צַו אֶת־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְנָתְנוּ לַלְוִיִּם מִנַּחֲלַת אֲחֻזָּתָם עָרִים לָשָׁבֶת וּמִגְרָשׁ לֶעָרִים סְבִיבֹתֵיהֶם תִּתְּנוּ לַלְוִיִּם

 35:2 tzaw et-B'nëy yis'räël w'nät'nû lal'wiYim miNachálat áchuZätäm äriym läshävet ûmig'räsh leäriym š'viyvotëyhem TiT'nû lal'wiYim

 35:2 Command 6680 z8761 x853 the children 1121 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל, 3478 that they give 5414 z8804 unto the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם 3881 of the inheritance 5159 x4480 of their possession 272 cities 5892 to dwell in; 3427 z8800 and ye shall give 5414 z8799 [also] unto the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם 3881 suburbs 4054 for the cities 5892 round about 5439 them.

וְהָיוּ הֶעָרִים לָהֶם לָשָׁבֶת וּמִגְרְשֵׁיהֶם יִהְיוּ לִבְהֶמְתָּם וְלִרְכֻשָׁם וּלְכֹל חַיָּתָם

 35:3 w'häyû heäriym lähem läshävet ûmig'r'shëyhem yih'yû liv'hem'Täm w'lir'khushäm ûl'khol chaYätäm

 35:3 And the cities 5892 shall they have x1961 to dwell in; 3427 z8800 and the suburbs 4054 of them shall be x1961 for their cattle, 929 and for their goods, 7399 and for all x3605 their beasts. 2416

וּמִגְרְשֵׁי הֶעָרִים אֲשֶׁר תִּתְּנוּ לַלְוִיִּם מִקִּיר הָעִיר וָחוּצָה אֶלֶף אַמָּה סָבִיב

 35:4 And the suburbs 4054 of the cities, 5892 which x834 ye shall give 5414 z8799 unto the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם, 3881 [shall reach] from the wall 7023 x4480 of the city 5892 and outward 2351 a thousand 505 cubits 520 round about. 5439

וּמַדֹּתֶם מִחוּץ לָעִיר אֶת־פְּאַת־קֵדְמָה אַלְפַּיִם בָּאַמָּה וְאֶת־פְּאַת־נֶגֶב אַלְפַּיִם בָּאַמָּה וְאֶת־פְּאַת־יָם אַלְפַּיִם בָּאַמָּה וְאֵת פְּאַת צָפוֹן אַלְפַּיִם בָּאַמָּה וְהָעִיר בַּתָּוֶךְ זֶה יִהְיֶה לָהֶם מִגְרְשֵׁי הֶעָרִים

 35:5 And ye shall measure 4058 z8804 from without 2351 x4480 the city 5892 on x853 the east 6924 side 6285 two thousand 505 cubits, 520 and on the south 5045 side 6285 two thousand 505 cubits, 520 and on the west 3220 side 6285 two thousand 505 cubits, 520 and on the north 6828 side 6285 two thousand 505 cubits; 520 and the city 5892 [shall be] in the midst: 8432 this x2088 shall be x1961 to them the suburbs 4054 of the cities. 5892

וְאֵת הֶעָרִים אֲשֶׁר תִּתְּנוּ לַלְוִיִּם אֵת שֵׁשׁ־עָרֵי הַמִּקְלָט אֲשֶׁר תִּתְּנוּ לָנֻס שָׁמָּה הָרֹצֵחַ וַעֲלֵיהֶם תִּתְּנוּ אַרְבָּעִים וּשְׁתַּיִם עִיר

 35:6 w'ët heäriym ásher TiT'nû lal'wiYim ët shësh-ärëy haMiq'läţ ásher TiT'nû länuš shäMäh härotzëªch waálëyhem TiT'nû ar'Bäiym ûsh'Tayim iyr

 35:6 And among x854 the cities 5892 which x834 ye shall give 5414 z8799 unto the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם 3881 [there shall be] x853 six 8337 cities 5892 for refuge, 4733 which x834 ye shall appoint 5414 z8799 for the manslayer, 7523 z8802 that he may flee 5127 z8800 thither: x8033 and to x5921 them ye shall add 5414 z8799 forty 705 and two 8147 cities. 5892

