Exodus 24

1 Moses is called up into the mountain. 3 The people promise obedience. 4 Moses buildeth an altar, and twelve pillars. 6 He sprinkleth the blood of the Covenant. 9 The glory of God appeareth. 14 Aaron and Hur have the charge of the people. 15 Moses goeth into the mountain, where he continueth forty days and forty nights.

 24:1 Then He said 559 to Moses 4872, “Come 5927 up to the LORD 3068, you and Aaron 175, Nadab 5070 and Abihu 30 and seventy 7657 of the elders 2205 of Israel 3478, and you shall worship 7812 at a distance 7350.

 24:2 “Moses 4872 alone 905, however, shall come 5066 near 5066 to the LORD 3068, but they shall not come 5066 near 5066, nor 3808 shall the people 5971a come 5927 up with him.”

 24:3 ¶ Then Moses 4872 came 935 and recounted 5608 to the people 5971a all 3605 the words 1697 of the LORD 3068 and all 3605 the ordinances 4941; and all 3605 the people 5971a answered 6030a with one 259 voice 6963 and said 559, “All 3605 the words 1697 which 834 the LORD 3068 has spoken 1696 we will do 6213a!”

 24:4 Moses 4872 wrote 3789 down 3789 all 3605 the words 1697 of the LORD 3068. Then he arose 7925 early 7925 in the morning 1242, and built 1129 an altar 4196 at the foot 8478 of the mountain 2022 with twelve 8147 6240 pillars 4676 for the twelve 8147 6240 tribes 7626 of Israel 3478.

 24:5 He sent 7971 young 5288 men 5288 of the sons 1121 of Israel 3478, and they offered 5927 burnt 5930a offerings 5930a and sacrificed 2076 young 6499 bulls 6499 as peace 8002 offerings 8002 to the LORD 3068.

 24:6 Moses 4872 took 3947 half 2677 of the blood 1818 and put 7760 [it] in basins 101, and the [other] half 2677 of the blood 1818 he sprinkled 2236b on the altar 4196.

 24:7 Then he took 3947 the book 5612 of the covenant 1285 and read 7121 [it] in the hearing 241 of the people 5971a; and they said 559, “All 3605 that the LORD 3068 has spoken 1696 we will do 6213a, and we will be obedient 8085!”

 24:8 So Moses 4872 took 3947 the blood 1818 and sprinkled 2236b [it] on the people 5971a, and said 559, “Behold 2009 the blood 1818 of the covenant 1285, which 834 the LORD 3068 has made 3772 with you in accordance 5921 with all 3605 these 428 words 1697.”

 24:9 ¶ Then Moses 4872 went 5927 up with Aaron 175, Nadab 5070 and Abihu 30, and seventy 7657 of the elders 2205 of Israel 3478,

 24:10 and they saw 7200 the God 430 of Israel 3478; and under 8478 His feet 7272 there appeared to be a pavement 3843 of sapphire 5601, as clear 2892a as the sky 8064 itself 6106.

 24:11 Yet He did not stretch 7971 out His hand 3027 against 413 the nobles 678 of the sons 1121 of Israel 3478; and they saw 2372 God 430, and they ate 398 and drank 8354.

 24:12 ¶ Now the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “Come 5927 up to Me on the mountain 2022 and remain 1961 there 8033, and I will give 5414 you the stone 68 tablets 3871 with the law 8451 and the commandment 4687 which 834 I have written 3789 for their instruction 3384.”

 24:13 So Moses 4872 arose 6965 with Joshua 3091 his servant 8334, and Moses 4872 went 5927 up to the mountain 2022 of God 430.

 24:14 But to the elders 2205 he said 559, “Wait 3427 here 2088 for us until 5704 834 we return 7725 to you. And behold 2009, Aaron 175 and Hur 2354 are with you; whoever 4310 has a legal matter 1697, let him approach 5066 them.”

 24:15 Then Moses 4872 went 5927 up to the mountain 2022, and the cloud 6051 covered 3680 the mountain 2022.

 24:16 The glory 3519b of the LORD 3068 rested 7931 on Mount 2022 Sinai 5514, and the cloud 6051 covered 3680 it for six 8337a days 3117; and on the seventh 7637 day 3117 He called 7121 to Moses 4872 from the midst 8432 of the cloud 6051.

 24:17 And to the eyes 5869 of the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 the appearance 4758 of the glory 3519b of the LORD 3068 was like a consuming 398 fire 784 on the mountain 2022 top 7218.

 24:18 Moses 4872 entered 935 the midst 8432 of the cloud 6051 as he went 5927 up to the mountain 2022; and Moses 4872 was on the mountain 2022 forty 705 days 3117 and forty 705 nights 3915.
