 25:2 And [there was] a man 376 in Mä`ôn מָעוֹן, 4584 whose possessions 4639 [were] in Carmel כַּרמֶל; 3760 and the man 376 [was] very 3966 great, 1419 and he had three 7969 thousand 505 sheep, 6629 and a thousand 505 goats: 5795 and he was x1961 shearing 1494 z8800 x853 his sheep 6629 in Carmel כַּרמֶל. 3760

וְשֵׁם הָאִישׁ נָבָל וְשֵׁם אִשְׁתּוֹ אֲבִגָיִל וְהָאִשָּׁה טוֹבַת־שֶׂכֶל וִיפַת תֹּאַר וְהָאִישׁ קָשֶׁה וְרַע מַעֲלָלִים וְהוּא *כָלֶבוֹ [כָלִבִּי]

 25:3 Now the name 8034 of the man 376 [was] Näväl נָבָל; 5037 and the name 8034 of his wife 802 ´Áviqäyil אֲבִגָיִל: 26 and [she was] a woman 802 of good 2896 understanding, 7922 and of a beautiful 3303 countenance: 8389 but the man 376 [was] churlish 7186 and evil 7451 in his doings; 4611 and he x1931 [was] of the house of Cälëv כָּלֵב. y3614 x3612

וַיִּשְׁמַע דָּוִד בַּמִּדְבָּר כִּי־גֹזֵז נָבָל אֶת־צֹאנוֹ

וְעַתָּה שָׁמַעְתִּי כִּי גֹזְזִים לָךְ עַתָּה הָרֹעִים אֲשֶׁר־לְךָ הָיוּ עִמָּנוּ לֹא הֶכְלַמְנוּם וְלֹא־נִפְקַד לָהֶם מְאוּמָה כָּל־יְמֵי הֱיוֹתָם בַּכַּרְמֶל

שְׁאַל אֶת־נְעָרֶיךָ וְיַגִּידוּ לָךְ וְיִמְצְאוּ הַנְּעָרִים חֵן בְּעֵינֶיךָ כִּי־עַל־יוֹם טוֹב בָּנוּ תְּנָה־נָּא אֵת אֲשֶׁר תִּמְצָא יָדְךָ לַעֲבָדֶיךָ וּלְבִנְךָ לְדָוִד

וְלָקַחְתִּי אֶת־לַחְמִי וְאֶת־מֵימַי וְאֵת טִבְחָתִי אֲשֶׁר טָבַחְתִּי לְגֹזְזָי וְנָתַתִּי לַאֲנָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר לֹא יָדַעְתִּי אֵי מִזֶּה הֵמָּה

חוֹמָה הָיוּ עָלֵינוּ גַּם־לַיְלָה גַּם־יוֹמָם כָּל־יְמֵי הֱיוֹתֵנוּ עִמָּם רֹעִים הַצֹּאן

וַתְּמַהֵר *אֲבוֹגַיִל [אֲבִיגַיִל] וַתִּקַּח מָאתַיִם לֶחֶם וּשְׁנַיִם נִבְלֵי־יַיִן וְחָמֵשׁ צֹאן *עֲשָׂווֹת [עֲשׂוּיֹת] וְחָמֵשׁ סְאִים קָלִי וּמֵאָה צִמֻּקִים וּמָאתַיִם דְּבֵלִים וַתָּשֶׂם עַל־הַחֲמֹרִים

 25:18 ¶ Then ´Áviqäyil אֲבִגָיִל 26 made haste, 4116 z8762 and took 3947 z8799 two hundred 3967 loaves, 3899 and two 8147 bottles 5035 of wine, 3196 and five 2568 sheep 6629 ready dressed, 6213 z8803 and five 2568 measures 5429 of parched 7039 [corn], and an hundred 3967 clusters of raisins, 6778 and two hundred 3967 cakes y1690 of figs, x1690 and laid 7760 z8799 [them] on x5921 asses. 2543

וַתֹּאמֶר לִנְעָרֶיהָ עִבְרוּ לְפָנַי הִנְנִי אַחֲרֵיכֶם בָּאָה וּלְאִישָׁהּ נָבָל לֹא הִגִּידָה

וְהָיָה הִיא רֹכֶבֶת עַל־הַחֲמוֹר וְיֹרֶדֶת בְּסֵתֶר הָהָר וְהִנֵּה דָוִד וַאֲנָשָׁיו יֹרְדִים לִקְרָאתָהּ וַתִּפְגֹּשׁ אֹתָם

 25:25 Let y7760 z8799 not x408 my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן, 113 I pray thee, x4994 regard 3820 x7760 x853 x413 this x2088 man 376 of Bæliyya`al בְּלִיַּעַל, 1100 [even] Näväl נָבָל: 5037 for x3588 as his name 8034 [is], so x3651 [is] he; x1931 Näväl נָבָל 5037 [is] his name, 8034 and folly 5039 [is] with x5973 him: but I x589 thine handmaid 519 saw 7200 z8804 not x3808 x853 the young men 5288 of my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן, 113 whom x834 thou didst send. 7971 z8804

וְעַתָּה אֲדֹנִי חַי־יְהוָה וְחֵי־נַפְשְׁךָ אֲשֶׁר מְנָעֲךָ יְהוָה מִבּוֹא בְדָמִים וְהוֹשֵׁעַ יָדְךָ לָךְ וְעַתָּה יִהְיוּ כְנָבָל אֹיְבֶיךָ וְהַמְבַקְשִׁים אֶל־אֲדֹנִי רָעָה

שָׂא נָא לְפֶשַׁע אֲמָתֶךָ כִּי עָשֹׂה־יַעֲשֶׂה יְהוָה לַאדֹנִי בַּיִת נֶאֱמָן כִּי־מִלְחֲמוֹת יְהוָה אֲדֹנִי נִלְחָם וְרָעָה לֹא־תִמָּצֵא בְךָ מִיָּמֶיךָ

 25:36 ¶ And ´Áviqäyil אֲבִגָיִל 26 came 935 z8799 to x413 Näväl נָבָל; 5037 and, behold, x2009 he held a feast 4960 in his house, 1004 like the feast 4960 of a king; 4428 and Näväl's נָבָל 5037 heart 3820 [was] merry 2896 within x5921 him, for he x1931 [was] very 3966 x5704 drunken: 7910 wherefore she told 5046 z8689 him nothing, 1697 x3808 less 6996 or more, 1419 until x5704 the morning 1242 light. 216
