 27:1 ¶ And Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 said 559 z8799 in x413 his heart, 3820 I shall now x6258 perish 5595 z8735 one 259 day 3117 by the hand 3027 of Šä´ûl שָׁאוּל: 7586 [there is] nothing x369 better 2896 for me than x3588 that y3588 I should speedily y4422 z8736 escape 4422 z8735 into x413 the land 776 of the Pælištîm פְּלִשׁתִּים; 6430 and Šä´ûl שָׁאוּל 7586 shall despair 2976 z8738 of x4480 me, to seek 1245 z8763 me any more x5750 in any x3605 coast 1366 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל: 3478 so shall I escape 4422 z8738 out of his hand. 3027 x4480

וַיָּקָם דָּוִד וַיַּעֲבֹר הוּא וְשֵׁשׁ־מֵאוֹת אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר עִמּוֹ אֶל־אָכִישׁ בֶּן־מָעוֹךְ מֶלֶךְ גַּת

 27:2 waYäqäm Däwid waYaávor hû w'shësh-mëôt iysh ásher iMô el-äkhiysh Ben-mäôkh' melekh' Gat

 27:2 And Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 arose, 6965 z8799 and he x1931 passed over 5674 z8799 with the six 8337 hundred 3967 men 376 that x834 [were] with x5973 him unto x413 ´Äȼîš אָכִישׁ, 397 the son 1121 of Mä`ôȼ מָעוֹך, 4582 king 4428 of Gaŧ גַּת. 1661

וַיֵּשֶׁב דָּוִד עִם־אָכִישׁ בְּגַת הוּא וַאֲנָשָׁיו אִישׁ וּבֵיתוֹ דָּוִד וּשְׁתֵּי נָשָׁיו אֲחִינֹעַם הַיִּזְרְעֵאלִית וַאֲבִיגַיִל אֵשֶׁת־נָבָל הַכַּרְמְלִית

 27:3 waYëshev Däwid im-äkhiysh B'gat hû waánäshäyw iysh ûvëytô Däwid ûsh'Tëy näshäyw áchiynoam haYiz'r'ëliyt waáviygayil ëshet-näväl haKar'm'liyt

וַיֹּאמֶר דָּוִד אֶל־אָכִישׁ אִם־נָא מָצָאתִי חֵן בְּעֵינֶיךָ יִתְּנוּ־לִי מָקוֹם בְּאַחַת עָרֵי הַשָּׂדֶה וְאֵשְׁבָה שָּׁם וְלָמָּה יֵשֵׁב עַבְדְּךָ בְּעִיר הַמַּמְלָכָה עִמָּךְ

 27:5 ¶ And Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 said 559 z8799 unto x413 ´Äȼîš אָכִישׁ, 397 If x518 I have now x4994 found 4672 z8804 grace 2580 in thine eyes, 5869 let them give 5414 z8799 me a place 4725 in some 259 town 5892 in the country, 7704 that I may dwell 3427 z8799 there: x8033 for why x4100 should thy servant 5650 dwell 3427 z8799 in the royal 4467 city 5892 with x5973 thee?

וַיִּתֶּן־לוֹ אָכִישׁ בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא אֶת־צִקְלָג לָכֵן הָיְתָה צִקְלַג לְמַלְכֵי יְהוּדָה עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה פ

 27:6 waYiTen-lô äkhiysh BaYôm hahû et-tziq'läg läkhën häy'täh tziq'lag l'mal'khëy y'hûdäh ad haYôm haZeh f

וַיְהִי מִסְפַּר הַיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר־יָשַׁב דָּוִד בִּשְׂדֵה פְלִשְׁתִּים יָמִים וְאַרְבָּעָה חֳדָשִׁים

