Genesis 47

1 Joseph presenteth five of his brethren, 7 and his father, before Pharaoh. 11 He giveth them habitation and maintenance. 13 He getteth all the Egyptians' money, 16 their cattle, 18 their lands to Pharaoh. 22 The priests' land was not bought. 23 He letteth the land to them for a fifth part. 28 Jacob's age. 29 He sweareth Joseph to bury him with his fathers.

 47:1 Then Joseph 3130 went 935 in and told 5046 Pharaoh 6547, and said 559, “My father 1 and my brothers 251 and their flocks 6629 and their herds 1241 and all 3605 that they have, have come 935 out of the land 776 of Canaan 3667a; and behold 2009, they are in the land 776 of Goshen 1657.”

 47:2 He took 3947 five 2568 men 376 from among 7097a his brothers 251 and presented 3322 6440 them to Pharaoh 6547.

 47:3 Then Pharaoh 6547 said 559 to his brothers 251, “What 4100 is your occupation 4639?” So they said 559 to Pharaoh 6547, “Your servants 5650 are shepherds 7462a, both 1571 we and our fathers 1.”

 47:4 They said 559 to Pharaoh 6547, “We have come 935 to sojourn 1481a in the land 776, for there 369 is no 369 pasture 4829 for your servants’ 5650 flocks 6629, for the famine 7458 is severe 3515 in the land 776 of Canaan 3667a. Now 6258, therefore, please 4994 let your servants 5650 live 3427 in the land 776 of Goshen 1657.”

 47:5 Then Pharaoh 6547 said 559 to Joseph 3130, “Your father 1 and your brothers 251 have come 935 to you.

 47:6 “The land 776 of Egypt 4714 is at your disposal 6440; settle 3427 your father 1 and your brothers 251 in the best 4315 of the land 776, let them live 3427 in the land 776 of Goshen 1657; and if 518 you know 3045 any 3426 capable 2428 men 376 among them, then put 7760 them in charge 8269 of my livestock 4735.”

 47:7 ¶ Then Joseph 3130 brought 935 his father 1 Jacob 3290 and presented 5975 6440 him to Pharaoh 6547; and Jacob 3290 blessed 1288 Pharaoh 6547.

 47:8 Pharaoh 6547 said 559 to Jacob 3290, “How 4100 many 4100 years 8141 have you lived 2425b?”

 47:9 So Jacob 3290 said 559 to Pharaoh 6547, “The years 8141 of my sojourning 4033 are one hundred 3967 and thirty 7970; few 4592 and unpleasant 7451a have been 1961 the years 8141 of my life 2425b, nor 3808 have they attained 5381 the years 8141 that my fathers 1 lived 2425b during the days 3117 of their sojourning 4033.”

 47:10 And Jacob 3290 blessed 1288 Pharaoh 6547, and went 3318 out from his presence 6440.

 47:11 So Joseph 3130 settled 3427 his father 1 and his brothers 251 and gave 5414 them a possession 272 in the land 776 of Egypt 4714, in the best 4315 of the land 776, in the land 776 of Rameses 7486, as Pharaoh 6547 had ordered 6680.

 47:12 Joseph 3130 provided 3557 his father 1 and his brothers 251 and all 3605 his father’s 1 household 1004 with food 3899, according 6310 to their little 2945 ones 2945.

 47:13 ¶ Now there 369 was no 369 food 3899 in all 3605 the land 776, because 3588 the famine 7458 was very 3966 severe 3515, so that the land 776 of Egypt 4714 and the land 776 of Canaan 3667a languished 3856 because 4480 6440 of the famine 7458.

 47:14 Joseph 3130 gathered 3950 all 3605 the money 3701 that was found 4672 in the land 776 of Egypt 4714 and in the land 776 of Canaan 3667a for the grain 7668 which 834 they bought 7666, and Joseph 3130 brought 935 the money 3701 into Pharaoh’s 6547 house 1004.

 47:15 When the money 3701 was all 8552 spent 8552 in the land 776 of Egypt 4714 and in the land 776 of Canaan 3667a, all 3605 the Egyptians 4714 came 935 to Joseph 3130 and said 559, “Give 3051 us food 3899, for why 4100 should we die 4191 in your presence 5048? For [our] money 3701 is gone 656.”