כָּל־הֶעָרִים אֲשֶׁר תִּתְּנוּ לַלְוִיִּם אַרְבָּעִים וּשְׁמֹנֶה עִיר אֶתְהֶן וְאֶת־מִגְרְשֵׁיהֶן

 35:7 Käl-heäriym ásher TiT'nû lal'wiYim ar'Bäiym ûsh'moneh iyr et'hen w'et-mig'r'shëyhen

 35:7 [So] all x3605 the cities 5892 which x834 ye shall give 5414 z8799 to the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם 3881 [shall be] forty 705 and eight 8083 cities: 5892 them [shall ye give] with x854 their suburbs. 4054

וְהֶעָרִים אֲשֶׁר תִּתְּנוּ מֵאֲחֻזַּת בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאֵת הָרַב תַּרְבּוּ וּמֵאֵת הַמְעַט תַּמְעִיטוּ אִישׁ כְּפִי נַחֲלָתוֹ אֲשֶׁר יִנְחָלוּ יִתֵּן מֵעָרָיו לַלְוִיִּם פ

דַּבֵּר אֶל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם כִּי אַתֶּם עֹבְרִים אֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּן אַרְצָה כְּנָעַן

וְהִקְרִיתֶם לָכֶם עָרִים עָרֵי מִקְלָט תִּהְיֶינָה לָכֶם וְנָס שָׁמָּה רֹצֵחַ מַכֵּה־נֶפֶשׁ בִּשְׁגָגָה

 35:11 w'hiq'riytem läkhem äriym ärëy miq'läţ Tih'yeynäh läkhem w'näš shäMäh rotzëªch maKëh-nefesh Bish'gägäh

 35:11 Then ye shall appoint 7136 z8689 you cities 5892 to be x1961 cities 5892 of refuge 4733 for you; that the slayer 7523 z8802 may flee 5127 z8804 thither, x8033 which killeth 5221 z8688 any person 5315 at unawares. 7684

וְהָיוּ לָכֶם הֶעָרִים לְמִקְלָט מִגֹּאֵל וְלֹא יָמוּת הָרֹצֵחַ עַד־עָמְדוֹ לִפְנֵי הָעֵדָה לַמִּשְׁפָּט

 35:12 w'häyû läkhem heäriym l'miq'läţ miGoël w'lo yämût härotzëªch ad-äm'dô lif'nëy häëdäh laMish'Päţ

 35:12 And they shall be x1961 unto you cities 5892 for refuge 4733 from the avenger; 1350 z8802 x4480 that the manslayer 7523 z8802 die 4191 z8799 not, x3808 until x5704 he stand 5975 z8800 before 6440 the congregation 5712 in judgment. 4941

וְהֶעָרִים אֲשֶׁר תִּתֵּנוּ שֵׁשׁ־עָרֵי מִקְלָט תִּהְיֶינָה לָכֶם

אֵת שְׁלֹשׁ הֶעָרִים תִּתְּנוּ מֵעֵבֶר לַיַּרְדֵּן וְאֵת שְׁלֹשׁ הֶעָרִים תִּתְּנוּ בְּאֶרֶץ כְּנָעַן עָרֵי מִקְלָט תִּהְיֶינָה

 35:14 Ye shall give 5414 z8799 x853 three 7969 cities 5892 on this side 5676 x4480 Yardën יַרדֵּן, 3383 and three 7969 cities 5892 shall ye give 5414 z8799 in the land 776 of Cænä`an כְּנָעַן, 3667 [which] shall be x1961 cities 5892 of refuge. 4733

לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלַגֵּר וְלַתּוֹשָׁב בְּתוֹכָם תִּהְיֶינָה שֵׁשׁ־הֶעָרִים הָאֵלֶּה לְמִקְלָט לָנוּס שָׁמָּה כָּל־מַכֵּה־נֶפֶשׁ בִּשְׁגָגָה

 35:15 liv'nëy yis'räël w'laGër w'laTôshäv B'tôkhäm Tih'yeynäh shësh-heäriym häëLeh l'miq'läţ länûš shäMäh Käl-maKëh-nefesh Bish'gägäh

