Exodus 8

1 Frogs are sent. 8 Pharaoh sueth Moses, 12 and Moses by prayer removeth them away. 16 The dust is turned into lice, which the magicians could not do. 20 The swarms of flies. 25 Pharaoh inclineth to let the people go, 32 but yet is hardened.

 8:1 Then the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “Go 935 to Pharaoh 6547 and say 559 to him, ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, “Let 7971 My people 5971a go 7971, that they may serve 5647 Me.

 8:2 “But if 518 you refuse 3986 to let 7971 [them] go 7971, behold 2009, I will smite 5062 your whole 3605 territory 1366 with frogs 6854.

 8:3 “The Nile 2975 will swarm 8317 with frogs 6854, which will come 5927 up and go 935 into your house 1004 and into your bedroom 2315 4904 and on your bed 4296, and into the houses 1004 of your servants 5650 and on your people 5971a, and into your ovens 8574 and into your kneading 4863 bowls 4863.

 8:4 “So the frogs 6854 will come 5927 up on you and your people 5971a and all 3605 your servants 5650.”’”

 8:5 Then the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “Say 559 to Aaron 175, ‘Stretch 5186 out your hand 3027 with your staff 4294 over 5921 the rivers 5104, over 5921 the streams 2975 and over 5921 the pools 98, and make frogs 6854 come 5927 up on the land 776 of Egypt 4714.’”

 8:6 So Aaron 175 stretched 5186 out his hand 3027 over 5921 the waters 4325 of Egypt 4714, and the frogs 6854 came 5927 up and covered 3680 the land 776 of Egypt 4714.

 8:7 The magicians 2748 did 6213a the same 3651 with their secret 3909 arts 3909, making frogs 6854 come 5927 up on the land 776 of Egypt 4714.

 8:8 ¶ Then Pharaoh 6547 called 7121 for Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 and said 559, “Entreat 6279 the LORD 3068 that He remove 5493 the frogs 6854 from me and from my people 5971a; and I will let 7971 the people 5971a go 7971, that they may sacrifice 2076 to the LORD 3068.”

 8:9 Moses 4872 said 559 to Pharaoh 6547, “The honor 6286 is yours to tell me: when 4970 shall I entreat 6279 for you and your servants 5650 and your people 5971a, that the frogs 6854 be destroyed 3772 from you and your houses 1004, [that] they may be left 7604 only 7534 in the Nile 2975?”

 8:10 ¶ Then he said 559, “Tomorrow 4279.” So he said 559, “[May it be] according to your word 1697, that you may know 3045 that there 369 is no 369 one 369 like the LORD 3068 our God 430.

 8:11 “The frogs 6854 will depart 5493 from you and your houses 1004 and your servants 5650 and your people 5971a; they will be left 7604 only 7534 in the Nile 2975.”

 8:12 Then Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 went 3318 out from Pharaoh 6547, and Moses 4872 cried 6817 to the LORD 3068 concerning 5921 1697 the frogs 6854 which 834 He had inflicted 7760 upon Pharaoh 6547.

 8:13 The LORD 3068 did 6213a according to the word 1697 of Moses 4872, and the frogs 6854 died 4191 out of the houses 1004, the courts 2691a, and the fields 7704.

 8:14 So they piled 6651 them in heaps 2563b, and the land 776 became 887 foul 887.

 8:15 But when Pharaoh 6547 saw 7200 that there was relief 7309, he hardened 3513 his heart 3820 and did not listen 8085 to them, as the LORD 3068 had said 1696.

 8:16 ¶ Then the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “Say 559 to Aaron 175, ‘Stretch 5186 out your staff 4294 and strike 5221 the dust 6083 of the earth 776, that it may become 1961 gnats 3654 through all 3605 the land 776 of Egypt 4714.’”

 8:17 They did 6213a so 3651; and Aaron 175 stretched 5186 out his hand 3027 with his staff 4294, and struck 5221 the dust 6083 of the earth 776, and there were gnats 3654 on man 120 and beast 929. All 3605 the dust 6083 of the earth 776 became 1961 gnats 3654 through all 3605 the land 776 of Egypt 4714.

