Exodus 29

1 The sacrifice and ceremonies of consecrating the priests. 38 The continual burnt offering. 45 God's promise to dwell among the children of Israel.

 29:1 “Now this 2088 is what 1697 834 you shall do 6213a to them to consecrate 6942 them to minister 3547 as priests 3547 to Me: take 3947 one 259 young 1121 bull 6499 and two 8147 rams 352a without 8549 blemish 8549,

 29:2 and unleavened 4682 bread 3899 and unleavened 4682 cakes 2471 mixed 1101a with oil 8081, and unleavened 4682 wafers 7550 spread 4886 with oil 8081; you shall make 6213a them of fine 5560 wheat 2406 flour 5560.

 29:3 “You shall put 5414 them in one 259 basket 5536, and present 7126 them in the basket 5536 along with the bull 6499 and the two 8147 rams 352a.

 29:4 “Then you shall bring 7126 Aaron 175 and his sons 1121 to the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150 and wash 7364 them with water 4325.

 29:5 “You shall take 3947 the garments 899b, and put 3847 on Aaron 175 the tunic 3801 and the robe 4598 of the ephod 646 and the ephod 646 and the breastpiece 2833, and gird 640 him with the skillfully 2805 woven 2805 band 2805 of the ephod 646;

 29:6 and you shall set 7660 the turban 4701 on his head 7218 and put 5414 the holy 6944 crown 5145 on the turban 4701.

 29:7 “Then you shall take 3947 the anointing 4888b oil 8081 and pour 3332 it on his head 7218 and anoint 4886 him.

 29:8 “You shall bring 7126 his sons 1121 and put 3847 tunics 3801 on them.

 29:9 “You shall gird 2296 them with sashes 73, Aaron 175 and his sons 1121, and bind 2280 caps 4021 on them, and they shall have 1961 the priesthood 3550 by a perpetual 5769 statute 2708. So you shall ordain 4390 3027 Aaron 175 and his sons 1121.

 29:10 ¶ “Then you shall bring 7126 the bull 6499 before 6440 the tent 168 of meeting 4150, and Aaron 175 and his sons 1121 shall lay 5564 their hands 3027 on the head 7218 of the bull 6499.

 29:11 “You shall slaughter 7819 the bull 6499 before 6440 the LORD 3068 at the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150.

 29:12 “You shall take 3947 some 4480 of the blood 1818 of the bull 6499 and put 5414 [it] on the horns 7161 of the altar 4196 with your finger 676; and you shall pour 8210 out all 3605 the blood 1818 at the base 3247 of the altar 4196.

 29:13 “You shall take 3947 all 3605 the fat 2459 that covers 3680 the entrails 7130 and the lobe 3508 of the liver 3516, and the two 8147 kidneys 3629 and the fat 2459 that is on them, and offer 6999 them up in smoke 6999 on the altar 4196.

 29:14 “But the flesh 1320 of the bull 6499 and its hide 5785 and its refuse 6569, you shall burn 8313 with fire 784 outside 4480 2351 the camp 4264; it is a sin 2403b offering 2403b.

 29:15 ¶ “You shall also take 3947 the one 259 ram 352a, and Aaron 175 and his sons 1121 shall lay 5564 their hands 3027 on the head 7218 of the ram 352a;

 29:16 and you shall slaughter 7819 the ram 352a and shall take 3947 its blood 1818 and sprinkle 2236b it around 5439 on the altar 4196.

 29:17 “Then you shall cut 5408 the ram 352a into its pieces 5409, and wash 7364 its entrails 7130 and its legs 3767, and put 5414 [them] with its pieces 5409 and its head 7218.

 29:18 “You shall offer 6999 up in smoke 6999 the whole 3605 ram 352a on the altar 4196; it is a burnt 5930a offering 5930a to the LORD 3068: it is a soothing 5207 aroma 7381b, an offering 801 by fire 801 to the LORD 3068.

 29:19 ¶ “Then you shall take 3947 the other 8145 ram 352a, and Aaron 175 and his sons 1121 shall lay 5564 their hands 3027 on the head 7218 of the ram 352a.

 29:20 “You shall slaughter 7819 the ram 352a, and take 3947 some 4480 of its blood 1818 and put 5414 [it] on the lobe 8571 of Aaron’s 175 right ear 241 and on the lobes 8571 of his sons’ 1121 right 3233 ears 241 and on the thumbs 931 of their right 3233 hands 3027 and on the big 931 toes 931 of their right 3233 feet 7272, and sprinkle 2236b the [rest of the] blood 1818 around 5439 on the altar 4196.

 29:21 “Then you shall take 3947 some 4480 of the blood 1818 that is on the altar 4196 and some 4480 of the anointing 4888b oil 8081, and sprinkle 5137a [it] on Aaron 175 and on his garments 899b and on his sons 1121 and on his sons’ 1121 garments 899b with him; so he and his garments 899b shall be consecrated 6942, as well as his sons 1121 and his sons’ 1121 garments 899b with him.

 29:22 ¶ “You shall also take 3947 the fat 2459 from the ram 352a and the fat 451 tail 451, and the fat 2459 that covers 3680 the entrails 7130 and the lobe 3508 of the liver 3516, and the two 8147 kidneys 3629 and the fat 2459 that is on them and the right 3225 thigh 7785 (for it is a ram 352a of ordination 4394),

 29:23 and one 259 cake 3603 of bread 3899 and one 259 cake 2471 of bread 3899 [mixed with] oil 8081 and one 259 wafer 7550 from the basket 5536 of unleavened 4682 bread 4682 which 834 is [set] before 6440 the LORD 3068;

 29:24 and you shall put 7760 all 3605 these 3605 in the hands 3709 of Aaron 175 and in the hands 3709 of his sons 1121, and shall wave 5130 them as a wave 8573 offering 8573 before 6440 the LORD 3068.