 35:15 These x428 six 8337 cities 5892 shall be x1961 a refuge, 4733 [both] for the children 1121 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל, 3478 and for the stranger, 1616 and for the sojourner 8453 among 8432 them: that every one x3605 that killeth 5221 z8688 any person 5315 unawares 7684 may flee 5127 z8800 thither. x8033

וְאִם־בִּכְלִי בַרְזֶל הִכָּהוּ וַיָּמֹת רֹצֵחַ הוּא מוֹת יוּמַת הָרֹצֵחַ

 35:16 w'im-Bikh'liy var'zel hiKähû waYämot rotzëªch hû môt yûmat härotzëªch

 35:16 And if x518 he smite 5221 z8689 him with an instrument 3627 of iron, 1270 so that he die, 4191 z8799 he x1931 [is] a murderer: 7523 z8802 the murderer 7523 z8802 shall surely y4191 z8800 be put to death. 4191 z8714

וְאִם בְּאֶבֶן יָד אֲשֶׁר־יָמוּת בָּהּ הִכָּהוּ וַיָּמֹת רֹצֵחַ הוּא מוֹת יוּמַת הָרֹצֵחַ

 35:17 w'im B'even yäd ásher-yämût BäH hiKähû waYämot rotzëªch hû môt yûmat härotzëªch

 35:17 And if x518 he smite 5221 z8689 him with throwing 3027 a stone, 68 wherewith x834 he may die, 4191 z8799 and he die, 4191 z8799 he x1931 [is] a murderer: 7523 z8802 the murderer 7523 z8802 shall surely y4191 z8800 be put to death. 4191 z8714

אוֹ בִּכְלִי עֵץ־יָד אֲשֶׁר־יָמוּת בּוֹ הִכָּהוּ וַיָּמֹת רֹצֵחַ הוּא מוֹת יוּמַת הָרֹצֵחַ

 35:18 ô Bikh'liy ëtz-yäd ásher-yämût Bô hiKähû waYämot rotzëªch hû môt yûmat härotzëªch

 35:18 Or x176 [if] he smite 5221 z8689 him with an hand 3027 weapon 3627 of wood, 6086 wherewith x834 he may die, 4191 z8799 and he die, 4191 z8799 he x1931 [is] a murderer: 7523 z8802 the murderer 7523 z8802 shall surely y4191 z8800 be put to death. 4191 z8714

גֹּאֵל הַדָּם הוּא יָמִית אֶת־הָרֹצֵחַ בְּפִגְעוֹ־בוֹ הוּא יְמִיתֶנּוּ

 35:19 Goël haDäm hû yämiyt et-härotzëªch B'fig'ô-vô hû y'miyteNû

 35:19 The revenger 1350 z8802 of blood 1818 himself x1931 shall slay 4191 z8686 x853 the murderer: 7523 z8802 when he meeteth 6293 z8800 him, he 1931 shall slay 4191 z8686 him.

וְאִם־בְּשִׂנְאָה יֶהְדָּפֶנּוּ אוֹ־הִשְׁלִיךְ עָלָיו בִּצְדִיָּה וַיָּמֹת

 35:20 w'im-B'sin'äh yeh'DäfeNû ô-hish'liykh' äläyw Bitz'diYäh waYämot

 35:20 But if x518 he thrust 1920 z8799 him of hatred, 8135 or x176 hurl 7993 z8689 at x5921 him by laying of wait, 6660 that he die; 4191 z8799

אוֹ בְאֵיבָה הִכָּהוּ בְיָדוֹ וַיָּמֹת מוֹת־יוּמַת הַמַּכֶּה רֹצֵחַ הוּא גֹּאֵל הַדָּם יָמִית אֶת־הָרֹצֵחַ בְּפִגְעוֹ־בוֹ

 35:21 ô v'ëyväh hiKähû v'yädô waYämot môt-yûmat haMaKeh rotzëªch hû Goël haDäm yämiyt et-härotzëªch B'fig'ô-vô

 35:21 Or x176 in enmity 342 smite 5221 z8689 him with his hand, 3027 that he die: 4191 z8799 he that smote 5221 z8688 [him] shall surely y4191 z8800 be put to death; 4191 z8714 [for] he x1931 [is] a murderer: 7523 z8802 the revenger 1350 z8802 of blood 1818 shall slay 4191 z8686 x853 the murderer, 7523 z8802 when he meeteth 6293 z8800 him.

