leviathanº
the piercingº
serpent,º
even leviathanº
that crookedº
serpent;º
and he shall slayººº
the dragonº
thatº
[is] in the sea.º |

27:1 ¶
In that day Yahweh with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that [is] in the sea. |

ye unto her, A vineyardº
of red wine.ººº |
|

In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine. |

Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
do keepºº
it; I will waterºº
it every moment:º
lestº
[any] hurtººº
it, I will keepºº
it nightº
and day.º |

I Yahweh do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest [any] hurt it, I will keep it night and day. |

Furyº
[is] notº
in me: whoº
would setºº
the briersº
[and] thornsº
against me in battle?º
I would goºº
through them, I would burnºº
them together.º |
|
27:4
Fury [is] not in me: who would set the briers [and] thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together. |
|
27:5
Orº
let him take holdºº
of my strength,º
[that] he may makeºº
peaceº
with me; [and] he shall makeºº
peaceº
with me. |
|
27:5
Or let him take hold of my strength, [that] he may make peace with me; [and] he shall make peace with me. |
|
27:6
He shall cause them that comeºº
of
Ya`áköv
יַעֲקֹבº
to take root:ºº
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
shall blossomºº
and bud,ºº
and fillºº
the faceº
of the worldº
with fruit.º |

27:6
He shall cause them that come of Yaaqov to take root: Yisrael shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit. |
|
27:7 ¶
Hath he smittenºº
him, as he smoteº
those that smoteºº
him? [or] is he slainºº
according to the slaughterº
of them that are slainºº
by him? |
|
27:7 ¶
Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? [or] is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him? |

In measure,º
when it shooteth forth,ºº
thou wilt debateºº
with it: he stayethºº
his roughº
windº
in the dayº
of the east wind.º |
|
27:8
In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind. |
|
27:9
By thisº
thereforeº
shall the iniquityº
of
Ya`áköv
יַעֲקֹבº
be purged;ºº
and thisº
[is] allº
the fruitº
to take awayºº
his sin;º
when he makethºº
allº
the stonesº
of the altarº
as chalkstonesºº
that are beaten in sunder,ºº
the grovesº
and imagesº
shall notº
stand up.ºº |

By this therefore shall the iniquity of Yaaqov be purged; and this [is] all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up. |

Yetº
the defencedºº
cityº
[shall be] desolate,º
[and] the habitationº
forsaken,ºº
and leftºº
like a wilderness:º
thereº
shall the calfº
feed,ºº
and thereº
shall he lie down,ºº
and consumeºº
the branchesº
thereof. |

27:10
Yet the defenced city [shall be] desolate, [and] the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof. |
|
27:11
When the boughsº
thereof are withered,ºº
they shall be broken off:ºº
the womenº
come,ºº
[and] set them on fire:ººº
forº
it [is] a peopleº
of noº
understanding:º
thereforeºº
heº
that madeºº
them will notº
have mercyºº
on them, and he that formedºº
them will shew them no favour.ººº |

When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, [and] set them on fire: for it [is] a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour. |

27:12 ¶
And it shall come to passº
in thatº
day,º
[that]

יָהוֶהº
shall beat offºº
from the channelºº
of the riverº
untoº
the streamº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם,º
and yeº
shall be gatheredºº
oneº
by one,º
O ye childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.º |

27:12 ¶
And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] Yahweh shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Mitzrayim, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Yisrael. |

And it shall come to passº
in thatº
day,º
[that] the greatº
trumpetº
shall be blown,ºº
and they shall comeºº
which were ready to perishºº
in the landº
of
´Aššûr
אַשּׁוּר,º
and the outcastsºº
in the landº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם,º
and shall worshipºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
in the holyº
mountº
at
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם.º |

And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Ashshur, and the outcasts in the land of Mitzrayim, and shall worship Yahweh in the holy mount at Yerushalaim. |