 47:16 Then Joseph 3130 said 559, “Give 3051 up your livestock 4735, and I will give 5414 you [food] for your livestock 4735, since 518 [your] money 3701 is gone 656.”

 47:17 So they brought 935 their livestock 4735 to Joseph 3130, and Joseph 3130 gave 5414 them food 3899 in exchange for the horses 5483b and the flocks 6629 and the herds 1241 and the donkeys 2543; and he fed 5095 them with food 3899 in exchange for all 3605 their livestock 4735 that year 8141.

 47:18 When that year 8141 was ended 8552, they came 935 to him the next 8145 year 8141 and said 559 to him, “We will not hide 3582 from my lord 113 that our money 3701 is all 8552 spent 8552, and the cattle 4735 929 are my lord’s 113. There is nothing 3808 left 7604 for my lord 113 except 1115 518 our bodies 1472a and our lands 127.

 47:19 “Why 4100 should we die 4191 before your eyes 5869, both 1571 we and our land 127? Buy 7069 us and our land 127 for food 3899, and we and our land 127 will be slaves 5650 to Pharaoh 6547. So give 5414 us seed 2233, that we may live 2421a and not die 4191, and that the land 127 may not be desolate 3456.”

 47:20 ¶ So Joseph 3130 bought 7069 all 3605 the land 127 of Egypt 4714 for Pharaoh 6547, for every 376 Egyptian 4714 sold 4376 his field 7704, because 3588 the famine 7458 was severe 2388 upon them. Thus the land 776 became 1961 Pharaoh’s 6547.

 47:21 As for the people 5971a, he removed 5674a them to the cities 5892b from one end 7097a of Egypt’s 4714 border 1366 to the other 7097a.

 47:22 Only 7534 the land 127 of the priests 3548 he did not buy 7069, for the priests 3548 had an allotment 2706 from Pharaoh 6547, and they lived 398 off 398 the allotment 2706 which 834 Pharaoh 6547 gave 5414 them. Therefore 5921 3651, they did not sell 4376 their land 127.

 47:23 Then Joseph 3130 said 559 to the people 5971a, “Behold 2005, I have today 3117 bought 7069 you and your land 127 for Pharaoh 6547; now 1887, [here] is seed 2233 for you, and you may sow 2232 the land 127.

 47:24 “At the harvest 8393 you shall give 5414 a fifth 2549 to Pharaoh 6547, and four-fifths 702 3027 shall be your own for seed 2233 of the field 7704 and for your food 400 and for those of your households 1004 and as food 398 for your little 2945 ones 2945.”

 47:25 So they said 559, “You have saved 2421a our lives 2421a! Let us find 4672 favor 2580 in the sight 5869 of my lord 113, and we will be Pharaoh’s 6547 slaves 5650.”

 47:26 Joseph 3130 made 7760 it a statute 2706 concerning 5921 the land 127 of Egypt 4714 [valid] to this 2088 day 3117, that Pharaoh 6547 should have the fifth 2569; only 7534 the land 127 of the priests 3548 did not become 1961 Pharaoh’s 6547.

 47:27 ¶ Now Israel 3478 lived 3427 in the land 776 of Egypt 4714, in Goshen 1657, and they acquired 270 property 270 in it and were fruitful 6509 and became 7235a very 3966 numerous 7235a.

 47:28 Jacob 3290 lived 2421a in the land 776 of Egypt 4714 seventeen 7651 6240 years 8141; so the length 3117 of Jacob’s 3290 life 2425b was one hundred 3967 and forty-seven 705 7651 years 8141.

 47:29 ¶ When the time 3117 for Israel 3478 to die 4191 drew 7126 near 7126, he called 7121 his son 1121 Joseph 3130 and said 559 to him, “Please 4994, if 518 I have found 4672 favor 2580 in your sight 5869, place 7760 now 4994 your hand 3027 under 8478 my thigh 3409 and deal 6213a with me in kindness 2617a and faithfulness 571. Please 4994 do not bury 6912 me in Egypt 4714,

 47:30 but when I lie 7901 down 7901 with my fathers 1, you shall carry 5375 me out of Egypt 4714 and bury 6912 me in their burial 6900 place 6900.” And he said 559, “I will do 6213a as you have said 1697.”

 47:31 He said 559, “Swear 7650 to me.” So he swore 7650 to him. Then Israel 3478 bowed 7812 [in worship] at the head 7218 of the bed 4296.
