וַיַּנְחֵם אֶת־פְּנֵי מֶלֶךְ מוֹאָב וַיֵּשְׁבוּ עִמּוֹ כָּל־יְמֵי הֱיוֹת־דָּוִד בַּמְּצוּדָה ס

וַיֹּאמֶר שָׁאוּל לַעֲבָדָיו הַנִּצָּבִים עָלָיו שִׁמְעוּ־נָא בְּנֵי יְמִינִי גַּם־לְכֻלְּכֶם יִתֵּן בֶּן־יִשַׁי שָׂדוֹת וּכְרָמִים לְכֻלְּכֶם יָשִׂים שָׂרֵי אֲלָפִים וְשָׂרֵי מֵאוֹת

וַיַּעַן דֹּאֵג הָאֲדֹמִי וְהוּא נִצָּב עַל־עַבְדֵי־שָׁאוּל וַיֹּאמַר רָאִיתִי אֶת־בֶּן־יִשַׁי בָּא נֹבֶה אֶל־אֲחִימֶלֶךְ בֶּן־אֲחִטוּב

וַיִּשְׁאַל־לוֹ בַּיהוָה וְצֵידָה נָתַן לוֹ וְאֵת חֶרֶב גָּלְיָת הַפְּלִשְׁתִּי נָתַן לוֹ

 22:10 And he enquired 7592 z8799 of Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 for him, and gave 5414 z8804 him victuals, 6720 and gave 5414 z8804 him the sword 2719 of Golyäŧ גָּליָת 1555 the Pælištî פְּלִשׁתִּי. 6430

 22:11 Then the king 4428 sent 7971 z8799 to call 7121 z8800 x853 ´Áçîmeleȼ אֲחִימֶלֶך 288 the priest, 3548 the son 1121 of ´Áçiţûv אֲחִטוּב, 285 and all x3605 his father's 1 house, 1004 the priests 3548 that x834 [were] in Növ נֹב: 5011 and they came 935 z8799 all x3605 of them to x413 the king. 4428

וַיֹּאמֶר שָׁאוּל שְׁמַע־נָא בֶּן־אֲחִיטוּב וַיֹּאמֶר הִנְנִי אֲדֹנִי

 22:13 And Šä´ûl שָׁאוּל 7586 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Why x4100 have ye conspired 7194 z8804 against x5921 me, thou x859 and the son 1121 of Yišay יִשַׁי, 3448 in that thou hast given 5414 z8800 him bread, 3899 and a sword, 2719 and hast enquired 7592 z8800 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 for him, that he should rise 6965 z8800 against x413 me, to lie in wait, 693 z8802 as at this x2088 day? 3117

וַיַּעַן אֲחִימֶלֶךְ אֶת־הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיֹּאמַר וּמִי בְכָל־עֲבָדֶיךָ כְּדָוִד נֶאֱמָן וַחֲתַן הַמֶּלֶךְ וְסָר אֶל־מִשְׁמַעְתֶּךָ וְנִכְבָּד בְּבֵיתֶךָ

 22:14 Then ´Áçîmeleȼ אֲחִימֶלֶך 288 answered 6030 z8799 x853 the king, 4428 and said, 559 z8799 And who x4310 [is so] faithful 539 z8737 among all x3605 thy servants 5650 as Däwiđ דָּוִד, 1732 which is the king's 4428 son in law, 2860 and goeth 5493 z8804 at x413 thy bidding, 4928 and is honourable 3513 z8737 in thine house? 1004

וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ לָרָצִים הַנִּצָּבִים עָלָיו סֹבּוּ וְהָמִיתוּ כֹּהֲנֵי יְהוָה כִּי גַם־יָדָם עִם־דָּוִד וְכִי יָדְעוּ כִּי־בֹרֵחַ הוּא וְלֹא גָלוּ אֶת־*אָזְנוֹ [אָזְנִי] וְלֹא־אָבוּ עַבְדֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ לִשְׁלֹחַ אֶת־יָדָם לִפְגֹעַ בְּכֹהֲנֵי יְהוָה ס

וַיַּגֵּד אֶבְיָתָר לְדָוִד כִּי הָרַג שָׁאוּל אֵת כֹּהֲנֵי יְהוָה

שְׁבָה אִתִּי אַל־תִּירָא כִּי אֲשֶׁר־יְבַקֵּשׁ אֶת־נַפְשִׁי יְבַקֵּשׁ אֶת־נַפְשֶׁךָ כִּי־מִשְׁמֶרֶת אַתָּה עִמָּדִי
