Exodus 10

1 God threateneth to send locusts. 7 Pharaoh, moved by his servants, inclineth to let the Israelites go. 12 The plague of the locusts. 16 Pharaoh sueth Moses. 21 The plague of darkness. 24 Pharaoh sueth again unto Moses, 27 but yet is hardened.

 10:1 Then the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “Go 935 to Pharaoh 6547, for I have hardened 3513 his heart 3820 and the heart 3820 of his servants 5650, that I may perform 7896 these 428 signs 226 of Mine among 7130 them,

 10:2 and that you may tell 5608 in the hearing 241 of your son 1121, and of your grandson 1121, how 854 834 I made 5953a a mockery 5953a of the Egyptians 4714 and how 834 I performed 7760 My signs 226 among them, that you may know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068.”

 10:3 ¶ Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 went 935 to Pharaoh 6547 and said 559 to him, “Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, the God 430 of the Hebrews 5680, ‘How 4970 long 5704 4970 will you refuse 3985 to humble 6031a yourself before 4480 6440 Me? Let 7971 My people 5971a go 7971, that they may serve 5647 Me.

 10:4 ‘For if 518 you refuse 3986 to let 7971 My people 5971a go 7971, behold 2009, tomorrow 4279 I will bring 935 locusts 697 into your territory 1366.

 10:5 ‘They shall cover 3680 the surface 5869 of the land 776, so that no 3808 one will be able 3201 to see 7200 the land 776. They will also eat 398 the rest 3499a of what 6413 has escaped 6413—what is left 7604 to you from the hail 1259—and they will eat 398 every 3605 tree 6086 which sprouts 6779 for you out of the field 7704.

 10:6 ‘Then your houses 1004 shall be filled 4390 and the houses 1004 of all 3605 your servants 5650 and the houses 1004 of all 3605 the Egyptians 4714, [something] which 834 neither 3808 your fathers 1 nor 3808 your grandfathers 1 have seen 7200, from the day 3117 that they came 1961 upon the earth 127 until 5704 this 2088 day 3117.’” And he turned 6437 and went 3318 out from Pharaoh 6547.

 10:7 Pharaoh’s 6547 servants 5650 said 559 to him, “How 4970 long 5704 4970 will this 2088 man be a snare 4170 to us? Let 7971 the men 376 go 7971, that they may serve 5647 the LORD 3068 their God 430. Do you not realize 3045 that Egypt 4714 is destroyed 6?”

 10:8 So Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 were brought 7725 back 7725 to Pharaoh 6547, and he said 559 to them, “Go 1980, serve 5647 the LORD 3068 your God 430! Who 4310 are the ones that are going 1980?”

 10:9 Moses 4872 said 559, “We shall go 1980 with our young 5288 and our old 2205; with our sons 1121 and our daughters 1323, with our flocks 6629 and our herds 1241 we shall go 1980, for we must hold a feast 2282 to the LORD 3068.”

 10:10 Then he said 559 to them, “Thus 3651 may the LORD 3068 be with you, if 834 ever 3512c I let 7971 you and your little 2945 ones 2945 go 7971! Take 7200 heed 7200, for evil 7463a is in your mind 6440.

 10:11 “Not so 3651! Go 1980 now 4994, the men 1397 [among you], and serve 5647 the LORD 3068, for that is what you desire 1245.” So they were driven 1644 out from Pharaoh’s 6547 presence 6440.

 10:12 ¶ Then the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “Stretch 5186 out your hand 3027 over 5921 the land 776 of Egypt 4714 for the locusts 697, that they may come 5927 up on the land 776 of Egypt 4714 and eat 398 every 3605 plant 6212a of the land 776, [even] all 3605 that the hail 1259 has left 7604.”

 10:13 So Moses 4872 stretched 5186 out his staff 4294 over 5921 the land 776 of Egypt 4714, and the LORD 3068 directed 5090a an east 6921 wind 7307 on the land 776 all 3605 that day 3117 and all 3605 that night 3915; and when it was morning 1242, the east 6921 wind 7307 brought 5375 the locusts 697.