וְאִם־בְּפֶתַע בְּלֹא־אֵיבָה הֲדָפוֹ אוֹ־הִשְׁלִיךְ עָלָיו כָּל־כְּלִי בְּלֹא צְדִיָּה

 35:22 w'im-B'feta B'lo-ëyväh hádäfô ô-hish'liykh' äläyw Käl-K'liy B'lo tz'diYäh

 35:22 But if x518 he thrust 1920 z8804 him suddenly 6621 without 3808 enmity, 342 or x176 have cast 7993 z8689 upon x5921 him any thing 3627 x3605 without x3808 laying of wait, 6660

אוֹ בְכָל־אֶבֶן אֲשֶׁר־יָמוּת בָּהּ בְּלֹא רְאוֹת וַיַּפֵּל עָלָיו וַיָּמֹת וְהוּא לֹא־אוֹיֵב לוֹ וְלֹא מְבַקֵּשׁ רָעָתוֹ

 35:23 ô v'khäl-even ásher-yämût BäH B'lo r'ôt waYaPël äläyw waYämot w'hû lo-ôyëv lô w'lo m'vaQësh räätô

 35:23 Or x176 with any x3605 stone, 68 wherewith x834 a man may die, 4191 z8799 seeing 7200 z8800 [him] not, 3808 and cast 5307 z8686 [it] upon x5921 him, that he die, 4191 z8799 and [was] not x3808 his enemy, 341 z8802 neither x3808 sought 1245 z8764 his harm: 7451

וְשָׁפְטוּ הָעֵדָה בֵּין הַמַּכֶּה וּבֵין גֹּאֵל הַדָּם עַל הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים הָאֵלֶּה

 35:24 w'shäf'ţû häëdäh Bëyn haMaKeh ûvëyn Goël haDäm al haMish'Päţiym häëLeh

 35:24 Then the congregation 5712 shall judge 8199 z8804 between x996 the slayer 5221 z8688 and the revenger 1350 z8802 of blood 1818 according to x5921 these x428 judgments: 4941

וְהִצִּילוּ הָעֵדָה אֶת־הָרֹצֵחַ מִיַּד גֹּאֵל הַדָּם וְהֵשִׁיבוּ אֹתוֹ הָעֵדָה אֶל־עִיר מִקְלָטוֹ אֲשֶׁר־נָס שָׁמָּה וְיָשַׁב בָּהּ עַד־מוֹת הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדֹל אֲשֶׁר־מָשַׁח אֹתוֹ בְּשֶׁמֶן הַקֹּדֶשׁ

 35:25 w'hiTZiylû häëdäh et-härotzëªch miYad Goël haDäm w'hëshiyvû otô häëdäh el-iyr miq'läţô ásher-näš shäMäh w'yäshav BäH ad-môt haKohën haGädol ásher-mäshach otô B'shemen haQodesh

 35:25 And the congregation 5712 shall deliver 5337 z8689 x853 the slayer 7523 z8802 out of the hand 3027 x4480 of the revenger 1350 z8802 of blood, 1818 and the congregation 5712 shall restore 7725 z8689 him to x413 the city 5892 of his refuge, 4733 whither x834 x8033 he was fled: 5127 z8804 and he shall abide 3427 z8804 in it unto x5704 the death 4194 of the high 1419 priest, 3548 which x834 was anointed 4886 z8804 with the holy 6944 oil. 8081

וְאִם־יָצֹא יֵצֵא הָרֹצֵחַ אֶת־גְּבוּל עִיר מִקְלָטוֹ אֲשֶׁר יָנוּס שָׁמָּה

 35:26 w'im-yätzo yëtzë härotzëªch et-G'vûl iyr miq'läţô ásher yänûš shäMäh

 35:26 But if x518 the slayer 7523 z8802 shall at any time y3318 z8800 come y3318 z8799 without 3318 x853 the border 1366 of the city 5892 of his refuge, 4733 whither x834 x8033 he was fled; 5127 z8799

וּמָצָא אֹתוֹ גֹּאֵל הַדָּם מִחוּץ לִגְבוּל עִיר מִקְלָטוֹ וְרָצַח גֹּאֵל הַדָּם אֶת־הָרֹצֵחַ אֵין לוֹ דָּם