 27:8 ¶ And Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 and his men y582 x376 went up, 5927 z8799 and invaded 6584 z8799 x413 the Gæšûrîm גְּשׁוּרִים, 1651 and the Gizrîm גִּזרִים, 1511 and the `Ámälëkîm עֲמָלֵקִים: 6003 for x3588 those 2007 [nations were] of old 5769 x834 x4480 the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of the land, 776 as thou goest 935 z8800 to Šûr שׁוּר, 7793 even unto x5704 the land 776 of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם. 4714

וְהִכָּה דָוִד אֶת־הָאָרֶץ וְלֹא יְחַיֶּה אִישׁ וְאִשָּׁה וְלָקַח צֹאן וּבָקָר וַחֲמֹרִים וּגְמַלִּים וּבְגָדִים וַיָּשָׁב וַיָּבֹא אֶל־אָכִישׁ

 27:9 And Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 smote 5221 z8689 x853 the land, 776 and left x2421 neither x3808 man 376 nor woman 802 alive, y2421 z8762 and took away 3947 z8804 the sheep, 6629 and the oxen, 1241 and the asses, 2543 and the camels, 1581 and the apparel, 899 and returned, 7725 z8799 and came 935 z8799 to x413 ´Äȼîš אָכִישׁ. 397

וַיֹּאמֶר אָכִישׁ אַל־פְּשַׁטְתֶּם הַיּוֹם וַיֹּאמֶר דָּוִד עַל־נֶגֶב יְהוּדָה וְעַל־נֶגֶב הַיַּרְחְמְאֵלִי וְאֶל־נֶגֶב הַקֵּינִי

 27:10 And ´Äȼîš אָכִישׁ 397 said, 559 z8799 Whither 408 have ye made a road 6584 z8804 to day? 3117 And Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 said, 559 z8799 Against x5921 the south 5045 of Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה, 3063 and against x5921 the south 5045 of the Yæraçmæ´ëlîm יְרַחמְאֵלִים, 3397 and against x413 the south 5045 of the Kênîm קֵינִים. 7017

וְאִישׁ וְאִשָּׁה לֹא־יְחַיֶּה דָוִד לְהָבִיא גַת לֵאמֹר פֶּן־יַגִּדוּ עָלֵינוּ לֵאמֹר כֹּה־עָשָׂה דָוִד וְכֹה מִשְׁפָּטוֹ כָּל־הַיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר יָשַׁב בִּשְׂדֵה פְלִשְׁתִּים

 27:11 w'iysh w'iSHäh lo-y'chaYeh däwid l'häviy gat lëmor Pen-yaGidû älëynû lëmor Koh-äsäh däwid w'khoh mish'Päţô Käl-haYämiym ásher yäshav Bis'dëh f'lish'Tiym

 27:11 And Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 saved 2421 z8762 neither x3808 man 376 nor woman 802 alive, y2421 z8762 to bring 935 z8687 [tidings] to Gaŧ גַּת, 1661 saying, 559 z8800 Lest x6435 they should tell 5046 z8686 on x5921 us, saying, 559 z8800 So x3541 did 6213 z8804 Däwiđ דָּוִד, 1732 and so x3541 [will be] his manner 4941 all x3605 the while 3117 he dwelleth 3427 z8804 in the country 7704 of the Pælištîm פְּלִשׁתִּים. 6430

וַיַּאֲמֵן אָכִישׁ בְּדָוִד לֵאמֹר הַבְאֵשׁ הִבְאִישׁ בְּעַמּוֹ בְיִשְׂרָאֵל וְהָיָה לִי לְעֶבֶד עוֹלָם פ

 27:12 waYaámën äkhiysh B'däwid lëmor hav'ësh hiv'iysh B'aMô v'yis'räël w'häyäh liy l'eved ôläm f

 27:12 And ´Äȼîš אָכִישׁ 397 believed 539 z8686 Däwiđ דָּוִד, 1732 saying, 559 z8800 He hath made his people 5971 Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 utterly y887 z8687 to abhor 887 z8689 him; therefore he shall be x1961 my servant 5650 for ever. 5769
