Genesis 3

1 The serpent deceiveth Eve. 6 Man's shameful fall, 9 God arraigneth them. 14 The serpent is cursed. 15 The promised seed. 16 The punishment of mankind. 21 Their first clothing. 22 Their casting out of paradise.

 3:1 Now the serpent 5175 was more 4480 crafty 6175 than 4480 any 3605 beast 2421b of the field 7704 which 834 the LORD 3068 God 430 had made 6213a. And he said 559 to the woman 802, “Indeed 637 3588, has God 430 said 559, ‘You shall not eat 398 from any 3605 tree 6086 of the garden 1588’?”

 3:2 The woman 802 said 559 to the serpent 5175, “From the fruit 6529 of the trees 6086 of the garden 1588 we may eat 398;

 3:3 but from the fruit 6529 of the tree 6086 which 834 is in the middle 8432 of the garden 1588, God 430 has said 559, ‘You shall not eat 398 from it or touch 5060 it, or you will die 4191.’”

 3:4 The serpent 5175 said 559 to the woman 802, “You surely 4191 will not die 4191!

 3:5 “For God 430 knows 3045 that in the day 3117 you eat 398 from it your eyes 5869 will be opened 6491b, and you will be like God 430, knowing 3045 good 2896b and evil 7451b.”

 3:6 When the woman 802 saw 7200 that the tree 6086 was good 2896a for food 3978, and that it was a delight 8378 to the eyes 5869, and that the tree 6086 was desirable 2530 to make [one] wise 7919a, she took 3947 from its fruit 6529 and ate 398; and she gave 5414 also 1571 to her husband 376 with her, and he ate 398.

 3:7 Then the eyes 5869 of both 8147 of them were opened 6491b, and they knew 3045 that they were naked 5903; and they sewed 8609 fig 8384 leaves 5929 together 8609 and made 6213a themselves 1992a loin 2290b coverings 2290b.

 3:8 ¶ They heard 8085 the sound 6963 of the LORD 3068 God 430 walking 1980 in the garden 1588 in the cool 7307 of the day 3117, and the man 120 and his wife 802 hid 2244 themselves from the presence 6440 of the LORD 3068 God 430 among 8432 the trees 6086 of the garden 1588.

 3:9 Then the LORD 3068 God 430 called 7121 to the man 120, and said 559 to him, “Where 335 are you?”

 3:10 He said 559, “I heard 8085 the sound 6963 of You in the garden 1588, and I was afraid 3372a because 3588 I was naked 5903; so I hid 2244 myself.”

 3:11 And He said 559, “Who 4310 told 5046 you that you were naked 5903? Have you eaten 398 from the tree 6086 of which 834 I commanded 6680 you not to eat 398?”

 3:12 The man 120 said 559, “The woman 802 whom 834 You gave 5414 [to be] with me, she gave 5414 me from the tree 6086, and I ate 398.”

 3:13 Then the LORD 3068 God 430 said 559 to the woman 802, “What 4100 is this 2088 you have done 6213a?” And the woman 802 said 559, “The serpent 5175 deceived 5378 me, and I ate 398.”

 3:14 The LORD 3068 God 430 said 559 to the serpent 5175, “Because 3588 you have done 6213a this 2088, Cursed 779 are you more 4480 than 4480 all 3605 cattle 929, And more 4480 than 4480 every 3605 beast 2421b of the field 7704; On your belly 1512 you will go 1980, And dust 6083 you will eat 398 All 3605 the days 3117 of your life 2425b;

 3:15 And I will put 7896 enmity 342 Between 996 you and the woman 802, And between 996 your seed 2233 and her seed 2233; He shall bruise 7779 you on the head 7218, And you shall bruise 7779 him on the heel 6119.”

 3:16 To the woman 802 He said 559, “I will greatly 7235a multiply 7235a Your pain 6093 in childbirth 2032, In pain 6089a you will bring 3205 forth 3205 children 1121; Yet your desire 8669 will be for your husband 376, And he will rule 4910 over you.”

 3:17 Then to Adam 121 He said 559, “Because 3588 you have listened 8085 to the voice 6963 of your wife 802, and have eaten 398 from the tree 6086 about which 834 I commanded 6680 you, saying 559, ‘You shall not eat 398 from it’; Cursed 779 is the ground 127 because 5668 of you; In toil 6093 you will eat 398 of it All 3605 the days 3117 of your life 2425b.

 3:18 “Both thorns 6975 and thistles 1863 it shall grow 6779 for you; And you will eat 398 the plants 6212a of the field 7704;

 3:19 By the sweat 2188 of your face 639 You will eat 398 bread 3899, Till 5704 you return 7725 to the ground 127, Because 3588 from it you were taken 3947; For you are dust 6083, And to dust 6083 you shall return 7725.”

 3:20 ¶ Now the man 120 called 7121 his wife’s 802 name 8034 Eve 2332, because 3588 she was the mother 517 of all 3605 [the] living 2416a.

 3:21 The LORD 3068 God 430 made 6213a garments 3801 of skin 5785 for Adam 121 and his wife 802, and clothed 3847 them.

 3:22 ¶ Then the LORD 3068 God 430 said 559, “Behold 2005, the man 120 has become 1961 like one 259 of Us, knowing 3045 good 2896b and evil 7451b; and now 6258, he might 6435 stretch 7971 out his hand 3027, and take 3947 also 1571 from the tree 6086 of life 2425b, and eat 398, and live 2421a forever 5769”—

 3:23 therefore the LORD 3068 God 430 sent 7971 him out from the garden 1588 of Eden 5731, to cultivate 5647 the ground 127 from which 834 he was taken 3947.

 3:24 So He drove 1644 the man 120 out; and at the east 6924a of the garden 1588 of Eden 5731 He stationed 7931 the cherubim 3742 and the flaming 3858a sword 2719 which turned 2015 every direction to guard 8104 the way 1870 to the tree 6086 of life 2425b.
