siftºº
the nationsº
with the sieveº
of vanity:º
and [there shall be] a bridleº
inº
the jawsº
of the people,º
causing [them] to err.ºº |
|
30:28
And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and [there shall be] a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing [them] to err. |
|
30:29
Ye shall haveº
a song,º
as in the nightº
[when] a holyºº
solemnityº
is kept;ººº
and gladnessº
of heart,º
as when one goethºº
with a pipeº
to comeºº
into the mountainº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
toº
the mighty Oneº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.º |

Ye shall have a song, as in the night [when] a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of Yahweh, to the mighty One of Yisrael. |
|
30:30
And
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
shall causeº
his gloriousº
voiceº
to be heard,ºº
and shall shewºº
the lighting downº
of his arm,º
with the indignationº
of [his] anger,º
and [with] the flameº
of a devouringºº
fire,º
[with] scattering,º
and tempest,º
and hailstones.ºº |

And Yahweh shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of [his] anger, and [with] the flame of a devouring fire, [with] scattering, and tempest, and hailstones. |

through the voiceºº
of

יָהוֶהº
shall the
´Aššûr
אַשּׁוּרº
be beaten down,ºº
[which] smoteºº
with a rod.º |

30:31
For through the voice of Yahweh shall the Ashshur be beaten down, [which] smote with a rod. |

30:32
And [in] every placeº
where the groundedº
staffº
shall pass,º
whichº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
shall layºº
uponº
him, [it] shall beº
with tabretsº
and harps:º
and in battlesº
of shakingº
will he fightºº
with it. |

And [in] every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which Yahweh shall lay upon him, [it] shall be with tabrets and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it. |

for the kingº
itº
is prepared;ºº
he hath made [it] deepºº
[and] large:ºº
the pileº
thereof [is] fireº
and muchºº
wood;º
the breathº

יָהוֶה,º
like a streamº
of brimstone,º
doth kindleºº
it. |

30:33
For Tofeth [is] ordained of old; yea, for the king it is prepared; he hath made [it] deep [and] large: the pile thereof [is] fire and much wood; the breath of Yahweh, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it. |