 10:14 The locusts 697 came 5927 up over 5921 all 3605 the land 776 of Egypt 4714 and settled 5117 in all 3605 the territory 1366 of Egypt 4714; [they were] very 3966 numerous 3515. There had never 3808 been 1961 so 3651 [many] locusts 697, nor 3808 would there be so 3651 [many] again 310.

 10:15 For they covered 3680 the surface 5869 of the whole 3605 land 776, so that the land 776 was darkened 2821; and they ate 398 every 3605 plant 6212a of the land 776 and all 3605 the fruit 6529 of the trees 6086 that the hail 1259 had left 3498. Thus nothing 3808 3605 green 3418 was left 3498 on tree 6086 or plant 6212a of the field 7704 through all 3605 the land 776 of Egypt 4714.

 10:16 Then Pharaoh 6547 hurriedly 4116 called 7121 for Moses 4872 and Aaron 175, and he said 559, “I have sinned 2398 against the LORD 3068 your God 430 and against you.

 10:17 “Now 6258 therefore, please 4994 forgive 5375 my sin 2403b only 389 this 6471 once 6471, and make 6279 supplication 6279 to the LORD 3068 your God 430, that He would only 7534 remove 5493 this 2088 death 4194 from me.”

 10:18 He went 3318 out from Pharaoh 6547 and made 6279 supplication 6279 to the LORD 3068.

 10:19 So the LORD 3068 shifted 2015 [the wind] to a very 3966 strong 2389 west 3220 wind 7307 which took 5375 up the locusts 697 and drove 8628 them into the Red 5488 3220 Sea 3220; not one 259 locust 697 was left 7604 in all 3605 the territory 1366 of Egypt 4714.

 10:20 But the LORD 3068 hardened 2388 Pharaoh’s 6547 heart 3820, and he did not let 7971 the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 go 7971.

 10:21 ¶ Then the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “Stretch 5186 out your hand 3027 toward 5921 the sky 8064, that there may be darkness 2822 over 5921 the land 776 of Egypt 4714, even a darkness 2822 which may be felt 4959.”

 10:22 So Moses 4872 stretched 5186 out his hand 3027 toward 5921 the sky 8064, and there was thick 653 darkness 2822 in all 3605 the land 776 of Egypt 4714 for three 7969 days 3117.

 10:23 They did not see 7200 one 376 another 251, nor 3808 did anyone 376 rise 6965 from his place 8478 for three 7969 days 3117, but all 3605 the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 had 1961 light 216 in their dwellings 4186.

 10:24 Then Pharaoh 6547 called 7121 to Moses 4872, and said 559, “Go 1980, serve 5647 the LORD 3068; only 7534 let your flocks 6629 and your herds 1241 be detained 3322. Even 1571 your little 2945 ones 2945 may go 1980 with you.”

 10:25 But Moses 4872 said 559, “You must also 1571 let 5414 us have 5414 3027 sacrifices 2077 and burnt 5930a offerings 5930a, that we may sacrifice 6213a [them] to the LORD 3068 our God 430.

 10:26 “Therefore, our livestock 4735 too 1571 shall go 1980 with us; not a hoof 6541 shall be left 7604 behind 7604, for we shall take 3947 some 4480 of them to serve 5647 the LORD 3068 our God 430. And until 5704 we arrive 935 there 8033, we ourselves 587 do not know 3045 with what 4100 we shall serve 5647 the LORD 3068.”

 10:27 But the LORD 3068 hardened 2388 Pharaoh’s 6547 heart 3820, and he was not willing 14 to let 7971 them go 7971.

 10:28 Then Pharaoh 6547 said 559 to him, “Get 1980 away 1980 from me! Beware 8104, do not see 7200 my face 6440 again 3254, for in the day 3117 you see 7200 my face 6440 you shall die 4191!”

 10:29 Moses 4872 said 559, “You are right 3653a; I shall never 3808 see 7200 your face 6440 again 3254!”
