Genesis 13

1 Abram and Lot return out of Egypt. 7 By disagreement they part asunder. 10 Lot goeth to wicked Sodom. 14 God reneweth the promise to Abram. 18 He reneweth the promise to Abram. 18 He removeth to Hebron, and there buildeth an altar.

 13:1 So Abram 87 went 5927 up from Egypt 4714 to the Negev 5045, he and his wife 802 and all 3605 that belonged to him, and Lot 3876 with him.

 13:2 ¶ Now Abram 87 was very 3966 rich 3515 in livestock 4735, in silver 3701 and in gold 2091.

 13:3 He went 1980 on his journeys 4550 from the Negev 5045 as far 5704 as Bethel 1008, to the place 4725 where 834 8033 his tent 168 had been 1961 at the beginning 8462, between 996 Bethel 1008 and Ai 5857,

 13:4 to the place 4725 of the altar 4196 which 834 he had made 6213a there 8033 formerly 7223; and there 8033 Abram 87 called 7121 on the name 8034 of the LORD 3068.

 13:5 Now Lot 3876, who went 1980 with Abram 87, also 1571 had 1961 flocks 6629 and herds 1241 and tents 168.

 13:6 And the land 776 could not sustain 5375 them while dwelling 3427 together 3164a, for their possessions 7399 were so great 7227a that they were not able 3201 to remain 3427 together 3164a.

 13:7 And there was strife 7379 between 996 the herdsmen 7462a of Abram’s 87 livestock 4735 and the herdsmen 7462a of Lot’s 3876 livestock 4735. Now the Canaanite 3669a and the Perizzite 6522 were dwelling 3427 then 227 in the land 776.

 13:8 ¶ So Abram 87 said 559 to Lot 3876, “Please 4994 let there be no 408 strife 4808 between 996 you and me, nor between 996 my herdsmen 7462a and your herdsmen 7462a, for we are brothers 251.

 13:9 “Is not the whole 3605 land 776 before 6440 you? Please 4994 separate 6504 from me; if 518 [to] the left 8040, then I will go 3231 to the right 3231; or if 518 [to] the right 3225, then I will go 8041 to the left 8041.”

 13:10 Lot 3876 lifted 5375 up his eyes 5869 and saw 7200 all 3605 the valley 3603 of the Jordan 3383, that it was well 4945b watered 4945b everywhere 3605—[this was] before 6440 the LORD 3068 destroyed 7843 Sodom 5467 and Gomorrah 6017—like the garden 1588 of the LORD 3068, like the land 776 of Egypt 4714 as you go 935 to Zoar 6820.

 13:11 So Lot 3876 chose 977 for himself all 3605 the valley 3603 of the Jordan 3383, and Lot 3876 journeyed 5265 eastward 6924a. Thus they separated 6504 from each 376 other 251.

 13:12 Abram 87 settled 3427 in the land 776 of Canaan 3667a, while Lot 3876 settled 3427 in the cities 5892b of the valley 3603, and moved 167 his tents 167 as far 5704 as Sodom 5467.

 13:13 Now the men 376 of Sodom 5467 were wicked 7451a exceedingly 3966 and sinners 2400 against the LORD 3068.

 13:14 ¶ The LORD 3068 said 559 to Abram 87, after 310 Lot 3876 had separated 6504 from him, “Now 4994 lift 5375 up your eyes 5869 and look 7200 from the place 4725 where 834 8033 you are, northward 6828 and southward 5045 and eastward 6924b and westward 3220;

 13:15 for all 3605 the land 776 which 834 you see 7200, I will give 5414 it to you and to your descendants 2233 forever 5704 5769.

 13:16 “I will make 7760 your descendants 2233 as the dust 6083 of the earth 776, so 834 that if 518 anyone 376 can 3201 number 4487 the dust 6083 of the earth 776, then your descendants 2233 can also 1571 be numbered 4487.

 13:17 “Arise 6965, walk 1980 about the land 776 through its length 753 and breadth 7341; for I will give 5414 it to you.”

 13:18 Then Abram 87 moved 167 his tent 167 and came 935 and dwelt 3427 by the oaks 436 of Mamre 4471, which 834 are in Hebron 2275a, and there 8033 he built 1129 an altar 4196 to the LORD 3068.
