וַיֹּאמֶר בִּלְעָם אֶל־הָאֱלֹהִים בָּלָק בֶּן־צִפֹּר מֶלֶךְ מוֹאָב שָׁלַח אֵלָי

הִנֵּה הָעָם הַיֹּצֵא מִמִּצְרַיִם וַיְכַס אֶת־עֵין הָאָרֶץ עַתָּה לְכָה קָבָה־לִּי אֹתוֹ אוּלַי אוּכַל לְהִלָּחֶם בּוֹ וְגֵרַשְׁתִּיו

וַיָּקָם בִּלְעָם בַּבֹּקֶר וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל־שָׂרֵי בָלָק לְכוּ אֶל־אַרְצְכֶם כִּי מֵאֵן יְהוָה לְתִתִּי לַהֲלֹךְ עִמָּכֶם

 22:13 waYäqäm Bil'äm BaBoqer waYomer el-särëy väläq l'khû el-ar'tz'khem Kiy mëën y'hwäh l'tiTiy lahálokh' iMäkhem

 22:13 And Bil`äm בִּלעָם 1109 rose up 6965 z8799 in the morning, 1242 and said 559 z8799 unto x413 the princes 8269 of Bäläk בָּלָק, 1111 Get y3212 z8798 x1980 you into x413 your land: 776 for x3588 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 refuseth 3985 z8765 to give me leave 5414 z8800 to go 1980 z8800 with x5973 you.

וַיָּקוּמוּ שָׂרֵי מוֹאָב וַיָּבֹאוּ אֶל־בָּלָק וַיֹּאמְרוּ מֵאֵן בִּלְעָם הֲלֹךְ עִמָּנוּ

 22:14 And the princes 8269 of Mô´äv מוֹאָב 4124 rose up, 6965 z8799 and they went 935 z8799 unto x413 Bäläk בָּלָק, 1111 and said, 559 z8799 Bil`äm בִּלעָם 1109 refuseth 3985 z8765 to come 1980 z8800 with x5973 us.

וַיֹּסֶף עוֹד בָּלָק שְׁלֹחַ שָׂרִים רַבִּים וְנִכְבָּדִים מֵאֵלֶּה

וַיָּבֹאוּ אֶל־בִּלְעָם וַיֹּאמְרוּ לוֹ כֹּה אָמַר בָּלָק בֶּן־צִפּוֹר אַל־נָא תִמָּנַע מֵהֲלֹךְ אֵלָי

 22:20 And ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 came 935 z8799 unto x413 Bil`äm בִּלעָם 1109 at night, 3915 and said 559 z8799 unto him, If x518 the men y582 x376 come 935 z8804 to call 7121 z8800 thee, rise up, 6965 z8798 [and] go y3212 z8798 x1980 with x854 them; but yet 389 x853 the word 1697 which x834 I shall say 1696 z8762 unto x413 thee, that shalt thou do. 6213 z8799

 22:21 And Bil`äm בִּלעָם 1109 rose up 6965 z8799 in the morning, 1242 and saddled 2280 z8799 x853 his ass, 860 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 with x5973 the princes 8269 of Mô´äv מוֹאָב. 4124

וַיִּחַר־אַף אֱלֹהִים כִּי־הוֹלֵךְ הוּא וַיִּתְיַצֵּב מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה בַּדֶּרֶךְ לְשָׂטָן לוֹ וְהוּא רֹכֵב עַל־אֲתֹנוֹ וּשְׁנֵי נְעָרָיו עִמּוֹ

 22:22 ¶ And ´Élöhîm's אֱלֹהִים 430 anger 639 was kindled 2734 z8799 because x3588 he x1931 went: 1980 z8802 and the angel 4397 of Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 stood 3320 z8691 in the way 1870 for an adversary 7854 against him. Now he x1931 was riding 7392 z8802 upon x5921 his ass, 860 and his two 8147 servants 5288 [were] with x5973 him.

וַתֵּרֶא הָאָתוֹן אֶת־מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה נִצָּב בַּדֶּרֶךְ וְחַרְבּוֹ שְׁלוּפָה בְּיָדוֹ וַתֵּט הָאָתוֹן מִן־הַדֶּרֶךְ וַתֵּלֶךְ בַּשָּׂדֶה וַיַּךְ בִּלְעָם אֶת־הָאָתוֹן לְהַטֹּתָהּ הַדָּרֶךְ

וַיֹּאמֶר בִּלְעָם לָאָתוֹן כִּי הִתְעַלַּלְתְּ בִּי לוּ יֶשׁ־חֶרֶב בְּיָדִי כִּי עַתָּה הֲרַגְתִּיךְ

וַתֹּאמֶר הָאָתוֹן אֶל־בִּלְעָם הֲלוֹא אָנֹכִי אֲתֹנְךָ אֲשֶׁר־רָכַבְתָּ עָלַי מֵעוֹדְךָ עַד־הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה הַהַסְכֵּן הִסְכַּנְתִּי לַעֲשׂוֹת לְךָ כֹּה וַיֹּאמֶר לֹא

וַיִּשְׁמַע בָּלָק כִּי בָא בִלְעָם וַיֵּצֵא לִקְרָאתוֹ אֶל־עִיר מוֹאָב אֲשֶׁר עַל־גְּבוּל אַרְנֹן אֲשֶׁר בִּקְצֵה הַגְּבוּל

וַיֹּאמֶר בָּלָק אֶל־בִּלְעָם הֲלֹא שָׁלֹחַ שָׁלַחְתִּי אֵלֶיךָ לִקְרֹא־לָךְ לָמָּה לֹא־הָלַכְתָּ אֵלָי הַאֻמְנָם לֹא אוּכַל כַּבְּדֶךָ

 22:37 And Bäläk בָּלָק 1111 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Bil`äm בִּלעָם, 1109 Did I not x3808 earnestly y7971 z8800 send 7971 z8804 unto x413 thee to call 7121 z8800 thee? wherefore x4100 camest 1980 z8804 thou not x3808 unto x413 me? am I not able 3201 z8799 x3808 indeed 552 to promote thee to honour? 3513 z8763

וַיֹּאמֶר בִּלְעָם אֶל־בָּלָק הִנֵּה־בָאתִי אֵלֶיךָ עַתָּה הֲיָכוֹל אוּכַל דַּבֵּר מְאוּמָה הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר יָשִׂים אֱלֹהִים בְּפִי אֹתוֹ אֲדַבֵּר

 22:38 And Bil`äm בִּלעָם 1109 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Bäläk בָּלָק, 1111 Lo, x2009 I am come 935 z8804 unto x413 thee: have I now x6258 any power y3201 z8799 at all 3201 z8800 to say 1696 z8763 any thing? 3972 the word 1697 that x834 ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 putteth 7760 z8799 in my mouth, 6310 that shall I speak. 1696 z8762
