Exodus 7

1 Moses is encouraged to go to Pharaoh. 7 His age. 8 His rod is turned into a serpent. 11 The sorcerers do the like. 13 Pharaoh's heart is hardened. 14 God's message to Pharaoh. 19 The river is turned into blood.

 7:1 Then the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “See 7200, I make 5414 you [as] God 430 to Pharaoh 6547, and your brother 251 Aaron 175 shall be your prophet 5030.

 7:2 “You shall speak 1696 all 3605 that I command 6680 you, and your brother 251 Aaron 175 shall speak 1696 to Pharaoh 6547 that he let 7971 the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 go 7971 out of his land 776.

 7:3 “But I will harden 7185 Pharaoh’s 6547 heart 3820 that I may multiply 7235a My signs 226 and My wonders 4159 in the land 776 of Egypt 4714.

 7:4 “When Pharaoh 6547 does not listen 8085 to you, then I will lay 5414 My hand 3027 on Egypt 4714 and bring 3318 out My hosts 6635, My people 5971a the sons 1121 of Israel 3478, from the land 776 of Egypt 4714 by great 1419 judgments 8201.

 7:5 “The Egyptians 4714 shall know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068, when I stretch 5186 out My hand 3027 on Egypt 4714 and bring 3318 out the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 from their midst 8432.”

 7:6 So Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 did 6213a [it]; as the LORD 3068 commanded 6680 them, thus 3651 they did 6213a.

 7:7 Moses 4872 was eighty 8084 years 8141 old 1121 and Aaron 175 eighty-three 8084, when they spoke 1696 to Pharaoh 6547.

 7:8 ¶ Now the LORD 3068 spoke 559 to Moses 4872 and Aaron 175, saying 559,

 7:9 “When 3588 Pharaoh 6547 speaks 1696 to you, saying 559, ‘Work 5414 a miracle 4159,’ then you shall say 559 to Aaron 175, ‘Take 3947 your staff 4294 and throw 7993 [it] down 7993 before 6440 Pharaoh 6547, [that] it may become 1961 a serpent 8577.’”

 7:10 So Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 came 935 to Pharaoh 6547, and thus 3651 they did 6213a just 3512c as the LORD 3068 had commanded 6680; and Aaron 175 threw 7993 his staff 4294 down 7993 before 6440 Pharaoh 6547 and his servants 5650, and it became 1961 a serpent 8577.

 7:11 Then Pharaoh 6547 also 1571 called 7121 for [the] wise 2450 men 2450 and [the] sorcerers 3784, and they also 1571, the magicians 2748 of Egypt 4714, did 6213a the same 3651 with their secret 3909 arts 3909.

 7:12 For each 376 one 376 threw 7993 down 7993 his staff 4294 and they turned 1961 into serpents 8577. But Aaron’s 175 staff 4294 swallowed 1104 up their staffs 4294.

 7:13 Yet Pharaoh’s 6547 heart 3820 was hardened 2388, and he did not listen 8085 to them, as the LORD 3068 had said 1696.

 7:14 ¶ Then the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “Pharaoh’s 6547 heart 3820 is stubborn 3515; he refuses 3985 to let 7971 the people 5971a go 7971.

 7:15 “Go 1980 to Pharaoh 6547 in the morning 1242 as he is going 3318 out to the water 4325, and station 5324 yourself 5324 to meet 7122 him on the bank 8193 of the Nile 2975; and you shall take 3947 in your hand 3027 the staff 4294 that was turned 2015 into a serpent 5175.

 7:16 “You shall say 559 to him, ‘The LORD 3068, the God 430 of the Hebrews 5680, sent 7971 me to you, saying 559, “Let 7971 My people 5971a go 7971, that they may serve 5647 Me in the wilderness 4057b. But behold 2009, you have not listened 8085 until 5704 now 3541.”

 7:17 ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, “By this 2088 you shall know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068: behold 2009, I will strike 5221 the water 4325 that is in the Nile 2975 with the staff 4294 that is in my hand 3027, and it will be turned 2015 to blood 1818.

 7:18 “The fish 1710 that are in the Nile 2975 will die 4191, and the Nile 2975 will become 887 foul 887, and the Egyptians 4714 will find 3811 difficulty 3811 in drinking 8354 water 4325 from the Nile 2975.”’”

 7:19 Then the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “Say 559 to Aaron 175, ‘Take 3947 your staff 4294 and stretch 5186 out your hand 3027 over 5921 the waters 4325 of Egypt 4714, over 5921 their rivers 5104, over 5921 their streams 2975, and over 5921 their pools 98, and over 5921 all 3605 their reservoirs 4723b of water 4325, that they may become 1961 blood 1818; and there will be blood 1818 throughout all 3605 the land 776 of Egypt 4714, both in [vessels of] wood 6086 and in [vessels of] stone 68.’”

 7:20 ¶ So Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 did 6213a even 3651 as the LORD 3068 had commanded 6680. And he lifted 7311 up the staff 4294 and struck 5221 the water 4325 that [was] in the Nile 2975, in the sight 5869 of Pharaoh 6547 and in the sight 5869 of his servants 5650, and all 3605 the water 4325 that [was] in the Nile 2975 was turned 2015 to blood 1818.

 7:21 The fish 1710 that [were] in the Nile 2975 died 4191, and the Nile 2975 became 887 foul 887, so that the Egyptians 4714 could 3201 not drink 8354 water 4325 from the Nile 2975. And the blood 1818 was through all 3605 the land 776 of Egypt 4714.

 7:22 But the magicians 2748 of Egypt 4714 did 6213a the same 3651 with their secret 3909 arts 3909; and Pharaoh’s 6547 heart 3820 was hardened 2388, and he did not listen 8085 to them, as the LORD 3068 had said 1696.

 7:23 Then Pharaoh 6547 turned 6437 and went 935 into his house 1004 with no 3808 concern 7896 3820 even 1571 for this 2088.

 7:24 So all 3605 the Egyptians 4714 dug 2658 around 5439 the Nile 2975 for water 4325 to drink 8354, for they could 3201 not drink 8354 of the water 4325 of the Nile 2975.

 7:25 Seven 7651 days 3117 passed 4390 after 310 the LORD 3068 had struck 5221 the Nile 2975.
