Genesis 46

1 Jacob is comforted by God at Beer-sheba. 5 Thence he with his company goeth into Egypt. 8 The number of his family that went into Egypt. 28 Joseph meeteth Jacob. 31 He instructeth his brethren how to answer to Pharaoh.

 46:1 So Israel 3478 set 5265 out with all 3605 that he had, and came 935 to Beersheba 884, and offered 2076 sacrifices 2077 to the God 430 of his father 1 Isaac 3327.

 46:2 God 430 spoke 559 to Israel 3478 in visions 4759a of the night 3915 and said 559, “Jacob 3290, Jacob 3290.” And he said 559, “Here 2009 I am.”

 46:3 He said 559, “I am God 410, the God 430 of your father 1; do not be afraid 3372a to go 3381 down 3381 to Egypt 4714, for I will make 7760 you a great 1419 nation 1471 there 8033.

 46:4 “I will go 3381 down 3381 with you to Egypt 4714, and I will also 1571 surely 5927 bring 5927 you up again 3254; and Joseph 3130 will close 7896 3027 your eyes 5869.”

 46:5 ¶ Then Jacob 3290 arose 6965 from Beersheba 884; and the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 carried 5375 their father 1 Jacob 3290 and their little 2945 ones 2945 and their wives 802 in the wagons 5699 which 834 Pharaoh 6547 had sent 7971 to carry 5375 him.

 46:6 They took 3947 their livestock 4735 and their property 7399, which 834 they had acquired 7408 in the land 776 of Canaan 3667a, and came 935 to Egypt 4714, Jacob 3290 and all 3605 his descendants 2233 with him:

 46:7 his sons 1121 and his grandsons 1121 with him, his daughters 1323 and his granddaughters 1323 1121, and all 3605 his descendants 2233 he brought 935 with him to Egypt 4714.

 46:8 ¶ Now these 428 are the names 8034 of the sons 1121 of Israel 3478, Jacob 3290 and his sons 1121, who went 935 to Egypt 4714: Reuben 7205, Jacob’s 3290 firstborn 1060.

 46:9 The sons 1121 of Reuben 7205: Hanoch 2585 and Pallu 6396 and Hezron 2696 and Carmi 3756.

 46:10 The sons 1121 of Simeon 8095: Jemuel 3223 and Jamin 3226 and Ohad 161 and Jachin 3199 and Zohar 6714 and Shaul 7586 the son 1121 of a Canaanite 3669a woman.

 46:11 The sons 1121 of Levi 3878: Gershon 1648, Kohath 6955, and Merari 4847.

 46:12 The sons 1121 of Judah 3063: Er 6147 and Onan 209 and Shelah 7956 and Perez 6557 and Zerah 2226 (but Er 6147 and Onan 209 died 4191 in the land 776 of Canaan 3667a). And the sons 1121 of Perez 6557 were Hezron 2696 and Hamul 2538.

 46:13 The sons 1121 of Issachar 3485: Tola 8439a and Puvvah 6312 and Iob 3102 and Shimron 8110b.

 46:14 The sons 1121 of Zebulun 2074: Sered 5624 and Elon 356 and Jahleel 3177.

 46:15 These 428 are the sons 1121 of Leah 3812, whom 834 she bore 3205 to Jacob 3290 in Paddan-aram 6307, with his daughter 1323 Dinah 1783; all 3605 his sons 1121 and his daughters 1323 [numbered] thirty-three 7970 7969.

 46:17 The sons 1121 of Asher 836: Imnah 3232 and Ishvah 3438 and Ishvi 3440 and Beriah 1283 and their sister 269 Serah 8294. And the sons 1121 of Beriah 1283: Heber 2268 and Malchiel 4439.

 46:18 These 428 are the sons 1121 of Zilpah 2153, whom 834 Laban 3837a gave 5414 to his daughter 1323 Leah 3812; and she bore 3205 to Jacob 3290 these 428 sixteen 8337a 6240 persons 5315.

 46:19 The sons 1121 of Jacob’s 3290 wife 802 Rachel 7354: Joseph 3130 and Benjamin 1144.

 46:20 Now to Joseph 3130 in the land 776 of Egypt 4714 were born 3205 Manasseh 4519 and Ephraim 669, whom 834 Asenath 621, the daughter 1323 of Potiphera 6319, priest 3548 of On 204, bore 3205 to him.

 46:21 The sons 1121 of Benjamin 1144: Bela 1106a and Becher 1071 and Ashbel 788, Gera 1617 and Naaman 5283, Ehi 278 and Rosh 7220a, Muppim 4649 and Huppim 2650 and Ard 714.

 46:22 These 428 are the sons 1121 of Rachel 7354, who 834 were born 3205 to Jacob 3290; [there were] fourteen 702 6240 persons 5315 in all 3605.

 46:26 All 3605 the persons 5315 belonging to Jacob 3290, who came 935 to Egypt 4714, his direct 3409 descendants 3318, not including 905 the wives 802 of Jacob’s 3290 sons 1121, [were] sixty-six 8346 8337a persons 5315 in all 3605,

 46:27 and the sons 1121 of Joseph 3130, who were born 3205 to him in Egypt 4714 were two 8147; all 3605 the persons 5315 of the house 1004 of Jacob 3290, who came 935 to Egypt 4714, [were] seventy 7657.

 46:28 ¶ Now he sent 7971 Judah 3063 before 6440 him to Joseph 3130, to point 3384 out [the way] before 6440 him to Goshen 1657; and they came 935 into the land 776 of Goshen 1657.

 46:29 Joseph 3130 prepared 631 his chariot 4818 and went 5927 up to Goshen 1657 to meet 7122 his father 1 Israel 3478; as soon as he appeared 7200 before 413 him, he fell 5307 on his neck 6677 and wept 1058 on his neck 6677 a long 5750 time 5750.

 46:30 Then Israel 3478 said 559 to Joseph 3130, “Now 6471 let me die 4191, since 310 I have seen 7200 your face 6440, that you are still 5750 alive 2416a.”

 46:31 Joseph 3130 said 559 to his brothers 251 and to his father’s 1 household 1004, “I will go 5927 up and tell 5046 Pharaoh 6547, and will say 559 to him, ‘My brothers 251 and my father’s 1 household 1004, who 834 [were] in the land 776 of Canaan 3667a, have come 935 to me;

 46:32 and the men 376 are shepherds 7462a, for they have been 1961 keepers 376 of livestock 4735; and they have brought 935 their flocks 6629 and their herds 1241 and all 3605 that they have.’

 46:33 “When 3588 Pharaoh 6547 calls 7121 you and says 559, ‘What 4100 is your occupation 4639?’

 46:34 you shall say 559, ‘Your servants 5650 have been 1961 keepers 376 of livestock 4735 from our youth 5271 even until 5704 now 6258, both 1571 we and our fathers 1,’ that you may live 3427 in the land 776 of Goshen 1657; for every 3605 shepherd 7462a is loathsome 8441 to the Egyptians 4714.”