 35:27 ûmätzä otô Goël haDäm michûtz lig'vûl iyr miq'läţô w'rätzach Goël haDäm et-härotzëªch ëyn lô Däm

 35:27 And the revenger 1350 z8802 of blood 1818 find 4672 z8804 him without 2351 x4480 the borders 1366 of the city 5892 of his refuge, 4733 and the revenger 1350 z8802 of blood 1818 kill 7523 z8804 x853 the slayer; 7523 z8802 he shall not x369 be guilty of blood: 1818

כִּי בְעִיר מִקְלָטוֹ יֵשֵׁב עַד־מוֹת הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדֹל וְאַחֲרֵי מוֹת הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדֹל יָשׁוּב הָרֹצֵחַ אֶל־אֶרֶץ אֲחֻזָּתוֹ

 35:28 Kiy v'iyr miq'läţô yëshëv ad-môt haKohën haGädol w'achárëy môt haKohën haGädol yäshûv härotzëªch el-eretz áchuZätô

 35:28 Because x3588 he should have remained 3427 z8799 in the city 5892 of his refuge 4733 until x5704 the death 4194 of the high 1419 priest: 3548 but after 310 the death 4194 of the high 1419 priest 3548 the slayer 7523 z8802 shall return 7725 z8799 into x413 the land 776 of his possession. 272

וְהָיוּ אֵלֶּה לָכֶם לְחֻקַּת מִשְׁפָּט לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם בְּכֹל מוֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶם

 35:29 w'häyû ëLeh läkhem l'chuQat mish'Päţ l'dorotëykhem B'khol môsh'votëykhem

 35:29 So these x428 [things] shall be x1961 for a statute 2708 of judgment 4941 unto you throughout your generations 1755 in all x3605 your dwellings. 4186

כָּל־מַכֵּה־נֶפֶשׁ לְפִי עֵדִים יִרְצַח אֶת־הָרֹצֵחַ וְעֵד אֶחָד לֹא־יַעֲנֶה בְנֶפֶשׁ לָמוּת

 35:30 Käl-maKëh-nefesh l'fiy ëdiym yir'tzach et-härotzëªch w'ëd echäd lo-yaáneh v'nefesh lämût

 35:30 Whoso x3605 killeth 5221 z8688 any person, 5315 x853 the murderer 7523 z8802 shall be put to death 7523 z8799 by the mouth 6310 of witnesses: 5707 but one 259 witness 5707 shall not x3808 testify 6030 z8799 against any person 5315 [to cause him] to die. 4191 z8800

וְלֹא־תִקְחוּ כֹפֶר לְנֶפֶשׁ רֹצֵחַ אֲשֶׁר־הוּא רָשָׁע לָמוּת כִּי־מוֹת יוּמָת

 35:31 w'lo-tiq'chû khofer l'nefesh rotzëªch ásher-hû räshä lämût Kiy-môt yûmät

 35:31 Moreover ye shall take 3947 z8799 no x3808 satisfaction 3724 for the life 5315 of a murderer, 7523 z8802 which x834 [is] guilty 7563 of death: 4191 z8800 but x3588 he shall be surely y4191 z8800 put to death. 4191 z8714

וְלֹא־תִקְחוּ כֹפֶר לָנוּס אֶל־עִיר מִקְלָטוֹ לָשׁוּב לָשֶׁבֶת בָּאָרֶץ עַד־מוֹת הַכֹּהֵן

 35:32 w'lo-tiq'chû khofer länûš el-iyr miq'läţô läshûv läshevet Bääretz ad-môt haKohën

 35:32 And ye shall take 3947 z8799 no x3808 satisfaction 3724 for him that is fled 5127 z8800 to x413 the city 5892 of his refuge, 4733 that he should come again 7725 z8800 to dwell 3427 z8800 in the land, 776 until x5704 the death 4194 of the priest. 3548

וְלֹא־תַחֲנִיפוּ אֶת־הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם בָּהּ כִּי הַדָּם הוּא יַחֲנִיף אֶת־הָאָרֶץ וְלָאָרֶץ לֹא־יְכֻפַּר לַדָּם אֲשֶׁר שֻׁפַּךְ־בָּהּ כִּי־אִם בְּדַם שֹׁפְכוֹ