 29:25 “You shall take 3947 them from their hands 3027, and offer 6999 them up in smoke 6999 on the altar 4196 on the burnt 5930a offering 5930a for a soothing 5207 aroma 7381b before 6440 the LORD 3068; it is an offering 801 by fire 801 to the LORD 3068.

 29:26 ¶ “Then you shall take 3947 the breast 2373 of Aaron’s 175 ram 352a of ordination 4394, and wave 5130 it as a wave 8573 offering 8573 before 6440 the LORD 3068; and it shall be your portion 4490.

 29:27 “You shall consecrate 6942 the breast 2373 of the wave 8573 offering 8573 and the thigh 7785 of the heave 8641 offering 8641 which 834 was waved 5130 and which 834 was offered 7311 from the ram 352a of ordination 4394, from the one which 834 was for Aaron 175 and from the one which 834 was for his sons 1121.

 29:28 “It shall be for Aaron 175 and his sons 1121 as [their] portion 2706 forever 5769 from the sons 1121 of Israel 3478, for it is a heave 8641 offering 8641; and it shall be a heave 8641 offering 8641 from the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 from the sacrifices 2077 of their peace 8002 offerings 8002, [even] their heave 8641 offering 8641 to the LORD 3068.

 29:29 ¶ “The holy 6944 garments 899b of Aaron 175 shall be for his sons 1121 after 310 him, that in them they may be anointed 4886 and ordained 4390 3027.

 29:30 “For seven 7651 days 3117 the one of his sons 1121 who is priest 3548 in his stead 8478 shall put 3847 them on when 834 he enters 935 the tent 168 of meeting 4150 to minister 8334 in the holy 6944 place.

 29:31 ¶ “You shall take 3947 the ram 352a of ordination 4394 and boil 1310 its flesh 1320 in a holy 6918 place 4725.

 29:32 “Aaron 175 and his sons 1121 shall eat 398 the flesh 1320 of the ram 352a and the bread 3899 that is in the basket 5536, at the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150.

 29:33 “Thus they shall eat 398 those things by which 834 atonement 3722a was made 3722a at their ordination 4390 3027 [and] consecration 6942; but a layman 2114a shall not eat 398 [them], because 3588 they are holy 6944.

 29:34 “If 518 any 4480 of the flesh 1320 of ordination 4394 or any 4480 of the bread 3899 remains 3498 until 5704 morning 1242, then you shall burn 8313 the remainder 3498 with fire 784; it shall not be eaten 398, because 3588 it is holy 6944.

 29:35 ¶ “Thus 3602 you shall do 6213a to Aaron 175 and to his sons 1121, according to all 3605 that I have commanded 6680 you; you shall ordain 4390 3027 them through seven 7651 days 3117.

 29:36 “Each day 3117 you shall offer 6213a a bull 6499 as a sin 2403b offering 2403b for atonement 3725, and you shall purify 2398 the altar 4196 when you make 3722a atonement 3722a for it, and you shall anoint 4886 it to consecrate 6942 it.

 29:37 “For seven 7651 days 3117 you shall make 3722a atonement 3722a for the altar 4196 and consecrate 6942 it; then the altar 4196 shall be most 6944 holy 6944, [and] whatever 3605 touches 5060 the altar 4196 shall be holy 6942.

 29:38 ¶ “Now this 2088 is what 834 you shall offer 6213a on the altar 4196: two 8147 one year 8141 old 1121 lambs 3532 each day 3117, continuously 8548.

 29:39 “The one 259 lamb 3532 you shall offer 6213a in the morning 1242 and the other 8145 lamb 3532 you shall offer 6213a at twilight 6153;

 29:40 and there [shall be] one-tenth 6241 [of an ephah] of fine 5560 flour 5560 mixed 1101a with one-fourth 7253 of a hin 1969 of beaten 3795 oil 8081, and one-fourth 7243 of a hin 1969 of wine 3196 for a drink 5262a offering 5262a with one 259 lamb 3532.

 29:41 “The other 8145 lamb 3532 you shall offer 6213a at twilight 6153, and shall offer 6213a with it the same grain offering 4503 and the same drink 5262a offering 5262a as in the morning 1242, for a soothing 5207 aroma 7381b, an offering 801 by fire 801 to the LORD 3068.

 29:42 “It shall be a continual 8548 burnt 5930a offering 5930a throughout your generations 1755 at the doorway 6607 of the tent 168 of meeting 4150 before 6440 the LORD 3068, where 834 8033 I will meet 3259 with you, to speak 1696 to you there 8033.

 29:43 “I will meet 3259 there 8033 with the sons 1121 of Israel 3478, and it shall be consecrated 6942 by My glory 3519b.

 29:44 “I will consecrate 6942 the tent 168 of meeting 4150 and the altar 4196; I will also consecrate 6942 Aaron 175 and his sons 1121 to minister 3547 as priests 3547 to Me.

 29:45 “I will dwell 7931 among 8432 the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 and will be their God 430.

 29:46 “They shall know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068 their God 430 who 834 brought 3318 them out of the land 776 of Egypt 4714, that I might dwell 7931 among 8432 them; I am the LORD 3068 their God 430.