 8:18 The magicians 2748 tried 6213a with their secret 3909 arts 3909 to bring 3318 forth 3318 gnats 3654, but they could 3201 not; so there were gnats 3654 on man 120 and beast 929.

 8:19 Then the magicians 2748 said 559 to Pharaoh 6547, “This 1931 is the finger 676 of God 430.” But Pharaoh’s 6547 heart 3820 was hardened 2388, and he did not listen 8085 to them, as the LORD 3068 had said 1696.

 8:20 ¶ Now the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “Rise 7925 early 7925 in the morning 1242 and present 3320 yourself 3320 before 6440 Pharaoh 6547, as he comes 3318 out to the water 4325, and say 559 to him, ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, “Let 7971 My people 5971a go 7971, that they may serve 5647 Me.

 8:21 “For if 518 you do not let 7971 My people 5971a go 7971, behold 2009, I will send 7971 swarms 6157 of flies on you and on your servants 5650 and on your people 5971a and into your houses 1004; and the houses 1004 of the Egyptians 4714 will be full 4390 of swarms 6157 of flies, and also 1571 the ground 127 on which 834 they [dwell].

 8:22 “But on that day 3117 I will set 6395 apart 6395 the land 776 of Goshen 1657, where 834 My people 5971a are living 5975, so that no 1115 swarms 6157 of flies will be there 8033, in order 4616 that you may know 3045 that I, the LORD 3068, am in the midst 7130 of the land 776.

 8:23 “I will put 7760 a division 6304 between 996 My people 5971a and your people 5971a. Tomorrow 4279 this 2088 sign 226 will occur 1961.”’”

 8:24 Then the LORD 3068 did 6213a so 3651. And there came 935 great 3515 swarms 6157 of flies into the house 1004 of Pharaoh 6547 and the houses 1004 of his servants 5650 and the land 776 was laid 7843 waste 7843 because 4480 6440 of the swarms 6157 of flies in all 3605 the land 776 of Egypt 4714.

 8:25 ¶ Pharaoh 6547 called 7121 for Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 and said 559, “Go 1980, sacrifice 2076 to your God 430 within the land 776.”

 8:26 But Moses 4872 said 559, “It is not right 3559 to do 6213a so 3651, for we will sacrifice 2076 to the LORD 3068 our God 430 what is an abomination 8441 to the Egyptians 4714. If 2005 we sacrifice 2076 what is an abomination 8441 to the Egyptians 4714 before their eyes 5869, will they not then stone 5619 us?

 8:27 “We must go 1980 a three 7969 days’ 3117 journey 1870 into the wilderness 4057b and sacrifice 2076 to the LORD 3068 our God 430 as He commands 559 us.”

 8:28 Pharaoh 6547 said 559, “I will let 7971 you go 7971, that you may sacrifice 2076 to the LORD 3068 your God 430 in the wilderness 4057b; only 7534 you shall not go 1980 very far 7368 away. Make 6279 supplication 6279 for me.”

 8:29 Then Moses 4872 said 559, “Behold 2009, I am going 3318 out from you, and I shall make 6279 supplication 6279 to the LORD 3068 that the swarms 6157 of flies may depart 5493 from Pharaoh 6547, from his servants 5650, and from his people 5971a tomorrow 4279; only 7534 do not let Pharaoh 6547 deal 8524 deceitfully 8524 again 3254 in not letting 7971 the people 5971a go 7971 to sacrifice 2076 to the LORD 3068.”

 8:30 ¶ So Moses 4872 went 3318 out from Pharaoh 6547 and made 6279 supplication 6279 to the LORD 3068.

 8:31 The LORD 3068 did 6213a as Moses 4872 asked 1697, and removed 5493 the swarms 6157 of flies from Pharaoh 6547, from his servants 5650 and from his people 5971a; not one 259 remained 7604.

 8:32 But Pharaoh 6547 hardened 3513 his heart 3820 this 2088 time 6471 also 1571, and he did not let 7971 the people 5971a go 7971.
